I thought it’d be fun if everyone posted their newest name crushes! I’m just genuinely curious. And maybe you can think of middles for each other!
I’ll start.
Barrett, for a girl
I only know one Barrett, but I like her a lot. So I’ve got no negative associations with the name. I like how it sounds, and how it rolls off your tongue. And it means “bear strength”, so it’s a powerful name.
James, for a boy
I know this is such a classic name, but I don’t think it’s lost its sparkle. There are so many ways to wear it, and I personally think James might come back in style, next to Luca and Jack.
And what’s your opinion on my latest sibset: Barrett for the girl and Beckett for the boy?
Girls: I have a HUGE crush on Nairne right now but don’t think my husband is ever going to go for it (and we’ve already agreed to let each have our first pick for a girl name so I guess if we have 3 girls that could be in the running…but #1 isn’t even imminent yet so we’ll worry about that when the time comes.)

Boys: I have been loving Augustus but detest “Auggie” and “Gus” so it’ll probably never happen…
I actually know a [name_u]Nairne[/name_u] and I think she wears it super well! I don’t want to expose her middle name but its in one of these

[name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] has been my top boy name for a long time but I’m recently really crushing on it for girl, nn [name_u]Pip[/name_u] or [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]
I’ve also recently discovered [name_m]Faramond[/name_m] for a boy (which I think goes beautifully with [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] because their meanings both relate to journeys ) but I can’t think of a nickname I love - suggestions welcome!!
So… I started reading the book [name_m]Demian[/name_m] and completely fell in love with the names (technically last names, but who cares ) of the two main characters. Although [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] is the last name of a boy in the book, I think it would work beautifully on a girl. It gives me the same kind of vibe as the name [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] does. It has such a classic yet preppy feel to it [name_m]Demian[/name_m] also has a nice classic ring to it. It seems more polished than the name [name_m]Damien[/name_m] or [name_m]Damian[/name_m], and it’s a very strong, solid boy name.
Barrett is so cool!! I like the idea of Barrett nn Betty I think I’d use the middles Barrett Felicity or Barrett Delilah
I’ve been thinking about Nairne too!! What a gorgeous name with a fabulous meaning!! Avonlea, Issoria and Nolwenn are wonderful too.
Nairne Estella, Nairne Astoria, Nolwenn Phoebe and Issoria Afton came to mind. Oh, and Ivan Augustus
Loving Saffron too after someone reminded me of it as a middle name for Amelie! Saffron Lysette/Lisette or Saffron Simone came to mind
Yesss, Perergrine for a girl!! And Pergerine and Faramond as siblings
As nicknames for Faramond, I’m thinking:
Ford
Rami
Ronnie
Fran
Or, maybe something like Faramond Kester or Faramond Keats nn Frankie
Both of these are fabulous!! Lillian Suvi and Lillian Beatrix ‘Libby’ are cute. And Julian Cosmo
Sinclair and Demian are so cool! I prefer Demian to its similar counterparts. I think Demian Luca or Demian Reid or Sinclair Matilda or Sinclair Juliet would be nice.
Oooh Arda is gorgeous! Fabulous sound and reminds me a bit of the similar Ara. Arda Magnus, Arda Leon and Arda Peregrine came to mind
Also, what a cool meaning!! I’ve met a Sahar and a Seher (the Turkish variant) and both wore it well
I’ve been crushing on [name_f]Marnie[/name_f] for a girl! Probably too close to my name for me to use, but she’s a sweet little gem with a lovely meaning. For boys’ name I’m feeling [name_u]Freddy[/name_u] at the moment - it’s one if those names that I’ve always been aware of but it’s suddenly hit me ‘oh that’s really cute’.
[name_f]Flavia[/name_f] - Only know of gymnast [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] Saraiva with this name and never met one irl (works well bilingually and is growing on me especially since I feel like it could work with my current favs [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] which is a rarity to find names that work well bilingually whilst also considering my 2 favs)
my current crushes are [name_u]Walter[/name_u] or [name_m]Zebedee[/name_m] for a boy.
And for girls [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_u]Garnet[/name_u], [name_f]Galena[/name_f], and [name_f]Myrtle[/name_f]. Also [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f] and Harriet/ [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f].
