[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there!! I was stalking lists of names, the “names searched right now” feed at the top, and the forums, and I came upon the name [name_m]Tolliver[/name_m]. I think it’s super adorable!
When I hear it, I think of a boy, maybe a bit feminine or not ultimately a ‘manly man’. Perhaps he has glasses, some quite messy red hair, and is tall (maybe I think of height because of the beginning being ‘toll’, which when I read the name I pronounce it kind of like ‘tall-iver’, but I digress) and lanky; and, to top it all off, he might have a ‘posh’ British accent, but then he’s actually clumsy with both his body and his words. It also sounds like it belongs in [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], so maybe that’s where the accent comes from. Anyways, enough blabbering. What names remind you of [name_m]Tolliver[/name_m]? What are your favorite kind of ‘quirky/cute’ names, for both boys and girls, and even surnames? List as many as you possibly can, please! (bonus points if you add on what some of the names bring to mind when you think of them; this goes for any books, shows, movies, songs, that it reminds you of!)
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t hold back! Unleash your strangest, cutest, quirkiest, spunkiest names! [name_m]Even[/name_m] the ones you’d never dare name a living, breathing, tiny human! (Except, of course, in those daydreams where nobody even bats an eye when you name your firstborn [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Khaleesi[/name_f]. I think I’m the only one who’s ever thought of naming their kid [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Khaleesi[/name_f]. Oh well; a girl can dream, especially when she’s not planning on having any kids. I probably shouldn’t be trusted with one, anyways. )
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] has been my top quirky name for a boy. [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] for a girl.
[name_m]Quilliam[/name_m]: Very unusual alternative to [name_m]William[/name_m] I stumbled across. I can’t see myself naming a baby this, though.
[name_m]Patterson[/name_m]: I love this one (also an honor name), and I can actually see myself using it!
I don’t have that many out-there favorites, although my names change constantly! I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Tolliver[/name_m], by the way!
I like Quenilda for a girl. It was rare when it was in use during the Middle Ages, and it’s virtually extinct today. I think it’d be a great name for a quirky, sword-wielding lady in a fantasy series.
[name_f]Esclarmonde[/name_f]… it’s sooo long but it’s so regal!
Not sure how this works haven’t done this before. Forgive me if I am in wrong group. I am looking for input on a baby boy name. THis wil be my 5th boy. I have a [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Raymond/name_m, and [name_u]August/name_u. I am torn… a few considerations have been
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_m]DAvid[/name_m]
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
Any suggestions or opinions are welcome
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] @jenk,
A good place for you to post this would be to create your own thread on either the [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names forum or Boy Names forum. This particular thread isn’t suited to your question. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
