We’re pretty sure we’re going to name our new daughter [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f]), but I just want to see some other ideas one more time before making the decision 100%.
What are your favorite [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] combos? Criteria:
– Must have 2+ syllables
– Can’t begin or end with an R
– Can’t begin with a W
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is pretty! (Without meaning to sound nosy, I’d suggest staying away from C’s as well so her initials don’t 100% match her sister’s. Me and my older sister have matching initials and I personally can’t stand it. Though on the other hand if you went with a C all your kids would have a C initial… Anyway…)
evlinrose, I very nearly put down “can’t begin with a C” for that very reason – I agree that it’s enough that both girls have E names; they don’t need EC names! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a guilty pleasure of mine, though!
I really like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is gorgeous, too, but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] doesn’t flow well with our last name, unfortunately.
And of course we do love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
Should still have 3+ months to mull it over, fingers crossed!
I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is beautiful!
I also love the previous suggestions of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (which has actually been on my long list for a while now).
I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f], it’s a lovely name.
For the longest time I had [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] on my shortlist.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you find the perfect middle for the lovely [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and congrats on the new baby
If my husband hadn’t vetoed [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] for being to similar to our niece [name_f]Elena[/name_f]'s name, I would have happily chosen [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Theophania[/name_f] as our girl combo for this baby. As it turned out, we’re having a boy so it wouldn’t have mattered, but I’m still a little annoyed with DH about it…
Anyway, some other [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] combos you might like:
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] (Would that flow better with the last name?)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
Omgoodness, [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is gorgeous! I have [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ([name_f]Lila[/name_f]) [name_f]Grace[/name_f] on my own list, so I wanted to suggest [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], but it doesn’t fit the specifications you gave. A few ideas:
Thanks again for all the lovely suggestions; you’ve given me some great middle names to mull over and “try out” before deciding. And glad to hear positive feedback on [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]!
