Hello! I’m looking for names beginning with K. There is someone I’d like to honour whose name begins with K but I’ve found hardly any K names that I like. I like [name_u]Kit[/name_u] for a boy, and I’ve considered [name_f]Kinley[/name_f] / [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f] for a girl but I’d really like to find some more.
Throw all your suggestions at me! Particularly ones that are less common or even unusual. I particularly like vintage names so if you can think of any K names that sound a bit vintage or have a nature vibe that would be great. But really I’m open to anything. Thanks in advance!
I don’t have a lot on my list, but I like [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_m]Klaus[/name_m], [name_u]Kieran[/name_u], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] and [name_f]Katrin[/name_f]!
Klaus is awesome! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it fits in with [name_u]Douglas[/name_u], [name_m]Ralph[/name_m] and [name_m]Clyde[/name_m]? [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] is pretty. I don’t mind [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] (and [name_m]Kier[/name_m]) but I know quite a few people my own age with those names so I’m unsure about them for my lists.
I actually like a handful of K names-- [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f], [name_f]Katara[/name_f], [name_f]Katia[/name_f], [name_f]Katea[/name_f], Kataria, [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Kamaria[/name_f], Kimímela (!!), [name_u]Koda[/name_u], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], Kekoa!
You might like [name_m]Kenelm[/name_m] for a boy? Old [name_f]English[/name_f] and super handsome I also love [name_m]Kester[/name_m] and [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] for a boy – both British variants of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m].
For a girl, maybe [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u], [name_f]Kezia[/name_f], [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_f]Kasia[/name_f] (KAH-sha), Kita, [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u], [name_f]Kinneret[/name_f] or [name_f]Keshet[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Keturah[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], [name_f]Katara[/name_f], [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u], [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_u]Kora[/name_u] (oddly for [name_u]Kora[/name_u], I much prefer it with the K instead of the C. IDK why, it just looks nicer and spunkier to me) for girls. For boys my favs are [name_u]Kai[/name_u], Koh, [name_u]Koa[/name_u], [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u], [name_m]Keanu[/name_m], [name_u]Kyrie[/name_u], [name_u]Karo[/name_u], [name_m]Kazimir[/name_m] and [name_m]Kellan[/name_m].
Yay so many awesome suggestions! There are loads here that I’d never heard before which is amazing, thank you. I’ll comment on a few that stand out, but thank you everyone, I really appreciate it.
@hellobanjo [name_m]Kenan[/name_m] and [name_m]Kylen[/name_m] are knew to me, and when I visited the NB page for [name_m]Kylen[/name_m] I also discovered [name_m]Kavanaugh[/name_m] which is awesome. I’m glad to see you also like [name_m]Klaus[/name_m]! He seems to be getting a lot of love on this post.
@lumosmaxima You always have great, unique suggestions! Kittiwake is really sweet and unusual, and I love that its a nature/fauna name too. Would Kimímela be pronounced kim-ee-may-lah?
@katinka *cue me falling in love with [name_m]Kester[/name_m]* Is having both [name_m]Kester[/name_m] and [name_f]Hester[/name_f] on my list too much? Do I care? I like [name_m]Kenelm[/name_m] and Kita too! Thank you!
@leafygreens [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u]!! Iconic. Would you pronounce [name_u]Kora[/name_u] the same as [name_f]Cora[/name_f] or more like [name_f]Korra[/name_f]? I could potentially get on board with [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u], [name_u]Kyrie[/name_u] and [name_m]Kellan[/name_m]…
That’s been my struggle! I like a lot of C- starting names like [name_m]Clyde[/name_m], [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], [name_f]Constance[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] but they just don’t have the same vibe when you spell them with a K. I wonder if its a language thing, was the letter K not really used in the past ergo a lack of old-sounding K names perhaps? (I have no idea if that’s true I’m just pondering!) [name_f]Kinnia[/name_f] is really pretty!
