Your opinions on these names?

I’d love to hear your opinions on these names:

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u])
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Eve[/name_f])
[name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Holly[/name_f])

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think they would work together as a sibset? Is [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] too different since it’s a word name?

:kissing_closed_eyes:

[name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] doesn’t work for me. I think it’s because [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] does contrast with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] quite a bit. It’s a word name, which I don’t particularly mind, it’s a last name, which I also don’t particular mind, but overall I just think that there are far better word names and / or last names as first names that could be used. This is one that will be heard in common phrases and everyday conversation all the time. I just can’t quite get past how cheeky “happy holidays [name_f]Holliday[/name_f]!” sounds.

Have you considered using just [name_f]Holly[/name_f]? or maybe [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]? Though I think to give a girl the name [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] while her sisters have distinctively girly names will sound strange (it would be great for a boy in this sibset!). I do think maybe [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f] might work.

Honestly I think I’d go for something that work with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] in style and femininity.

I think [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] go together well enough. For me, they call up imagery of snowy capped mountains, a chill in the air, the warmth of a scarf around your neck in the middle of winter. Evangline isn’t too far off. I associate all three with [name_f]Canada[/name_f]. lol As silly as that sounds.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - I love all of these names separately, but they give very different images. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is elegant and regal, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is spunky and Victorian, and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is cheerful and fresh-faced. I think I’d like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] a little better. I’m also not a huge fan of nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u].
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] are both whimsically pretty, but are somewhat brought down by the bluntness and plainness of [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] would be lovelier.
[name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - These names seems like such a mishmash of styles. [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] is wintery and classic, [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] is stiff, formal and antique, while [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]'s Victorian feel. [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]/[name_f]Neve[/name_f] would be gorgeous.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - I love both [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is okay with me, but somehow I felt that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] was unnecessary there. I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] needs different middles while [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] combo is gorgeous on its own. Maybe it’s just me, though. The flow is great. I really dislike [name_u]Rory[/name_u], sorry!
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - This is not something I’d personally use, but sounds lovely to me. Makes me picture a sweet good girl. I like how tender this combo feels.
[name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - I’m not a fan of either of these names, but this combo is sweet. Feels very 50s. I’ve always loved the nickname [name_f]Holly[/name_f].

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] go well together.

I like both of these
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u])
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Eve[/name_f])

tho I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] would flow better than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

[name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] I don’t like at all. Sorry

aym- I agree, I wasn’t sure about [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] and I’m surprised that I like it because it isn’t really my style. I don’t usually like names that are used in daily conversation- the names [name_f]Afternoon[/name_f] and [name_u]Story[/name_u] are totally nms but I think the extra ‘L’ makes [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] feel more like a name than just a word… I do like [name_f]Holly[/name_f] but it’s a little short

oiseau- I get what you mean, [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is associated with the northern lights which are most frequent around autumn/winter, [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] makes me think of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and then [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] is obviously ‘happy holidays…’ [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is probably my favourite season tbh!

bibliophile- I’m surprised that you see [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as blunt and plain, I guess because it’s quite common these days as a middle name especially? I’ve always loved it as a middle even if it is a bit common. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] is pretty though. I also like [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]

polina- I see what you mean about [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] having a 50s feel, that’s partly why I like it. I used to really dislike the name [name_f]Barbara[/name_f], it made me think of a frumpy middle-aged housewife, but the Hungarian model [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] Palvin has given new life to the name and the nn [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] is so cute. I wouldn’t use it as a first name but I think it works as a middle here. Maybe [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] could come back in ten years or so…

emsky- [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is pretty but I don’t love it as much as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] tbh!

Thank you guys! :kissing_heart:

I didn’t mean it was a bad thing when I said it feels 50s! That’s what I like about the combo.
