Bravyn for a girl— like haven more for a girl

Name’s we’ve thrown around.

Girls:
Elliette ([name]Elliott[/name]) elle names too pop
Kyelle ([name]Kyle[/name]) dated
[name]Skylar[/name] dated
[name]Ann[/name]-[name]Marie[/name] cute
Esmee cute
Leahnna dont like strange spelling

[name]Eliana[/name] cute even though its part of the elle craze

Boys: all the below names are very nice
[name]Jonathan[/name]
[name]Matteo[/name]
[name]Shawn[/name]
[name]Russell[/name]
[name]Tanner[/name]
[name]Chance[/name]
[name]Connor[/name]
[name]Landon[/name]

by far [name]BRONSON[/name] and BRAVEN are my favorite names on your list. [name]Esme[/name] [name]Rain[/name] is super cute for a girl.

[quote=“merylp”]Girls:
[name]Aubriana[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name]-- This is the first name we thought up. He is in absolute love with [name]Aubriana[/name].
[name]Ryanne[/name] [name]Juliana[/name]–We were thinking of spelling it [name]Ryan[/name], buy my hubby has a cousin with the name [name]Ryan[/name]. So we thought spelling it [name]Ryanne[/name], would make it a bit more feminine.
[name]Peyton[/name] Emerence–This one is one we agree on. We don’t absoultely love it but he likes [name]Peyton[/name] and I like Emerence.

Boys:
[name]Kyle[/name] [name]Crispin[/name]—My hubby is in love with this name also and is dead set on it being our first son’s name. I’m not totally in love with [name]Crispin[/name] and I would much more prefer [name]Kyler[/name].
[name]Mason[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]—At first we wanted [name]Shawn[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] but it seemed too…popular?
[name]Ayden[/name] [name]Everette[/name]–I agree. I love the [name]Aiden[/name] spelling. He doesn’t like [name]Aiden[/name] or [name]Aaden[/name].

Names I like that he doesn’t.

Girls:
Emiliyn [name]Avery[/name] (Pronounced [name]Emmy[/name]-Lein)—I like the [name]Emmie[/name] for a nn. I tried other names and he didn’t like them. [name]Emmalyn[/name], Emmylin, [name]Emmalee[/name], Emmalys, [name]Emma[/name], [name]Emmie[/name]
[name]Houston[/name] Remily—I adore [name]Houston[/name], he rather have [name]Dallas[/name].

Boys:
[name]Bronson[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]—I’ve been in love with this name since the baseball Pitcher [name]Bronson[/name] [name]Arroyo[/name] was on the [name]Red[/name] Sox team. I have never heard it before and over the summer I met a little boy with this name and it stuck to me. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] this name. Him, not so much.
[name]Kyler[/name] [name]Ryland[/name]—I love the name [name]Kyler[/name] he rather have [name]Kyle[/name]. But [name]Kyle[/name] sounds too boring for me.

Name he likes that I’m not completely sold on.
Braven for a boy—I’m still not sold on this. It does work for a middle name but he told me he came to this name while watching an [name]Atlanta[/name] Braves game. His favorite team. Ehhh
Bravyn for a girl—I rather have [name]Bradyn[/name]

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Esme[/name] [name]Rain[/name]. Gorgeous.

Does race have a factor? I’m Puertorican and my hubby is Dutch Indonesian/White. We don’t want a name that doesn’t “fit” if that makes sense.

From your list, I really love [name]Esme[/name], [name]Juliana[/name], [name]Eliana[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] (spelled [name]Emmeline[/name]), [name]Everett[/name] (spelled [name]Everett[/name]), and [name]Matteo[/name].

I’m personally not a fan of yooneek spellings, because in addition to making names look misspelled, they’ll guarantee your child a lifetime of having to correct people’s spelling.

I like [name]Esme[/name] & [name]Matteo[/name]

I believe that all names should be spelt the traditional way because it really spoils the look and flow of the name.

My comments:

[name]Aubriana[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name] [name]Aubriana[/name] is feminine but I would prefer [name]Breanna[/name], [name]MacKenzie[/name] has been a totally overused trendy name so I would give this name a big No unless it is a family name.

[name]Ryanne[/name] [name]Juliana[/name] I would love [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Rhian[/name] or [name]Rhian[/name] [name]Juliana[/name]; [name]Ryanne[/name] looks all wrong

[name]Peyton[/name] Emerence [name]Peyton[/name] sounds all boy to me and Emerence sounds like [name]Temperance[/name].

Suggest [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Paige[/name]

[name]Kyle[/name] [name]Crispin[/name] I dislike initials as names it defeats the purpose of having a name. Use the first name not second as the known by name. Prefer [name]Christian[/name] or [name]Christopher[/name]

[name]Mason[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] A good combo and [name]Mason[/name] doesn’t need a nn if you reverse to [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Mason[/name] then [name]Alex[/name] is a gorgeous nn.

[name]Ayden[/name] [name]Everette[/name] Please this spelling spoils the combo completely. I love [name]Aidan[/name] but it is very over exposed. [name]Everett[/name] is the best spelling and [name]Rhett[/name] is a good nn.

[name]Everett[/name] [name]Aidan[/name] would be the best option but [name]Aidan[/name] [name]Everett[/name] has good flow.

Girls:
Emiliyn [name]Avery[/name] Please change to [name]Emmeline[/name] which is beautiful, [name]Avery[/name] now for the girls is pretty in a unisex way.

[name]Houston[/name] Remily [name]Houston[/name] seems so wrong for a girl, [name]Remy[/name] [name]Hope[/name] may be a good substitute.

Boys:
[name]Bronson[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] [name]Bronson[/name] sounds like a prize fighter all beef and no brains, on the other hand [name]Rhys[/name] is gorgeous.

[name]Kyler[/name] [name]Ryland[/name] [name]Just[/name] [name]Kyle[/name] would be good [name]Kyler[/name] sounds strange

Name he likes that I’m not completely sold on.
Braven, Bravyn hopefully you will reconsider having this one on your list

[name]Elliott[/name] spelling only like the nn of [name]Elle[/name] but should be kept for the boys
[name]Kyle[/name] Definitely out for a girl
[name]Skylar[/name] Passable with nn of [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Ann[/name]-[name]Marie[/name] Pretty name
Esmee A pretty name
Leahnna No but [name]Leah[/name] is pretty
[name]Cadence[/name] A very pretty name
[name]Eliana[/name] Another pretty name

Boys:
[name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Love[/name]
[name]Matteo[/name] Not bad
[name]Shawn[/name] Probably a no but like spelling as [name]Sean[/name]
[name]Russell[/name] No, [name]Rory[/name] would be much nicer
[name]Tanner[/name] No for a girl [name]Tamsin[/name], boy [name]Spencer[/name]
[name]Chance[/name] Probably a No but like [name]Hunter[/name]
[name]Connor[/name] [name]Love[/name]
[name]Landon[/name] A good strong name

Girls:
[name]Aubriana[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name]----nn: [name]Aubrey[/name], [name]Kenna[/name] - I like [name]Adriana[/name] better. What about [name]Audra[/name] instead with the nn [name]Audie[/name]? I like [name]Mackenzie[/name] and think it’s fine in the middle. I’ll suggest - [name]Audra[/name] [name]MacKenzie[/name]
[name]Ryanne[/name] [name]Juliana[/name]----nn: [name]Rye[/name], [name]Leah[/name] - I agree with the others and don’t like the spelling of [name]Ryanne[/name]. Rhiann (ree-ann) is a great alternative. I love Juiana and as already suggested [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Rhian[/name] would be pretty.
[name]Peyton[/name] Emerence----nn: [name]Emmie[/name] (My hubby would prefer Emerynce…says there’s too many E’s in Emerence. Although he is right, I don’t like the ynce. - I like [name]Peyton[/name] but Emerence/Emerynce looks made up. What about [name]Peyton[/name] [name]Emery[/name], or [name]Peyton[/name] [name]Emelia[/name].

Boys:
[name]Kyle[/name] [name]Crispin[/name]----nn: KC, [name]Cris[/name] - I like the initials KC, those are actually my daughters first and last initials and I though if she ever played softball KC would be a cute nn. [name]Kyle[/name] feels a bit dated but it’s not horrible. I like [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Christian[/name] or [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Chandler[/name], to keep the KC itnials.
[name]Mason[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]----nn: Mase, [name]Alex[/name] - Very nice.
[name]Ayden[/name] [name]Everette[/name]----nn: Rett - I don’t like this spelling [name]Aiden[/name] is popular but is still a nice sounding name. [name]Everette[/name] spelling looks like it’s for a girl imo. [name]Aiden[/name] [name]Everett[/name] is muc nicer.

Names I like that he doesn’t.

Girls:
Emiliyn [name]Avery[/name] (Pronounced [name]Emmy[/name]-Lein)----nn: [name]Emmie[/name] - Also agree about the spelling here, [name]Emmeline[/name] would be the way to go with this one. Or how about [name]Emma[/name]-[name]Lynn[/name] [name]Avery[/name] (I’m weird about repetitive “y’s”, I don’t really care for them.)
[name]Houston[/name] Remily----nn: [name]Remy[/name] - I like [name]Austen[/name] ([name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name]) or [name]Austin[/name] ([name]Austin[/name], TX) better for a girl than [name]Houston[/name]. I know a [name]Houston[/name] and he is all boy. He gets called [name]Huey[/name] sometimes. [name]Austen[/name]/[name]Austin[/name] [name]Romilly[/name] would be my preference or actually [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Austen[/name]/[name]Austin[/name].

Boys:
[name]Bronson[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]----nn: Brons - this is nice!
[name]Kyler[/name] [name]Ryland[/name]----nn: [name]Kyle[/name], [name]Kye[/name], [name]Rye[/name] - I I like [name]Ryland[/name] for a first name but don’t like it with [name]Kyle[/name]. Typically I don’t usually like two names that both have “y’s” in them, one is okay just not two. [name]Ryland[/name] would make a nice first name, I like the nn [name]Rye[/name].

Name he likes that I’m not completely sold on.
Braven for a boy----nn: none - This is a new one to me. I can see it’s appeal
Bravyn for a girl—nn: none - I don’t like “y’s” replacing letters to alter the orginal spelling. - What about a B first name followed by [name]Raven[/name] as the middle? B. [name]Raven[/name] ----

Name’s we’ve thrown around.

Girls:
Elliette ([name]Elliott[/name]) - The original spelling of any name is the best way to go, imo. I love [name]Elliot[/name] for a girl and even [name]Ellison[/name].
Kyelle ([name]Kyle[/name]) - [name]Kyle[/name] for a girl spelled this way would be fine. There are little girls named [name]Ryan[/name] running around to who have kept the original spelling the same.
[name]Skylar[/name] - I know a boy named [name]Skylar[/name] and a girl named [name]Skylar[/name]. I like it for both.
[name]Ann[/name]-[name]Marie[/name] - Pretty.
Esmee - Prette or [name]Esme[/name].
Leahnna - [name]Leanna[/name] yes Leahanna no.
[name]Cadence[/name] - I do like this one, nn [name]Cadie[/name]/[name]Cady[/name] (but it looks like Caddy).
[name]Eliana[/name] - Gorgeous.

Boys:
[name]Jonathan[/name] - [name]Love[/name] not matter how popular it is. I think [name]Jonathan[/name]/[name]Johnathan[/name] is a great classic that never goes out of style.
[name]Matteo[/name] - A personal favorite. I also like the softer version - [name]Mathias[/name].
[name]Shawn[/name] - I also like the [name]Sean[/name] spelling.
[name]Russell[/name] - not a personal favorite but it’s not bad either. I see the nn [name]Rusty[/name], which I don’t like.
[name]Tanner[/name] - This name is very athletic to me. I knew a [name]Tanner[/name] who played football so that’s explains my image of this name. Not a bad image I just thought I’d throw that in.
[name]Chance[/name] - I like the idea and the sound of it but I wouldn’t use it.
[name]Connor[/name] - The most popular name in my area. Out side of that, it’s okay.
[name]Landon[/name] - I like [name]Landon[/name] better than [name]Connor[/name] but it too is popular where I live.

[name]Jill[/name]: I love the names [name]Adriana[/name], [name]Blake[/name], [name]Emery[/name], [name]Ellery[/name], and [name]Sawyer[/name]. I also love the names [name]Beckett[/name], [name]Hudson[/name], [name]Kellan[/name], and [name]Walker[/name]. We will talk about these.

Our list Updated

Girls:
[name]Aubriana[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name] (hubby still wants it)
[name]Ryan[/name] [name]Juliana[/name]
[name]Austin[/name] [name]Romilly[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Avery[/name] (hubby compromised on spelling)

Boys:
[name]Kyle[/name] [name]Crispin[/name] (hubby still wants it)
[name]Mason[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Ayden[/name] [name]Everett[/name] (he will not compromise on spelling)
[name]Bronson[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] (got hubby to compromise =]])

Still iffy on
Braven [name]Austin[/name], Braven [name]Elliott[/name], Braven [name]Kellan[/name] (hubby chose middle names)
Bravyn—need any ideas on middle names.

I still [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Esme[/name] [name]Rian[/name]. Hubby doesn’t like it. He heard the name from a dutch singer (Esmee Denters) and he doesn’t like it. I also still [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Kyler[/name] [name]Ryland[/name] but hubby is still stuck on [name]Kyle[/name] and hates the RR with [name]KyleR[/name] [name]Ryland[/name].

Hubby surprised me with a new one. [name]Texas[/name] Battle. Appearently he got it from an actor? I don’t know. You tell me how you feel about this. Any other ideas and opinions would be appreciated.

[name]Ryan[/name] [name]Juliana[/name] is my pick from your girl’s list; [name]Ryan[/name] is one of my “guilty pleasures” for a girl (but I like it for a boy as well), but I agree with you this time with using the “regular” spelling and not spelling it differently for a girl.

From your boy’s list I like [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Crispin[/name] and [name]Bronson[/name] [name]Rhys[/name].

Good luck!

Girls:
[name]Aubriana[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name] (hubby still wants it): I’m trying to like it, but the names are just too dated for me, especially [name]Mackenzie[/name]. The styles of the two are very different.

[name]Ryan[/name] [name]Juliana[/name]: I really love [name]Juliana[/name], but I’m just personally not a fan of boys’ names on girls. I thought I’d suggest [name]Rhiannon[/name].

[name]Austin[/name] [name]Romilly[/name]: I think that [name]Romilly[/name] is a great name, and I love the [name]Romy[/name] nickname. [name]Austin[/name] is already dated on boys’, and I’m wondering if you’ve considered [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Austin[/name]?

[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Avery[/name] (hubby compromised on spelling): Yea! I love [name]Emmeline[/name]. [name]Avery[/name] is pretty dated, but I think the flow is nice overall.

From your list, my favorite is [name]Emmeline[/name].

Boys:
[name]Kyle[/name] [name]Crispin[/name] (hubby still wants it): I think that [name]Crispin[/name] is a cool middle name, but I’m just not much of a [name]Kyle[/name] fan.
[name]Mason[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]: [name]Mason[/name] is very popular, but I think this is very handsome
[name]Ayden[/name] [name]Everett[/name] (he will not compromise on spelling): I love [name]Everett[/name]. What about [name]Everett[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]?
[name]Bronson[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] (got hubby to compromise =]]): I think that [name]Rhys[/name] is a great name! [name]Bronson[/name] makes me think of [name]Charles[/name] [name]Bronson[/name], the actor.

[name]Everett[/name] is my favorite name from your list, and my favorite combo of yours is [name]Mason[/name] [name]Alexander[/name].

“[name]Texas[/name] Battle” reminds me of the [name]Alamo[/name], a [name]Texas[/name] battle that played a role in the [name]Texas[/name] revolution. I only think of war and violence when I hear “[name]Texas[/name] Battle,” so I’m not a fan of the name.

I can see that [name]Tex[/name] would make a good nn but [name]Tex[/name] [name]Weston[/name] or [name]Tex[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name] or [name]Tex[/name] [name]Atticus[/name], [name]Tex[/name] [name]William[/name], [name]Tex[/name] [name]Zachariah[/name], [name]Tex[/name] [name]Christopher[/name], [name]Tex[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name], [name]Tex[/name] [name]Landon[/name], [name]Tex[/name] [name]Henry[/name] or [name]Tex[/name] [name]Axel[/name] would be my picks.

My son’s name is [name]Kyel[/name]. I’m surprised to see it listed as a girls name. When I did all the research in 2000, it was listed only a s a boy’s name. I personally like it spelled [name]Kyel[/name] instead of [name]Kyle[/name], it makes more sense to me that way.

Girls:
[name]Aubriana[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name]----nn: [name]Aubrey[/name], [name]Kenna[/name] <— Whole thing seems kinda ‘current’ and trendy.
Ryanne Juliana----nn: Rye, Leah <— I don’t like Ryanne, although it does LOOK gorgeous.
Peyton Emerence----nn: Emmie (My hubby would prefer Emerynce…says there’s too many E’s in Emerence. Although he is right, I don’t like the ynce. <— I don’t like Emerence at all and prefer Peyton on a boy so I’ll just step away from this one.

Boys:
Kyle Crispin----nn: KC, Cris <— LOL, I actually had a name on my list Crispin Kyle so I could use the initials C.K. which I thought was totally fab, when I was like 15!
Mason Alexander----nn: Mase, Alex <— Love Mason, would never use it He’d be one of 20 in my area.
Ayden Everette----nn: Rett <---- Despise Ayden and all it’s cousins.

Names I like that he doesn’t.

Girls:
Emiliyn Avery (Pronounced Emmy-Lein)----nn: Emmie <---- I’m not one to knock creative spellings but Emiliyn looks really squished to me. Too many tiny letters followed by the wide set -yn. Visually unappealing to me.
Houston Remily----nn: Remy <— Prefer Houston on boys. Remily look made up and I’m not sure how to say it.

Boys:
Bronson Rhys----nn: Brons <---- Nah, not for me.
Kyler Ryland----nn: Kyle, Kye, Rye <— The sing-song nature of this name turns me off of it.

Name he likes that I’m not completely sold on.
Braven for a boy----nn: none <— Nope
Bravyn for a girl—nn: none <---- Nope.

Name’s we’ve thrown around.

Girls:
Elliette (Elliott) <— …Nah.
Kyelle (Kyle) <— I don’t understand why you’re trying to give her guy names yet make them so ultra-feminine…
Skylar - Cute.
Ann-Marie <— Gorgeous.
Esmee <— Burnt out on this name, plus I don’t like it with two 'e’s
Leahnna <---- Nooooo.
Cadence <---- Cute.
Eliana <---- Pretty, but clunky.

Boys:
Jonathan <— Not a fan.
Matteo <— Prefer Matthew unless you’re ethnic.
Shawn <---- Sionn.
Russell <---- Nope.
Tanner <---- Trendy.
Chance <---- Dislike.
Connor <---- Cute
Landon <---- Trending.

All in all your girl names seem way WAY over the top and your boys are sort of underwhelming next to them. I think you guys need to do some soul searching to discover what your ‘style’ is before you try to settle on any names.
