You all have the best suggestions!

I’ve been reading the posts on this site since I found I was pregnant with baby number 2 ten weeks ago. I’ve been really benefitting from all your fun and classy suggestions. We find out in 4 weeks what we’re having and my hubby and I can’t agree on anything! So I would love some help when you get a chance. Here’s some info that will clue you into our conflict of taste:
I like girls’ names like [name]Piper[/name], [name]Scout[/name], [name]Swede[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Grey[/name], and [name]Penn[/name]. So far the only guys names I’m liking this time around are [name]Maddox[/name] and [name]Warren[/name]. Hubby likes girls’ names like [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Addison[/name], [name]Alena[/name]. We both like [name]Zoe[/name], but I’ve heard it’s getting very popular. We know the girl middle name will be [name]Marie[/name] and I’d like [name]David[/name] as the boy middle after my dad, but we’re not sure on that one. Our two year old son is [name]Liam[/name] [name]Chase[/name].
Ok that’s it! I appreciate any help at all! I’m not attatched to the names I listed, but I do like them a lot:-)

[name]Welcome[/name] and congratulations on your pregnancy! [name]Liam[/name] is a great name, and Nameberry posters will hopefully be able to help you name [name]Liam[/name]'s sibling. [name]Do[/name] you want the baby’s name to match [name]Liam[/name]'s style? I ask, only because [name]Maddox[/name] and [name]Liam[/name] aren’t of the same style. Let us know! Of your girls names, I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Blythe[/name], and [name]Piper[/name] is cute, too.

[name]Zoe[/name] is #56 on the social security list, so if its popularity bothers you, you may want to stay away from names like [name]Addison[/name], which is ranked #11 in popularity. [name]Just[/name] type any name into the “check out a name” box, and you can read about its style and ranking.

Some random ideas that work with [name]Liam[/name]:

[name]Stella[/name] (unless you’re worried that people will assume you idolize [name]Tori[/name] Spelling and her hubby, [name]Dean[/name])

Unisex girls:

I hope this helps!

[name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Maisie[/name] would be so cute with [name]Liam[/name].

[name]Susan[/name], [name]Maisie[/name] would be so darling! [name]Daisy[/name], too!

Wow! Thank you for all those wonderful suggestions. It help me think outside the box of the small little town I live in (I know a LOT of little Maddisons and Jakes:-). I’m not sure how I feel about [name]Liam[/name] and his sibling having the same style of name. I just really want them to sound good together (no [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Ian[/name] for example). I liked a lot of the girls names you suggested [name]Jill[/name]! I especially like [name]Isla[/name] (is that pronounced I-lah?), [name]Maisie[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Riley[/name]. I think I like [name]Esme[/name], but I’m not sure how I would pronounce it. I still really like [name]Blythe[/name], but is it too old fashioned?

I’m having an even harder time with boys names, because I think we picked the best boy name already–[name]Liam[/name] I’m having a hard time finding one I like as much, although I do like [name]Connor[/name].

Thanks again for the welcome and the suggestions!

So now I’m really liking [name]Everett[/name] for a boy, because the nickname Rett would be very handsome. [name]Do[/name] you you think [name]David[/name] would be a good middle name? Still up for other boys suggestions, though!

I think [name]Everett[/name] [name]David[/name] is a great name! [name]LOVE[/name] the nickname - I have a great friend named [name]Rhett[/name] - wonderful guy!! I think [name]Blythe[/name] is great, too!

I’m late to the party, as always. :frowning: But reading your original post I thought maybe [name]Zoya[/name] would appeal to you. It’s the Russian form of [name]Zoe[/name] and is a lot less common than [name]Zoe[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a thought. I adore [name]Zoya[/name] but can’t use it myself.

From what else I’ve read, [name]Everett[/name] [name]David[/name] is really handsome. A bit casual sounding for me but it’s not my kid. Some other suggestions for boys (at least first):

To go with [name]Liam[/name], I’d choose [name]Colm[/name] [name]David[/name] or [name]Callum[/name] [name]David[/name], mself. [name]Euan[/name] [name]David[/name] is darn handsome, too!

And I really love [name]Blythe[/name] from you piossible girls list, so here are some girls in a similar vein:

[name]Just[/name] random thinking. [name]Hope[/name] it helps!

[name]Just[/name] a suggestion… Have you considered [name]Blair[/name] as a girl’s name? I have a cousin named [name]Blair[/name] and have always loved the name. It’s similar in sound to [name]Blythe[/name], so thought you might like that one

I also like [name]Piper[/name] on your girl’s list! I also think [name]Grey[/name] would be an adorable middle name!

Yes, [name]Isla[/name] is eye-la. Isn’t it pretty? As for names that go with [name]Liam[/name], certain names sound good together, and some just don’t go together. It’s kind of like wearing a blue shoe on your right foot and a red one on your left, or pairing an evening gown with tennis shoes.

A solid, Irish classic like [name]Liam[/name], for example, works with similar solid names. [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Isla[/name] goes nicely, but [name]Liam[/name] with a name like [name]Jayden[/name], on the other hand, doesn’t work. (Not that this was one of your names!) This is what I meant by matching styles of names.

[name]Connor[/name] and [name]Liam[/name] sound fanastic together, by the way!
