I have my little list on Nameberry and see so many others that I look at for similar naming styles etc. I was wondering what’s on your list? [name]Do[/name] you put names on the list that you wouldn’t ask for forum opinions on? And what do you think of mine?

I have quite a few lists actually. It would be way too long of a post to list all the names on all the lists.

[name]Rafe[/name], I had never heard of this variation before. Interesting name.

[name]Callan[/name], I like the name but to me it looks better spelled with a K, as in [name]Kallan[/name]. It strikes me as a unisex name.

[name]Seraphina[/name], is a name I quite like that I had discovered here on nameberry. I like it mostly for it’s meaning, which I think is lovely.

[name]Finn[/name], I like. Sounds more like a nickname or part of a name.

[name]Luca[/name], [name]Lucas[/name] … I like names that have the “lu” sound, so this gets my thumbs up.

[name]Ellis[/name] … Sounds more like a boys name to me.

[name]Holly[/name] … I used to love this name, but I think it’s been over-used.

[name]Rosen[/name] … Makes me think of “rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard”, i.e. from the song Devil Went Down to [name]Georgia[/name].

[name]Romy[/name] … Interesting, I hadn’t heard this one before.

[name]Seren[/name] … Makes me think of [name]Serenade[/name], I like.

[name]Jago[/name] … I hadn’t heard this one before either. It’s an interesting take on [name]Jacob[/name].

[name]Cato[/name] … I like this one. Good name.

[name]Eden[/name] … No, dislike. Makes me think of strippers and the slutty character [name]Eden[/name] on Nip/[name]Tuck[/name]. I don’t think it’s a good idea to name your daughter a name that means place of pleasure.

[name]Cora[/name] … I think is a classic and cute name.

[name]Carys[/name] … I like this name, not sure if I’d use it as a first, but it’s still a fine name.

[name]Jacob[/name] … classic name.

[name]Caleb[/name] … I don’t like how popular this is OR the meaning of the name. Meaning, origin and history of the name Caleb - Behind the Name

[name]Archer[/name] … I like it, it’s a nice modern way to get to the nickname [name]Archie[/name] [if you want to use that].

[name]Erin[/name] … I picture a Irish girl with this name.

[name]Imogen[/name] … lovely name.

[name]Ellis[/name]- I have only ever heard it for a boy. I like it best for a boy. I think [name]Alice[/name] or [name]Elise[/name] are cute alternatives for a girl.
[name]Holly[/name]- I like this name. It sounds friendly and fresh to me.
[name]Rosen[/name]- Unsure of pronunciation. [name]Rose[/name]-n or [name]Roz[/name]-en?
[name]Romy[/name]- I think it’s cute and spunky!

[name]Caleb[/name]- It’s nice but I don’t understand why it’s so popular and I don’t like the meaning.
[name]Archer[/name]- I really like it.
[name]Erin[/name]- Nice but I find it a bit boring
[name]Imogen[/name]- I don’t like this name

[name]Carys[/name] (girl) - I prefer [name]Cerys[/name], but it’s lovely!
[name]Eden[/name] (girl) - lovely! I’ve never met one but I want to!
[name]Cora[/name] (girl) - pretty, old-fashioned but simple and different, like a rare type of [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Erin[/name] (girl) - cute, but not a favorite
[name]Seraphina[/name] (girl) - I like the sound and idea of this, but I think it’s a bit too complicated for a real first name
[name]Imogen[/name] (girl) - I’ve never been fond of this one, not sure why, just not my style
[name]Rosen[/name] (girl) - it’s pretty and I like the idea, but it’s all surname in my head
[name]Romy[/name] (girl) - I like the idea but not on its own. [name]Andromeda[/name]?
[name]Seren[/name] (girl) - reminds me of Saran wrap
[name]Ellis[/name] (girl) - this feels masculine to me.

[name]Caleb[/name] (boy) - love this, less popular form of [name]Jacob[/name]
[name]Jacob[/name] (boy) - so dang popular but it’s a nice name
[name]Lucas[/name] (boy) - I like this, but not so fond of [name]Luca[/name]
[name]Rafe[/name] (boy) - it’s a nice sound, but I heard strafe
[name]Callan[/name] (boy) - okay, I don’t have a strong opinion about it, jsut sorta meh for me
[name]Jago[/name] (boy) - is this pronounced like [name]Iago[/name]? not fond
[name]Cato[/name] (boy) - I like this as a mn, not fond as a first
[name]Archer[/name] (boy) - okay, seems like it lacks substance to me. Like it has no real history or meaning as a name. It’s a nice sound though
