valkyrie - this beat out artemis, calista and pandora to get this spot. i am in love with her lately (as well as with valkyrja). it’s cool and unusual, and ALSO has a mythological reference - what’s not to love about this name?
horatio - love caspian, lysander and nikolai too. horatio reminds me of bookstores, antique shops, pocket watches and brown leather. the -o ending adds on to the vibe.
[name_f]Artemis[/name_f] - I have a soft spot for names ending in -is, and [name_f]Artemis[/name_f] just sounds so lively. It’s uncommon, but feels familiar at the same time.
[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] - despite the not-so-great meaning, I’m utterly in love with it. It looks so soft and elegant, and saying it out loud makes me happy. And I love the nickname [name_m]Tolly[/name_m] for it
B: Lysander-…blame pokemon. (Yes. I know he’s the big bad. NOBODY TOLD THE WRITERS TO GIVE HIM THE BEST NAME.)
G: Valkyrie-it’s a little out there, but that’s the point. You can even shorten it to [name_m]Val[/name_m] or [name_m]Kyrie[/name_m] (whichever way you pronounce it). Come on. It literally just hits.
[name_f]Thessaly[/name_f] → full of warmth and sparkle, strength and sass, and it feels cheerful, flowing and cool. There’s something of Tess/a, [name_f]Cressida[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Romilly[/name_f], [name_f]Dessie[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] about it, but it’s also totally its own name with a distinctive and interesting sound. I really like the nickname Thess too also, one of my characters is called this, so tbh, this had to be my choice
[name_m]Horatio[/name_m] → I could have easily picked some of the others, but I so rarely see it appreciated on here, so I had to pick it It’s clunky cool, kind of cuddly, a bit posh, but its got energy and gentle strength. I like the [name_m]Hamlet[/name_m] connection too!
I could have picked [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] and [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] or [name_f]Callista[/name_f], [name_f]Rowenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] on another day
[name_f]Artemis[/name_f] - i’m a huge fan of greek names in general but artemis has been pretty high for a while
[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] - this is a newer one on my list but i love it just as much
You’ve got a cool style! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Valkyrie[/name_f] (love the sound) and [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] (I like how gentle he sounds)
[name_f]Pandora[/name_f] & [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]: I have always loved [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], in my eyes it’s so light and full of wisdom (I don’t know why). [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] is on my own longer list. I know that she is a mythological character, but my mind travels to the fictional planet called [name_f]Pandora[/name_f]. I can’t help it. I also like the meaning: all-gifted.
However, I want to choose again without choosing my favorites.
[name_f]Thessaly[/name_f] - fun and adventurous! A dancing fiery girl comes to mind.
[name_m]Zephram[/name_m] - the name is kind of… heavy, but I like it. Like an old wise man who looks at you and you have a feeling he knows all your secrets.
Such a magical list! It’s incredibly hard to choose, I love so many! I’m picking for [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], but I really adore [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] and [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] too!
[name_f]Calista[/name_f]
This really has a wonderfully melodic sound to it. Rolls off the tongue very naturally. It reminds me of sunny days and pink flowers.
[name_m]Jesper[/name_m]
I’ve really had a fondness toward this name ever since I watched [name_m]Klaus[/name_m]. It just has an alluring, interesting sound to it, and I love the potential for Jes/Jesy (any spelling.)
[name_f]Calista[/name_f] is a strong and lovely choice.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] has a romantic and handsome sound to it, it’s a name that has been growing on me lately.
