I have recently started to like the name [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. If I used it the formal name would be [name_u]James[/name_u] and his nn would be [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]? I am wondering if you think it is too girly?
[name_m]Just[/name_m] a note it isn’t for the baby I am expecting which it a girl. [name_m]Just[/name_m] for future use.
[name_u]James[/name_u] is one of my favorite names. [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is a great NN.

[name_u]Jamie[/name_u] isn’t too girly! It’s my husband’s name. He hates when girls are called [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] lol.
I’ve only known 2 girls with the name [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. I have a close male friend who goes by [name_u]Jamey[/name_u]. So in my head [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is feminine, but I know it can be used for either. The funny thing is I call [name_u]Jamey[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] as a nickname half the time, the same way people call me Ems.
I associate [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] with both females and males. It’s one of the few names I just love to see on boys and girls.
I think [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is a adorable nn for [name_u]James[/name_u] - it’s one of my favorite nn’s for [name_u]James[/name_u] with [name_u]Jem[/name_u], so go for it
I see [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] more as a boys name. I know several [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]‘s (some of whom are [name_u]James[/name_u]’ that use it as a nn) but the only girl I know with the name is actually a [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]-[name_u]Lynn[/name_u].
I think [name_u]James[/name_u] is like the greatest male name of all time…I prefer the nickname [name_m]Jim[/name_m] though. But I def think [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is a boy name. I don’t really like it for a girl, feels too boyish.
I’ve always liked this as a nickname for a boy! I think it’s so cute. I’m not sure if I would use it on a child. I would definitely consider it though. I would most definitely use it for a character.
