I absolutely love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and have for years. It reminds me of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] (a lot of people seem to have a bad association with the name because of The [name_m]Lion[/name_m], the Witch and the Wardrobe, but the character more than redeems himself!) and I love the nicknames [name_m]Ed[/name_m], [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] all the way! I completely agree with everything @jem has already said. [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]'s so handsome, smart and sophisticated, but a whimsical aspect thanks to [name_f]Narnia[/name_f]. It has a historical/vintage sort of vibe to it too, so basically a lot of what I love in one name :).
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] is the name of six different males in my family…I love it, but I’ve seen it so much. So, I chose [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] as it is also a great name. I also love the name [name_m]Edison[/name_m] and so does my fiancee, but it doesn’t flow well with our last name (which also ends with son).
I love all of them but my favourites would be [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] or [name_m]Edgar[/name_m], then [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and last [name_m]Edwin[/name_m].
These are all great names! ![]()
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] seems a tad over-used, but it leads to [name_m]Ward[/name_m] which I love.
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m] is cool and uncommon yet not weird. I love [name_u]Win[/name_u] as a nickname. The name has a Dickensian flavor.
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is gorgeous, truly a good-looking name. My favorite.
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m] I do love though it is as ugly as it is handsome. I like the Latino [name_m]Edgardo[/name_m] too.
And I am keen on [name_m]Edison[/name_m].
The only thing that would have kept me from these names would have been my dislike for [name_m]Ed[/name_m] and particularly for [name_m]Eddie[/name_m].
Good luck!

I think I’m more familiar with [name_m]Edward[/name_m] so that’s probably why I voted for it although it was a tough call between that and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] xx
I think [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is a great name that fits every age. Adorable when young and handsome when grown.
Definitely [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] for [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] Pevensie! Also [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] Rostand, the [name_m]French[/name_m] playwright. [name_m]Edward[/name_m] as a second choice, because of [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Ferrars[/name_m] from Sense and Sensibility. I almost like the association for [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Ferrars[/name_m] better than [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] Pevensie and [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] Rostand combined, but I definitely prefer [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] as a name to [name_m]Edward[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. I think it’s a great name. I also really like [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] as of late (might have to do with just reading [name_m]King[/name_m] Lear). Never been a fan of either [name_m]Edward[/name_m] or [name_m]Edwin[/name_m]. But [name_m]Edison[/name_m] is pretty cool too.
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] has a lot of personal significance to me so it’s hard to vote against it. But I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] too.
I just think of Mr. [name_m]Ed[/name_m] (the talking horse), and an old sign that used to be painted on the side of a local florist’s bldg. '[name_m]Ed[/name_m]‘s Dainty Corsages’ in massive lettering. It always made me smile (but then new owners painted over it).
I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], but [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] is a close second
I’m not a fan of [name_m]Ed[/name_m]- names, but [name_m]Eamon[/name_m]/[name_m]Eamonn[/name_m] is the Gaelic version of [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and I love that!
Wow, there seem to be so many positive associations for [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], most of them literary! I was not expecting [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] to be so popular. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love [name_m]Edward[/name_m], but its popularity and the fact that [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is a family name for me means that I have to choose [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] would be the nickname either way.
