Some of these middles I think might better serve you switched. [name_m]BARN[/name_m]-na-BY [name_u]DASH[/name_u]-ie-[name_f]ELL[/name_f] doesn’t work imo because you aren’t alternating stress on the syllables. You have [name_u]DASH[/name_u] following close on the heels of BY. Opposite problem with HU-go na-THAN-iel. Now, if you said [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], that would work! Let me know if I need to explain further. Now, this is just my opinion – you can choose whatever names you like
Sibsets:
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] ([name_f]Tess[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]/[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f]…perfect!)
with…
well, pretty much any of your boys’ first names work well with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f]!
for girls, I think [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] comes the closest to sharing what [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] have
1. What do you think of the names themselves?
Individually, I like [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_m]Chester[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Hettie[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. As combos, I like [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_m]Chester[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
2. [name_f]Do[/name_f] the combos flow well?
For me, all of the combos flow well except for [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
3. [name_f]Do[/name_f] they work together as a group? If you had to split them into sibsets, which would you put together?
I think they’re all very similar and they sound nice all together. As for sibsets, here are some I like especially:
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_m]Chester[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u], [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
@x14556 - thanks for the tips on the middle names. I’ll have a think on that; might switch them up and see how I feel about it. I agree that [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] work really well together.
@bretak - I’ll look again at [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]; what is it about those combos that you don’t like? I like your sibset groups though; I think they work well.
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Prue[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] - [name_f]Prue[/name_f] is nms but I love this combo!
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
runners up for girls:
[name_u]Romy[/name_u] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] - love [name_u]Romy[/name_u] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] separately more than together, but still nice.
[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - cute. not a big [name_f]Nell[/name_f] fan, but love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. would prefer [name_u]Romy[/name_u] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - nice, I’ve had [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f] on my own list.
[name_f]Hettie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - almost love but dont like the repeated ‘et’
I like your naming style though. I love the nicknamey firsts with the longer middles (for girls).
Oh and my #1 sibset would be [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]!
Thanks emsky. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like so many of the combos. I have just noticed the repeated et sound in [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], i’ll have to look at that one, thanks!
I really like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] together too!
