Your Thoughts On My Current List?

Hey Berries,

Yesterday, I made a top 3 for the boys, and a top 5 for the girls. I haven’t been able to get past a top 3 for each gender for so long! I am one of those people who only puts a name on the favourites list if they really, REALLY love it, so this was pretty tricky!

I am rather eager to hear your though on my list. It’s still a bit topsy-turvy, the combos are exactly perfect, but I am falling in love with each name even more, and that’s a good sign.

  1. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]

  2. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u]

  3. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]

  4. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]

  5. [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f]

  6. [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f]

  7. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]

  8. [name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]*

*yeah, I know [name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] (Or-lah) doesn’t really fit in. It’s my favourite Irish name though, and I feel like I cant drop it just yet, not until I find a name I like even more.

NOTE: I am not expecting, just collecting name gems for the future.

Thank you!

[name_f]Mina[/name_f].

My favorite names from your list are [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. My top 2 combos are [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f].

I love love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]! My favorite boys name from your list is [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] but I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] with your middle name [name_u]Robin[/name_u] a lot.

  1. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - so very handsome. My first thought is Mr. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u].

  2. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] - I love [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], but I’m not keen on [name_u]Robin[/name_u]. The flow is nice though despite the -r ending and the R- beginning.

  3. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] - [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is gorgeous, but [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] is all female to me.

  4. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] - Gorgeous.

  5. [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f], but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] are lovely.

  6. [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] - Not a big fan of [name_f]Enid[/name_f], [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] is nice. Flow is unusual, but I like it.

  7. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] - Gorgeous.

  8. [name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]* - So pretty. I usually prefer original spellings, but in this case I prefer the [name_f]Orla[/name_f] spelling.

[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - I really like how these sounds together and in so happy to see someone considering [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] for a boy in this age.

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] - I only don’t like the double r, but I don’t think it’s really a problem. You don’t say the middle name too often.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] - [name_m]Henry[/name_m] isn’t my style, but it’s a lovely combination.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] - [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is classic, and I love how [name_f]Plum[/name_f] lightens it.

[name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] better.

[name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] - Gorgeous! My favorite on your list!

[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] - This name feels like it had a great story behind it. I think that’s a great feeling to have, even if it doesn’t.

[name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] - Very pretty look and sound.

[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - I’ve always loved [name_m]Julian[/name_m] with the nn [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] reminds me of Mr. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] as well. However, I know two people named [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - both girls - so it appears it’s more of a female name nowadays which would cause me to pair it was a little bit stronger/masculine first name like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] - I immediately thought of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] because of the way they both sound running into each other: [name_m]OlivER[/name_m] [name_u]ROBIN[/name_u]/[name_m]ChristophER[/name_m] [name_u]ROBIN[/name_u]! Still, I rather like this combination. It’s quirky.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] - I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] the name [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. But [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]? Not even a little bit. I don’t care if it was technically a male name at first; it’s not now and it doesn’t sound the least bit masculine to me. I hate to be harsh, but I would honestly feel embarrassed for a guy if his name was [name_u]Meredith[/name_u].

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] - I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] THIS NAME! Gorgeous.

[name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] - [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is one of my favorites, but [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] is not attractive to me at all. I think [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] flows better.

[name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] - I really like this combo. I’m more of an [name_f]Edith[/name_f] fan rather than [name_f]Enid[/name_f], but I still like it a lot.

[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] - It’s quite the mouthful but very pretty and distinctive.

[name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] - This is a close second just behind [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]. I really love this. Like someone else said, I feel the same way about the spelling. Normally I like traditional Gaelic spellings, but in this case, I much prefer the simplicity of [name_f]Orla[/name_f].

[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]- very handsome, a nice balance between modern and classic/old-fashioned in a good way. I love the Mr. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] connection
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u]- I like both names on their own, but not so keen on the back-to-back Rs
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]- I really like this combo. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is strong, solid and clearly masculine, while [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] is softer but still has sturdy sounds (as opposed to froufrou or fluffy) and I’d love to see it on a boy. I like [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] on both genders.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]- lovely, spunky and fun. I think of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] from As You Like It.
[name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f]- all three of these names are a bit too heavy and clunky for me, sorry
[name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f]- also feels rather clunky and harsh
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]- I agree with whoever said this was rather story-like. It has a touch of the whimsical and fantastical about it, but is totally wearable and hits the perfect balance of familiar yet uncommon.
[name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]- I don’t usually like [name_f]Fern[/name_f], but I think this combo flows really well. It feels fresh and new like springtime, all budding trees and flowers, warm sunshine, and a babbling brook.

[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - I’m so glad to see [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] being used on a boy! Whenever I mention this name to someone I know, people are like, “Uh, that’s a girl name.” And I’m just sitting here wondering where all the cultured people are. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] isn’t really my style, but it’s still a great name.
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] - I like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and I think [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is okay too. Neither are my favorite, but there’s not really anything wrong with either one of them. I think the flow is great and it’s a great name!
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] - I’ve never heard [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] on a boy before…? Hmm. I do like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] though!

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] - Not a fan of [name_f]Plum[/name_f] and I don’t think I would use [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], but it’s a great name and the flow is nice too.
[name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] - I really like [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f]! [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]'s cute too.
[name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] - I’m not quite sure how to pronounce this one, haha!
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Esmerelda[/name_f] - [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is great!
[name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] - Not sure how to pronounce this one either, but if the way I am is correct, then I think it’s fine. I don’t think I would use it, but it’s not bad.
