you lurk on New Mommy forums to find out what names they’ve picked when their babies are born!
Yeah, I’m such a nerd…

Yeah, I’m such a nerd…
So am I lol I’ve been reading birth notices since I was a kid! And making lists of favourites… thats why I was glad when I found this website, I realised I was not alone in my love of names
You anticipate the next nameberry blog…EVERYDAY
You have a secret stash of lists you’ve made since you were twelve…hidden from your family.
When you scour the film credits for a new name and read all the names of the streets in a new area in case you find a name that gives you new name ideas.
Oh, granny rollo looks like you will be a name nerd forever.
[name]Long[/name] Live the Name Nerds!
Ha! All of this applies to me!
Let’s see…
Well I was really, really nervous, but for weeks I had been wanting to find out the middle names of my teacher’s kids… Once I finally got up the courage to ask she told me and I walked away happily… then realized one of them has many different spellings and I forgot to ask which one she used! Oh well, maybe another time… Lol my friends all thought I was crazy!
You had so many stuffed animals growing up, because you wanted to name them!
I really have a secret stash of lists hidden away from my family. My new lists are on my computer though. Very interesting threat!
You only watch Supernanny and similar shows so you know what the kids names are (I always do that)
You go onto parenting boards just to find out what those peoples kids are named…and get frustrated and more curious when they did not put it in their signature and constantly refer to their kid as ds or dd instead of by their name. Two weeks later a person whose kids name you badly wanted to know mentions that her daughters name is [name]Madison[/name] and you groan and think “Oh great, now THAT’s the name I wanted to know for two weeks.”
You ask random strangers what their baby/kid is named. (I’m always tempted but don’t dare to)
You play the Sims only so you can name them. (I write fiction as well and always throw as many characters as possible in a story so I can name them.)
Two weeks or so ago I watched some kind of new medical show online with a friend. There was an English doctor who kept suggesting weird Irish names to a woman who was just about to adopt a baby. My friend thought that I was super weird when I corrected the character on the meaning of a name… mostly because she thought that it wasn’t an actual name but just something they made up.
Oh and it drives me NUTS when I don’t know how a fictional character spells their name. For several [name]Season[/name]'s I’ve been wondering if the little girl in Medium was spelt [name]Bridget[/name] or [name]Bridgette[/name]- and it’s not even a real person! I am that nuts!
Or [name]Brigitte[/name] or [name]Brigid[/name]!
