Your thoughts on Ariadne, Arianne or Arianna?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering which people prefer:
The original [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]/[name_f]Ariane[/name_f], or the current most popular version in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u] and UK which is [name_f]Arianna[/name_f]/[name_f]Ariana[/name_f]?
I like all of them. I love the nn [name_u]Arie[/name_u].

I’d love to hear your reasons for your preference too.

I like the french [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]. I’m drawn to names with two n’s for some reason. I also think french names are beautiful.

[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is an awesome name! I’m not a fan of the others, though.

Definitely [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]! I had liked [name_f]Arianna[/name_f]/[name_f]Ariana[/name_f] before [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] came on my radar, but I saw adorable pictures of a little [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] on my Twitter feed when I fell for her, and she was just the cutest! I fell in love with the meaning, and the nn [name_u]Ari[/name_u], and how spunky and feminine and unusual she is. She’s been my second favorite girls’ name for probably 5 or so years now.

I like [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], but as a [name_m]Christian[/name_m], I feel sort of weird using a name that directly comes from another religion (I know, I know, [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]'s just a variant of it, but it’s far enough removed for me, I guess). It almost seems larger than life, too. I can’t really imagine a little girl wearing [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] very easily. And [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] I like, but not as much as [name_f]Arianne[/name_f].

[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is definitely my favourite, as I connect it with the mythology. Also it sounds most elegant.

As another berry has said, [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] is half made of 'A’s - looks overdone.

[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is a fabulous, unexpected name!! I love the meaning of the name too. I found [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] overused and I dont like the sound of [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] but Its an okay name.

[name_f]Ariana[/name_f]–prn R E awn ah…not r e [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is too much and [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] feels incomplete.

My daughter is [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] so I might be biased. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nn [name_u]Ari[/name_u]. Both aria and arianna are becoming super popular in the us. [name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t heard [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] but that’s pretty too :slight_smile:
