Yes or No; some I'm thinking about adding?

This is a few I’m thinking about re-adding, or newly adding to my list; what do you think? (sorry, this may be a particularly long list. Also, disclaimer: I know my style is ‘old’ or ‘dated’ or ‘clunky’, there’s no need to tell me apologetically that [name_f]Hester[/name_f] is an old lady name to you  !) -

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - does this sound like aloe vera to you?
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f]
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - pn ‘luh-TEES’, I know it looks like lettuce but I’m more worried it comes off as a bit… highstrung?
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f]
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - would you say TWILL-ah or TWY-la?
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]
Hesper - would people be confused here? It means ‘evening star’ which is lovely
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - I know this feels tired but only recently I’ve seen the appeal
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - probably nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f], I like the idea of [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] too for it’s literary reference (possibly not the greatest)
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - I still love ‘just [name_u]Billie[/name_u]’ but this is appealing to me now too
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f]
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - wondering if it looks too much like ‘he be’
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f]
[name_f]Zita[/name_f]
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - again maybe too placenamey; I’ve always considered it quite masculine too.

Thank you!

I love [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], not a fan of the rest sorry.

Yes: [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], [name_f]Alida[/name_f], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], [name_f]Twila[/name_f], Hesper, [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], [name_f]Zita[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_u]Penrose[/name_u], [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f]

No: [name_f]Elvira[/name_f], [name_f]Desdemona[/name_f], [name_f]Lettice[/name_f], [name_f]Hester[/name_f], [name_f]Bibiana[/name_f], [name_f]Dolores[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f], [name_f]Hebe[/name_f], [name_f]Alberta[/name_f]

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - beautiful, doesn’t have the aloe vera connotation to me.
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - nah.
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - I actually quite like this.
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - nah, reminds me of both lettuce and lettice.
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Alida[/name_f]! [name_f]Elida[/name_f] looks strange to me though. Maybe you like [name_f]Alina[/name_f] as well?
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - all I can see is virgin-ia.
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - nah. I’d pronounce it as Twy-la.
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - I know a six-year-old [name_f]Hester[/name_f] and it’s actually so cute on her, I think this one is definitely ripe for revival.
Hesper - oh I love this!! Never heard this before though.
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - prefer [name_f]Viviana[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - love!! One of my favorite names.
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - like it.
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - cute! [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is a sweet nn but calling her [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] doesn’t seem like the greatest of ideas to me…
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - nah.
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - looks very made up to me, I prefer [name_f]Rosella[/name_f].
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - very cute!
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - it’s alright, I prefer [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] / [name_f]Celestia[/name_f].
[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - not really sure what I think of this one, it sounds cute but something’s off…
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - nah.
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - I don’t really care for this one, very much dolphin associations towards the latter.
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - cute, I think it could grow on me.

[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love [name_f]Zita[/name_f] and [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]! [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] are also quite pretty.

I’d say yes to

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f]
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is the only one I love though.

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - definitely too much like aloe vera for me, haha

[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - All I see is ‘Demon’ in it, so probably not a good idea.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - one of my favourites, [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is lovely!

[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - this reminds me of [name_f]Lettice[/name_f] Rowbotham off of BGT this year (http://i7.cdnds.net/14/18/450x450/rexfeatures_3707505dn.jpg ), she developed a reputation for being very posh, but she was certainly talented. I’m a bit indifferent on it.

[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f] - not a fan I’m afraid. I did find the name Eleda (not sure if it’s similar/a variant) recently though.

[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - my aunty (my mum’s closest sister) is named [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]. I really like it

[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - I would say this as Twy-la. It’s pretty.

[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - [name_f]Hester[/name_f] is very nice, I like it, but prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f].

Hesper - Hesper is lovely, but it may be too close to [name_f]Hester[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about Hespera?

[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - definitely not a fan of this one. It feels along the same lines as [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] for me.

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is gorgeous, but does have pronunciations issues. Are you using [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-ah-lynd, or [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-ah-lynd?

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - I really like [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] myself

[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - definitely not a fan, it’s just got an icky feel to me. Along the same lines as [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] for me. [name_f]Lolita[/name_f], although recently used by an actor in the UK ([name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_u]Roche[/name_u]), I definitely think is too negatively attached to the book. I love [name_f]Lola[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - I’m not a fan of [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]/[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f], but [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is gorgeous. [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] is ok, but may be confusing to some.

[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - gorgeous!

[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - Definitely too much like ‘he be’ for me. I dislike this one a lot.

[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - nice, but I prefer [name_f]Celestia[/name_f]

[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - all I see is ‘zit’

[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - eh, being Canadian all I think of is the province, but it has potential.

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]! [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] is nice too, but [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is by far my favourite!

[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - not a fan at all, it just doesn’t feel like a name, if that makes sense?

Italics means maybe/indifferent/not my style. Plain (no changes) means I wouldn’t add it. Bold means I love it/definitely add it.

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - I don’t hear “aloe vera,” though it does come across as a very stereotypical goth name, along the lines of [name_f]Ravenna[/name_f].
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - I like this name, but the Shakespearean maiden is not a fortunate one. There’s also the word “demon” in the name, and that not-so-attractive “moan” syllable.
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - I like for author [name_u]Christie[/name_u]. It’s not my style, but nice.
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - I think it’d get mispronounced constantly as “lettuce.” Makes me think of the vegetable, and does sound a bit high-strung.
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Leda[/name_f].
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - It has a nice enough sound, but it makes me think of how [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] was objectified by her virginity.
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - I say twill-uh. Nms, but okay.
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - it’s not a bad name, but like [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] or [name_f]Beyonce[/name_f], it’s one of those names that sort of belongs to a single figure, in this case [name_f]Hester[/name_f] Prynne.
Hesper - actually, Hespera means evening star, and she is one of Greek mythologies’ Hesperides. I prefer Hespera to Hesper.
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - not a fan.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - lovely, though I prefer [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f].
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - definitely tired. [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] is remotely more appealing, but frankly I’m a bit done with the entire [name_u]Alex[/name_u]- family.
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - meh.
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - meh.
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - a bit too much of something, I don’t know. Perhaps you’d like [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]?
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - it does look a bit like “he be,” and you might get some odd looks. Perhaps you’d like [name_f]Hestia[/name_f] or her [name_m]Roman[/name_m] counterpart [name_f]Vesta[/name_f]?
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - gorgeous.
[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Vita[/name_f].
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - nothing wrong with it, not my style, though. I like nn [name_m]Albie[/name_m].
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - cute.

Are you happy to be back home in [name_f]England[/name_f], Oliviasarah?

Keep

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - I love mysteries so the literary pedigree with Ms [name_u]Christie[/name_u] appeals to me
[name_f]Alida[/name_f] - pretty and feminine
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and this is close enough
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - full of energy
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - although you will have to choose between [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f].
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - classics can never be “tired”
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - chic and sophisticated
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - I like it even if it’s clunky
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - I prefer the [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] spelling as well as just [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - see [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - so many wonderful nn options ([name_f]Ginger[/name_f], [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_f]Gigi[/name_f])
[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - an underused saint name.

Eliminate

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - this makes me think of vampire “[name_f]Elvira[/name_f], Mistress of the Dark”.
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - a most unfortunate and tragic Shakepearean character
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - it comes off as a bit snobby to me
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - TWY-la would be how I pronounce it.
Hesper - I like the meaning but prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f] or [name_f]Hester[/name_f] to this version
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - this name is too similar to the term “hebe gebe’s” (minor fright or apprehension)
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - a Canadian province
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - better in the middle spot

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - I have heard of an [name_f]Elvira[/name_f] or two so the name it’s not at all unusual to me. I am pretty sure it has a nice meaning.
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - No. Doesn’t it mean “misery”?
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - Beautiful name. I like it with the ones in your signature.
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - I am in the minority, but I think [name_f]Lettice[/name_f] is pretty.
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Elida[/name_f] but I am lukewarm to both.
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name. [name_f]Ginger[/name_f] is such a good, old school nickname.
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - [name_f]Twila[/name_f] sounds very quirky, like a little bird tweeting. I am not sure about the pronounciation but I like both variations.
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f].
Hesper - I can’t imagine it on a real child, sorry. [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] looks and sounds more user-friendly.
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - Remindes me of beavers because of its similarity to [name_f]Biber[/name_f], sorry.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - That’s a nice Shakespearean one, not like [name_f]Desdemona[/name_f].
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - I haven’t met a nice [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] myself so I can’t make myself like it. I like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] but not [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f].
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - Nice. Since first hearing it in my Spanish class, I have liked [name_f]Dolores[/name_f].
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f] and [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f]. One of my my absolute favorites.
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - Too complicated for me, I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - Looks like you are a lover of He-names. I prefer [name_f]Hester[/name_f] to [name_f]Hebe[/name_f] and Hesper.
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - Good name with good meaning.
[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - I can only imagine how many “Where is [name_f]Gita[/name_f]?” comments she may get.
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - I like “clunky” feminizations, so yes.
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] remindes me of sororities but [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is beautiful.
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - It’s a bit too masculine to me.

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f] - yes to both
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - yes
Hesper - yes
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - yes, this is my favorite, with [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] as close second
[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - no
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - yes

Thanks [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], These are some stop and think names. Made my mind work. Some of your choices are wonderfully unique and I enjoyed dissecting them. But then again my opinions don’t count for much!

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - does this sound like aloe vera to you? No it sounds like the Oakridge boys song.
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f]- Magical heroine or villain.
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]-hmmm
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - Depends on what ethnic origin—Beautiful if in the right hands!
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f]- Like
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]- like with the right middle name!
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - would you say TWILL-ah or TWY-la? Twylah and not so well!
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]- jury is out–way out!
Hesper - I really like it!
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f]- Sounds Bibliography-quite a mouthful!
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] old-timey!
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - [name_m]Way[/name_m] over used
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - Maybe Doloria?
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - Another fantasy name!
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f]- not quite getting it!
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - wondering if it looks too much like ‘he be’- yes it does.
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f]- fair
[name_f]Zita[/name_f]- sounds too much like pasta! But it also sounds [name_f]Happy[/name_f]!
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]- Very Blah
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - [name_f]Do[/name_f] not care for this.
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - made up [name_m]Author[/name_m] name, but yet quite rollicking! I can see this as a future name 10 years from now!

a yes from me: [name_f]Elvira[/name_f] (It doesn’t sound like Aloe [name_f]Vera[/name_f] to me though), [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], [name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], [name_f]Twila[/name_f] (I always pronounced it TWY-la), [name_f]Hester[/name_f], Hesper, [name_f]Bibiana[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f], [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], [name_f]Zita[/name_f], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] ([name_f]Delphi[/name_f] is on my own list) and [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]

Wow lots of responses, thanks to all - I really appreciate this sort of feedback

@melusina - [name_f]Alina[/name_f] is pretty, thanks. [name_f]Viviana[/name_f] is nice too, but the [name_f]Viv[/name_f]- trend in general has never really appealed to me and I love [name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] for the [name_f]Bibi[/name_f] nickname. I hadn’t really thought of the dolphin thing with [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] but I guess that’s quite prominent, actually.

@lawsonhaley - I haven’t really followed BGT this year but yes! I was so glad to see a [name_f]Lettice[/name_f], although I remember one of the judges saying ‘lettuce’? I was so angry haha. I guess her poshness didn’t really help the image either, but at least it showed people I wasn’t just mispronouncing lettuce! On another note, I hadn’t seen the ‘zit’ in [name_f]Zita[/name_f] but thanks for pointing it out. I guess I was more worried people would only associate it with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m].

@bibliophile - [name_f]Elvira[/name_f] is definitely a goth name, haha, I think that’s why I’m drawn to it. The virgin part of [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] bothers me massively too, otherwise it would be top of my favourites (and totally, the way female virginity is used as a form of oppression/control through the way it’s exalted generally, more than the word or concept itself). [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] is lovely and I love the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] connection I just feel it’s a bit, plain? Like [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], a smush of a common prefix and suffix.

@mischa - Yes I am, thanks! [name_f]Nova[/name_f] [name_f]Scotia[/name_f] is beautiful, but I actually arrived back a couple of weeks ago (earlier than expected due to family circumstances. I’ve only got round to changing my NB details today) and it’s so nice to be home.
I hadn’t really thought of ‘hebe gebes’, but yes definitely a reason to be put off by [name_f]Hebe[/name_f]. It’s a bit of a shame.

@handsallover - [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] is lovely, but all I think of is the motorbikes/scooters [name_f]Vespa[/name_f] (my grandfather’s fault; they sound the same in my accent). Looks like I am a fan of He- names, haha, I hadn’t even noticed. But yes I do tend to think they’re all lovely.

@prairiekeeper - Haha, you’re welcome. I think these are probably more exotic-royalty themed than my normal style but I definitely enjoy unusual names. Doloria is a lovely suggestion, I’ve actually never heard of it. I like [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] for her absolute old-fashioned, Spanish Catholicism imagery (and sort of the [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] reference). Is [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] an literary name too? I wasn’t aware, it’s the name of a couple of Southern, costal towns in the UK and sort of makes me think of pirates haha. I’d love it to shoot into popularity but I don’t really see it happening, like others have mentioned it doesn’t really carry ‘‘normal name’’ characteristics even.

@jala_sterling - thanks, I like [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] a lot too. I knew a sweet little girl a few years ago and I’ve thought it was wonderful since (her twin sister was [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], an unusual pairing). I love your signature by the way!

The ones I particularly like:

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f]
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f]
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]
Hesper
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (or [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f])
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f]
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f]
[name_f]Zita[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u]

[name_u]Love[/name_u]/Like:
Elvira
Agatha
Rosalind
Dolores
Celestine
Delphi/Delphine

NMS:
Desdemona
Lettice
Alida/Elida
Twila Sounds a little like a slang term for a female Twilight fan
Hester I think of fester (septic wound)
Hesper
Bibiana
Zita - “Zit” part of this may lead to teasing
Sibylla I prefer [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], which could still have the nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u]
Alexandra
Rosalba
Hebe - reminds be of the “hebejebes”
Alberta
Penrose

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - well I adore this and not many people do so go, go and add it to your list
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f] - a bit too complicated for me
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - great
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - didn’t you have this on your list for a while? I’m not a huge fan but as you seem unsure about [name_f]Lettice[/name_f] yourself, maybe wait a bit and then decide. Or put it on and see?
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f] - I prefer the look and sound of [name_f]Elida[/name_f]. It’s interesting.
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] - not a huge fan.
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - Twy-lah.
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] - I like the sound but prefer the similar [name_f]Esther[/name_f].
Hesper - this one reminds me of [name_f]Vespa[/name_f].
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] - I associate this name with a [name_m]German[/name_m] children’s character that I loved as a kid (even though she’s just [name_f]Bibi[/name_f]). However that association makes it hard for me to take the name seriously.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - lovely
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - I don’t see the appeal. It has always been very masculine sounding to me.
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Lola[/name_f] but am not a fan of [name_f]Dolores[/name_f].
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - I’m one of the few who prefers just [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. Maybe because [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is quirky and fun while [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] is very serious to me.
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] feels like two names smushed together.
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - I’m unsure of the pronunciation.
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - very beautiful.
[name_f]Zita[/name_f] - I like it
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] - it’s to [name_f]Berta[/name_f] for me.
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - sorry, never been a fan as I just hear “Dolphin”.
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - nice

I really like Twlila (TWY-LA preferred prn) [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_f]Zita[/name_f], [name_f]Alberta[/name_f], [name_f]Alida[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] and [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]. I like the nickname [name_f]Lola[/name_f] more than the name [name_f]Dolores[/name_f], [name_f]Bibiana[/name_f] is growing on me- I love saying it out loud it sounds fun.

I’m not so keen on [name_f]Elvira[/name_f], [name_f]Desdemona[/name_f], [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], [name_f]Lettice[/name_f], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], [name_f]Hester[/name_f], Hesper, [name_f]Hebe[/name_f], [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Virginia[/name_f]!!! I also like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] but not as much as [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] and the other names aren’t very easy for the public to pronounce.

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f] - Ni. No, it doesn’t remind me of Aloe [name_f]Vera[/name_f], but it reminds me of Elves.
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f]- no
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]- yes
[name_f]Lettice[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Alida[/name_f]/[name_f]Elida[/name_f]- yes
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]- no
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] - I say Twy-la (like twilight)
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]- no
Hesper -yes (I love the meaning) Have you considered Hespera? (I prefere Hespera but Hesper is nice too)
[name_f]Bibiana[/name_f]- no
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]- yes
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - yes
[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] - yes (have you cosindered [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f]? I prefer [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f] but I like [name_f]Sibylla[/name_f] too)
[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f]- yes
[name_f]Hebe[/name_f] - no
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f]- yes
[name_f]Zita[/name_f]- no
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]- no
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]- [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] no, [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] yes
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - I like [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] for a character, but not a real person. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a bit too wordy for real life. Would make a cool middle also.
