I really love names and I think so many people on this site have an amazing talent for creating beautiful names. I’m also naturally curious so I love to hear new combinations!
Mine at the moment are:
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] & [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m] _____ [name_m]Welch[/name_m]: unsure on possible other middle name (possibly could be [name_m]Charles[/name_m], after DH’s late grandfather). This is a new one on our list, but is likely what we would use. The name is fully related to my husband…I just put it together lol he really likes [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_m]Welch[/name_m] is after one of his favorite singers.
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]: not a new combo, but our longtime favorite. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] was the first name that we both adored. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is a favorite mn of mine. I love the sound, love how it gives the combo an old-time Italian-American vibe (in my opinion), and it honors several people.
I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]October[/name_f] is my best girl combo. (And also the one that people like the most). Personally, I love the soft and familiar sound of [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and the unexpected twist of [name_f]October[/name_f]. [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] are pretty combo names (we can consider [name_m]Julio[/name_m] too) but it’s like autumn and winter months don’t count!. I also like the balance of common and rare. If I had a daughter named [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]October[/name_f], she would be [name_u]Tobie[/name_u] for me, I’m pretty sure, and I love it because I have a crush on [name_u]Toby[/name_u]/[name_u]Tobie[/name_u] on girls.
For boys, I’d say [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] for the same reasons as [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]October[/name_f]. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is familiar, short and known. I adore [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. [name_m]Sharp[/name_m] and strong. [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is unexpected and makes the combo more unique.
The ones that I really appreciate from my own list are:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], I love all the names, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a family name, the flow and the vibe I get from it are exactly what I’m going for
and
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] Nicanor [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], again, love all the names, Nicanor is a family name, the combo sounds interesting and worldy, reflects my heritage, has a book-connection and generally has a grounded, intelligent vibe
Runners Up would be [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] (taking [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] into another direction) & [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]
My favourite boys combo at the moment is [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is such a strong, traditional name, and I love the meaning. I’m also a big fan of nickname [name_m]Artie[/name_m]. And I think it goes so well with the softer, more unisex [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], especially as I prefer names with fewer repeated sounds.
For girls, I have a few favourites ([name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] is beautiful [name_f]Imo[/name_f], and I love [name_f]Liv[/name_f] [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] but couldn’t use it because I’m now going by [name_f]Livia[/name_f]). However, one combo I keep returning to is [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is not my favourite name, but I [name_f]DO[/name_f] really like it, and I think it’s a sweet, soft name that works well with the feistier [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
For girls, my best combo is different from the one other’s think it is. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]” is my best combo I think. I love the sweet and lovely sound of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] contrasted with the more playful nickname of [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is a name I have loved forever and is my favorite middle. However, most love my newest combo of [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] [name_f]Xochitl[/name_f].
For boys, best combo is [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] is a newer addition to my list. It is inspired by the artist like you think and [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is the shortening of an honor name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] love how different and fun this name is. It is a combo that a lot of people like.
I don’t know about “best” but I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f], [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] [name_f]Catharina[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f] Mélisande, [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Maddalena[/name_f], & [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] Émile the most right now.
I have two answers, really. I have my favourite names, [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. All the names in both combos hold a lot of meaning for me, and I absolutely love them. But I also have a variety of combos that just flow and fit perfectly, in my opinion, and even if the firsts aren’t at the top of my list, I’m really proud of the combos; they just work. [name_f]Hestia[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] Wildrose and [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] are just two examples (but there are others).
