I posted before about your long list, now I’m curious about your short list. I guess I’ll say maximum between 5 and 10. But definitely not more than 10! I say this long because I know some people had 20 or so names on there long lists!
I don’t exactly have mine yet, but when I do I will certainley post it!

PS Of course you can go under 5 names, just at least more than 1.
This was my official short list during my last pregnancy

[name]Noemi[/name]
[name]Kinga[/name]
T”nde
Some nice Hungarian names as you can see…
[name]Do[/name] you mind if I include two lists? The first will be the short list for my sister [name]Kacey[/name]'s baby, who I will be helping to name. The second is my personal list. Some of it overlaps, but [name]Kacey[/name]'s names are the ones she might potentially use, while mine are simply ones I like at the moment. These are all in no particular order.
[name]Kacey[/name]'s List:
[name]Imelda[/name] nn [name]Melly[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name] nn [name]Elsie[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] nn [name]Carrie[/name]
[name]Luella[/name] nn [name]Lulu[/name]
[name]Meryl[/name] nn [name]Merry[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] nn [name]Lydie[/name]

[name]Celestia[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name]

[name]Eva[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] “[name]Evie[/name]” or [name]Elaina[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] or [name]Eliana[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] “[name]Ellie[/name]”
[name]Andreas[/name] is after grandpa. [name]Peter[/name] is for a familie last name. [name]Edgar[/name] is my grandpas mn. [name]Sebastian[/name] is an old family name. [name]Renee[/name] is after grandma.
Our first daughter will have an E name without a doubt. I’m just not sure which one I like more.
Other names I’d consider:
[name]Soren[/name]
[name]Silas[/name]
[name]Maximilian[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name]
For girls in the recent months I’ve really been feeling names that are longer and more princessy but not names that are like so Princessy like [name]Anastasia[/name]. But there are some girl names that aren’t like that at all that I adore.
Liviana - I really like this name. It is a great alternative for the super popular [name]Olivia[/name]. It has the [name]Liv[/name] nickname. Also [name]Liv[/name] is cute just on it’s own.
[name]Aurora[/name] - I just really like this name. It is the name of Sleeping Beauty so it does have that [name]Princess[/name] association to it. But I really also like the nickname [name]Rory[/name] for it. I think that can play down the femininity of the name.
[name]Abilene[/name] - Another A name but I really love this one. I think it’s kinda prettier than the super popular [name]Abigail[/name]. Which kind of looks like A big gal. [name]Just[/name] sayin…
[name]Valentina[/name] - I think this name is great. I wouldn’t want it to be nicknamed though. That’s the only problem I have with the name. I’d want my daughter to go by the full name. Because [name]Val[/name] reminds me of a nickname for [name]Valarie[/name] and I don’t like that name. And I really don’t like the name [name]Tina[/name] either.
[name]Nora[/name] - I really like [name]Eleanora[/name] too but I prefer [name]Nora[/name] just on it’s own. I think it is great.
[name]Elle[/name] - I love the names [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name], [name]Gabriella[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Ella[/name]. [name]Elle[/name] is a great nickname for all of those names. Problem for me is all the other names are soo popular I’d never use them. [name]Elle[/name] is great as a nickname even for names that begin with the [name]Elle[/name] sound like [name]Eleanora[/name]/[name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Eleanore[/name]. But I think [name]Elle[/name] works just as nice on its own. [name]Elle[/name] is cute when your daughter is little and I think it definitely is a name that will grow with the child when they get older.
[name]Rose[/name] - I think [name]Rose[/name] is a princessy name but not in an obvious way like [name]Seraphina[/name], Liviana, [name]Anastasia[/name], [name]Aurora[/name], etc. But I also think there is something so classic and timeless about this name. I just love it.
[name]Annika[/name] - I love this name I really honestly do. I think it is one of those names that would be a lot more popular if more people knew about it. It has an international flair without being too flashy, and it definitely adds spice to the name [name]Ann[/name]/An/[name]Anne[/name].
[name]Jessamine[/name] - I know someone who has this name. Which is how I was first introduced to it. It means “[name]Jasmine[/name] [name]Flower[/name]” so I think it is a great alternative for parents-to-be that want a name that has a princessy flair. (let’s face it when most people hear the name [name]Jasmine[/name] you think [name]Aladdin[/name], I don’t but it is a [name]LONG[/name] story that no one wants to hear trust me), But at the same time they don’t want to choose an overly popular name like [name]Jessica[/name]. I think [name]Jessamine[/name] definitely brings the two together. Of course [name]Jess[/name] is a very obvious nickname for the name.
[name]Nerissa[/name] - I think the name is really different but at the same time I think it kinda fits it with all the super popular names. I don’t know if I’d actually use it but I do love it.
Boys names don’t really have a theme for me. I just like strong boys names.
[name]Ciaran[/name] - I swear this name is probably my guilty pleasure name. I just love it so much and when I get married and if I have a little boy I would be thoroughly disappointed if I didn’t get to name him this name. I also really dislike the alternate spelling to this name [name]Kieran[/name].
[name]Grady[/name] - Yeah it is an Irish name too. But I like it, it definitely fits in with popular names. Like [name]Brady[/name] and [name]Brody[/name] but it isn’t popular in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name]. I don’t know, I love this name. Maybe it’s just me.
[name]Caius[/name] - I heard this name on AnastasiaRuby (aka [name]Stephanie[/name]'s) youtube channel. I think it is a great name and I like it better than just plain [name]Kai[/name].
[name]Cavan[/name] - I am a soap opera fan. So I first heard of this name just a few short months ago when [name]Greg[/name] [name]Vaughan[/name] (ex-[name]Lucky[/name] [name]Spencer[/name], GH) and his wife chose this for their second son. I think it is soo great and boy names that end in N are so popular so it does fit in with the trends.
[name]William[/name] - It is probably my favorite super popular name and I wouldn’t use it just because it is so popular but I do still love it so much. I also love the name [name]Braeden[/name] but not as much as I use to and since it is soaring in popularity right now I definitely wouldn’t use it.
[name]Bradford[/name] - I love it just because. I’d probably call the child [name]Brad[/name] for short. But yeah – [name]Bradford[/name] is great.
[name]Vaughan[/name] - it is a great one syllable name. It can also be spelled [name]Vaughn[/name] Idk I like the extra a in there. If I am the only one that does that’s fine. I think this name is one of those surname names that works.
[name]Lex[/name] - Can be a nickname for the super popular [name]Alexander[/name] but I think [name]Lex[/name] on it’s own is stronger and definitely fresh sounding and it kinda feels like it has some international like European flair to it.
[name]Elias[/name] - this name isn’t super popular which I like. Especially not where I am from. I’d use it.
[name]Deacon[/name] - I really like [name]Deacon[/name]. Idk I don’t have anything to say about it other than I like it.
