I love the sound and feel of [name_f]Athena[/name_f]. That being said, if you love [name_f]Sara[/name_f], use it! I definitely don’t think it’s too “boring”
I do agree that [name_f]Sara[/name_f] feels a little plain compared to [name_f]Athena[/name_f] which has such a lovely feel about it. But [name_f]Sara[/name_f] is nice and if thats what you love, then go for it.
I’ve known sooooo many people named [name_f]Sara[/name_f]/[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] growing up that I just don’t see any spark. [name_f]Athena[/name_f] is stunning, she has a lovely meaning, and is really pretty.
I prefer [name_f]Athena[/name_f] - I like the sounds better
I agree with PP in that I knew several [name_f]Sara[/name_f]/Sarahs growing up, however, I don’t think it is as common as it once was, and I quite like it now. I think it has such great potential, especially with an awesome middle, and extra especially if you’d be fond of calling her by a double name (i.e. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]).
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] is not my style, but I see the appeal. Whereas some would say [name_f]Sara[/name_f] is too common and plain, I feel like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] has too strong of a connection for my personal taste, not that I dislike the association at all though!
I think go with your gut. If [name_f]Sara[/name_f] keeps stirring in the back of your mind, then I think she’s worth considering. You could also hold onto both and wait until you meet her to know for certain! I’ll also throw the suggestion of [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] out there - it sort of combines [name_f]Sara[/name_f] & [name_f]Athena[/name_f] in a way.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Athena[/name_f] but they are both lovely.
I voted [name_f]Sara[/name_f] but that’s mainly because I dont see the appeal of [name_f]Athena[/name_f]. I can see how [name_f]Sara[/name_f] appears plain compared to [name_f]Athena[/name_f] though. Maybe wait until baby arrives and you will hopefully know which name will suit her!
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] has more spark and is much more interesting to me, whereas [name_f]Sara[/name_f] is so commonplace and would really feel like “just another [name_f]Sara[/name_f]” to me. [name_f]Sara[/name_f]/[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] seems to have been one of the most common girls’ names in my circle growing up and I literally can’t count how many I’ve known over the years, while I’ve only encountered a couple Athenas.
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] will get a lot more love on Nameberry as people on this site tend to gravitate towards unusual names. But from your post it sounds like you love [name_f]Sara[/name_f] most, so use [name_f]Sara[/name_f] She’s your daughter, it doesn’t matter what random people out there think about her name as long as it’s not actually embarrassing or offensive.
