[name]Hi[/name] guys, I really appreciate all of the help I got in my last thread, Hopefully you guys can help me out again!
So my fiance and I have deleted a few names off our list and added some. However, we would still like to add more.
I have found a few new names that I would like to get your opinions on! It would really help if you could tell me your impression of each one. Be as honest as you like!
[name]Dimitri[/name]- Reminds me of the Project Runway guy, so I think of someone foreign, dark, but kind.
[name]Huxley[/name] (nickname Hux)- Really like this, reminds me a bit of The Cosby Show (Huxtables), but I think it is cool and different. Might add it to my list
[name]Sterling[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this, but I’m always afraid it sounds a bit too cowboyish.
[name]Angelo[/name]- Not a fan. No good reason why though.
[name]Apollo[/name]- Eh… I want to like this but the sound isn’t appealing. Probably because I despise the name [name]Paul[/name].
[name]Dmitri[/name]: I know one, nickname pn. dee-muh (not sure how he spells it). [name]One[/name] of those elusive “soft but still masculine” names.
[name]Huxley[/name]: huh. I’m familiar, but I can never form a solid opinion. It’s hard for me to picture it worn.
[name]Sterling[/name]: I have an immediate negative visceral reaction to [name]Sterling[/name]. It at once makes me picture an old stuffy man, hard liquor and strip clubs.
[name]Angelo[/name]: this is one of those “if its in your background, sure… otherwise, meh” names. Not really nicknamable unless you’re brave enough to use [name]Angie[/name]. Very feminine and sort of dated sounding.
[name]Apollo[/name]: I prefer the spelling [name]Apolo[/name], if only to make it feel less heavy and more wearable. Otherwise this is one of my [name]FAVORITE[/name] guilty pleasure names, and it’s on our middle name list.
I love [name]Dmitri[/name]! I’d never use it (we don’t have the heritage to pull it off AT ALL). I really do like it with the nickname [name]Dima[/name].
[name]Huxley[/name] looks too made up for me. I also don’t like the nickname Hux. However, I do like [name]Huckleberry[/name], [name]Huck[/name].
I’m not a fan of [name]Sterling[/name] but I do kind of like [name]Steele[/name].
[name]Angelo[/name] is nice.
I’m not a fan of [name]Apollo[/name]. It only reminds me of the spaceships. And [name]Apolo[/name] [name]Anton[/name] Ohno.
[name]Dimitri[/name]: I really like this name, but I worry that it’s too obviously Russian and people will wonder if it’s part of our heritage or something.
[name]Huxley[/name]: Nms. But my first thought is, of course, [name]Aldous[/name] [name]Huxley[/name].
[name]Sterling[/name]: Preppy and uppercrust.
[name]Angelo[/name]: Also, NMS. I get a quite an Italian feeling from this name.
[name]Apollo[/name]: I’m not sure how it would be recieved [name]IRL[/name], but I love it in theory.
