[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]: Being bullied
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u] [name_u]Nyx[/name_u], though he isnāt afraid of much, is also scared of dying.

[name_f]My[/name_f] character [name_u]Harlan[/name_u] [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] is terrified of the concept of dark. She can see in the dark, but she doesnāt like the feeling that sheās alone, lost in a sea of shadows.
[name_f]My[/name_f] character Farron [name_u]Denver[/name_u], after finding out heās a sorcerer, is terrified of what that means for his future, considering he comes from a kingdom where magic is mostly not welcome.
[name_f]My[/name_f] most recent character, [name_f]Adeliza[/name_f], has a fear of dying because sheās seen so much death within her family. Sheās apart of a royal family and is scared of seeing more of her family or anyone dying since depression is a big thing within her family.

my character, rita, is terrified of her husband
Several of mine are terrified of their partners too.
[name_f]Selene[/name_f] Of The Darkness Dragons was nearly killed by her husband, [name_u]Meteor[/name_u], after she found out that he was dealing with magic in very dangerous ways.
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Lu[/name_u] [name_m]Hadyn[/name_m] is so afraid of her ex-boyfriend, [name_m]Spike[/name_m] [name_u]Madison[/name_u], that she wonāt dare leave him or report him to the cops (heās a notorious criminal who has escaped jail).
[name_f]Rosella[/name_f] Broganās first husband threatened her into marrying him when she was nineteen because her family got into some trouble with him and he thought she was pretty (she was). He was what she feared the most until he got tired of being married, took their baby son (who was only a few months old), and left her, never to be seen again. After that, her biggest fear was what kind of life her son might have.
Itās sad to have to put our characters through toxic relationships 
, but sometimes those are the most relatable for some readers. And all of the above do find happiness eventually. Wishing yours the best of luck.

I have a character, [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], whoās afraid of car accidents because her boyfriend died in one when they were 17.
I also have a character, [name_u]Jade[/name_u], who is afraid of having children because her older sister nearly died doing so.
[name_f]My[/name_f] character [name_u]Rose[/name_u] also lost her boyfriend (actually fiance) in a car crash. Now sheās terrified of losing people she cares about and struggles with chronic grief because of thatš¢.
I literally have a character like this. [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] lost her brother [name_u]Michael[/name_u] (Catherineās boyfriend) when she was 14, and after that she became ultra protective of her friends and hypersensitive to grief.

I have several characters (Natalya, [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], and Kaylee) who are all terrified of fire because their school burned down and they almost didnāt get out.
[name_f]Natalya[/name_f], [name_f]Veronika[/name_f], & [name_f]Inessa[/name_f] are all scared of their little sisters (Lena, [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f], & Viktoria) dying because they were very sickly and weak children. However, only Natalyaās fear is rational because [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is a weak child, while [name_f]Viktoria[/name_f] and especially [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] have overcome everything.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is scared of her younger sister [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] because she often gets violently angry.
[name_f]Melinda[/name_f] is afraid of hospitals, illness, and death because her mother almost died when she was 14.
[name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] is scared of her older sister [name_f]Callie[/name_f] for the same reasons that [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is scared of [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f].
And thereās a lot more I will post later.
I also have several characters that are terrified of fire, including one that might come as a shock to readers.
His name is [name_m]Dez[/name_m] and he is part Deyeonad (a race of people with elemental powers). He can conjure up fire at will and, having been raised on the streets by a magical lion (his [name_m]Guardian[/name_m], a magic animal assigned to guide and protect their human), that power was helpful for keeping warm and cooking food. However, he is only immune to the fire he wields and can be burned. On top of that, he lost both his parents to a fire in his village when he was a little kid. Heās been blamed for numerous fires since, even though heād never try to hurt any innocent person with his fire (he also didnāt start any of the aforementioned fires). Specifically, he fears out of control fires/people treating fire like a toy. Itās a strange and sad coincidence that something that has helped him survive is also what took everything away from him in the first place.

[name_f]Hailey[/name_f] & [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] are afraid of giving birth because their mother nearly died giving birth to their youngest sister [name_f]Amanda[/name_f].
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and her sisters [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabela[/name_f] have a fear of getting deported.
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] has a fear of rejection and loneliness. (This never manifests. She goes on to graduate university, make many friends, get a stable job, marry a wonderful man (Haileyās cousin!!), and have two wonderful children, [name_u]Chase[/name_u] and Charlotte.)
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] has a fear of her father because he did not want her when she was born. She is quite a few years (6.5) younger than her brother and her father saw her as an āaccident childā. She and her brother are very close today, and luckily for her, she has a powerful mother, and she always defends her daughter. Her father is beginning to come around, but it took 15 years.

The majority of my characters have a fear of rejection. A lot of them also fear loneliness. Some that fear both areā¦
[name_m]Bertram[/name_m] [name_m]Rainier[/name_m], who family fell apart after his little sister died in a tragic accident and whose brother blamed him for said accident.
[name_m]Weylin[/name_m] [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u], whose family very clearly favors his younger sisters.
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_m]Jayse[/name_m], who feels as though she isnāt good enough and who is terrified of confessing her feelings towards her crush, [name_u]Julian[/name_u], because she doesnāt want him to reject her.
[name_u]Troy[/name_u] [name_m]Sanford[/name_m], who was born to a criminal couple and is terrified that that will define his life.
[name_u]Lindsy[/name_u] [name_m]Grant[/name_m], who was an unwanted child who never got praise or attention.
[name_m]Prys[/name_m] [name_u]Beckham[/name_u], whose father left his mother when he was a baby and never looked back.
[name_u]Kimberly[/name_u] [name_u]Jordan[/name_u], who became used to a life of fame and doesnāt know who she is without it.
[name_m]Fiero[/name_m] (no last name), who has had high expectations placed on him since birth and doesnāt want to disappoint anyone.
[name_f]Rosalina[/name_f] (no last name), who is put down by her family constantly and is invisible to most other Equines.
Unfortunately, quite a few of mine are also scared of family members. They includeā¦
[name_f]Anahera[/name_f] (no last name) fears her mother, who has belittled and bullied her all her life.
[name_u]Kestrel[/name_u] [name_m]Derry[/name_m] fears his father, who tried to kill him when he was five years old.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] [name_u]Perry[/name_u] fear their mother, who smothered [name_f]Violet[/name_f] with expectations to be the āperfect ladyā and who flat out said she wished [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] was never born.
[name_f]Princess[/name_f] Jellyfish of The Saltwater Dragons fears her mother (almost everyone fears her mother), who is a violent and blood thirsty queen with a loud voice and loves seeing people suffer.
On a lighter note, my character [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is afraid of squirrels (among other things), for no particular reason.

[name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_m]Anders[/name_m] is scared of. . . um, pretty much everything. His greatest fear involves his fire powers and hurting people with them. Heās scared that if he ever lets himself grow close to someone again, heāll accidentally light something on fire and hurt/k*ll them like he (thinks he) did to his family. He also has a lot of unresolved feelings of grief and anger over that because heās so guilty that doesnāt think heās allowed to grieve. I um. . . put this one through the wringer, didnāt I? Heās also scared of his strict grandmother (always was, even when he was a kid), heights, and anything with button eyes.
