I told DH my name list. He is getting antsy for a baby now too so for the first time in a loooong time he listened. Lolhe likes all of them but the one i stared. Our last name sounds like [name]Barren[/name].

Boys :
[name]Roderick[/name] [name]Barren[/name] (one he suggested. I like that it has a lot of history and i could call him [name]Rory[/name].)
[name]Damian[/name] [name]Baron[/name] (another if his top choices)
[name]Seamus[/name] [name]Barren[/name] (i love this one. I think it is really handsome)
[name]Cedric[/name] [name]Barren[/name] ( love this one too. Dh has grown into it. He use to just say no. Lol)
[name]Xavier[/name] [name]Barren[/name] ( this is probably the least likely of the list. I like it but it gives me a strange vibe at the same time. )

Girls:
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Barren[/name] (I think this one sounds great with our daughters name. And it is very pretty and frilly. I wonder if it is getting pipular though?)
[name]Guinevere[/name] [name]Barren[/name] (Our first daughter has an unexpected name and i think [name]Guinevere[/name] is equally unexpected but still well known and pretty. [name]Gwen[/name] and [name]Ever[/name] are cute nick names.)
*Primerose [name]Barren[/name] (he thinks its too hungergames, BUT agrees with me that Prim is gorgeous with our daughters nickname. They go together like two peas in a pod. Other Prim names would be appreciated.)

I am hopinh for twins. :slight_smile: I will likely go on clomid next year and twins run in the family, plus i just have a lot of faith. :slight_smile: so it is a possibility.

[name]Roderick[/name] – While I like [name]Rory[/name] a lot, [name]Roderick[/name] feels too much like a surname to work well as a first. I’d prefer Roric “[name]Rory[/name]”.
[name]Damian[/name] – To be quite honest, I’m growing tired of this one as it seems to be everywhere; rather bland.
[name]Seamus[/name] – This is one name I have never been able to warm to as all I hear is ‘shame’ and that’s just too negative a sound for me to hear prominently within a name.
[name]Cedric[/name] – It’s not bad, but rather dated, unless you are in the UK, where I think it is still quite used.
[name]Xavier[/name] – A funky little guy, and a lot different in style to your others.

[name]Cecily[/name] – It’s grown on me, I will admit, as I used to find it too old-fashioned, that is until I saw it used on a couple of modern days kids.
[name]Guinevere[/name] – A very strong name, that I like a lot. I like the idea of [name]Ever[/name] as nickname.
[name]Primrose[/name] – I’ve not read nor seen ‘The Hunger Games’, but I think if anything, the association would make the name more usable. Prim is really sweet.
[name]Katalina[/name] – I love this, particularly spelled [name]Catalina[/name]. [name]Kate[/name] is nice as nickname.
[name]Kathleen[/name] – I’m really no fan of this at all, I’m afraid.

My favourites would have to be [name]Xavier[/name] and [name]Katalina[/name], or, [name]Cedric[/name] and [name]Guinevere[/name] (I list two different sets, as I feel they are two completely different styles).

[name]Damian[/name] - NMS. I’ve never liked this name.
[name]Seamus[/name] - NMS. Prefer [name]Sean[/name].
[name]Cedric[/name] - NMS. This sounds like an old man’s name to me.
[name]Xavier[/name] - Like this one. Classic but not over-used.

[name]Cecily[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this one! [name]One[/name] of my favorite names! Other good alternatives: [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Cecile[/name], and [name]Celia[/name].

[name]Primrose[/name] - Definitely no. The literary fad association is way too much. It would be like naming your son [name]James[/name] T. [name]Kirk[/name]. [name]Damian[/name] [name]Baron[/name] - I love [name]Damian[/name]. I envision a handsome boy with a mischievous streak.

[name]Seamus[/name] [name]Barren[/name] - This isn’t my favourite Irish name as I always hear the word “shame” in it. I think of a boy who has a quirky charm.

[name]Cedric[/name] [name]Barren[/name] - An unusual dahsing name with a wonderful literary connection with Sir [name]Walter[/name] [name]Scott[/name]'s “[name]Ivanhoe[/name]”. I can see a serious and studious boy with an immense curiousily. This name is popular in the African-American community.

[name]Xavier[/name] [name]Barren[/name] - I love [name]Xavier[/name] and it flows well with your surname. I think this name has a lot of panache but it may be the most popular name on your list. I still find it somewhat exotic. I can easily picture an [name]Xavier[/name] as a creative and artistic boy with a wonderful imagination.

I think it will gain in popularity in the coming years. I’ve always liked it better in the middle spot. The image of a shy and quiet girl comes to mind (I’m not a Hunger Games fan so this could be off-the-mark). Alternatives: [name]Primula[/name], [name]Primalia[/name], [name]Prima[/name] or [name]Primavera[/name].

[name]Katalina[/name] [name]Barren[/name] - I don’t really like the “K” spelling. [name]Catalina[/name] is the Spanish version but unfortunately in [name]Canada[/name] it’s the name of a salad dressing. :slight_smile: I can see a talkative and lively girl with this name. It was a favourite for parents before [name]Caitlin[/name] took over. It’s a comfortable name with a certain retro style so it is strangely appealing. I can see a warm, friendly, no-nonsense type of girl.
