I’d love to hear some thoughts, opinions or suggestions on my favourite combos.
They’re in my signature, but I’ll write them here as well:
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Iona[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Tilly[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f]- I love this. I love [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]! I myself would prefer it as a nickname (to [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]) but paired with [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] I think just [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is fine. [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] is long and full and balances the shorter, lighter [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] out
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]- Ahh I love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. Its one of those names that fits woth almost any name, any style. Its classy and not expected or over popular. And I like the flow of this whole name.
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]- My first thought is this is a very short name. Almost too short. The look and the sound. It seems like [name_f]Mila[/name_f] could have more length and substance. A longer name with the nickname [name_f]Mila[/name_f]? [name_f]Milena[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]. [name_f]Camila[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]. But I do think [name_f]Mila[/name_f] works fine as a stand alone name and it has a lovely sound. [name_m]Just[/name_m] the look of this combo looks so short and small to me.
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]- Quite plain and a little dull next to some of your other names. Maybe a different middle name? I like something a little spunky with [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] like [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Marina[/name_f].
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- This is lovely. [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] is a great, uncommon but not unheard of name! And paired with the classic [name_f]Rose[/name_f] it is a beautiful feminine combination.
[name_f]Iona[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]- I really am liking the flow and lilt of this one! Awesome combination.
[name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]- Oh how I love [name_f]Reina[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] isn’t my favourite middle name with it, it feels like a tiny bit of a let down after [name_f]Reina[/name_f]. But it’s ok. [name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] or [name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (I like the alliteration in this one! Gives it some spunk)
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]- Great solid name. A good mix of vintage and new again. It also has a good strong sound and flow.
[name_f]Tilly[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- This one also feels a bit short and abrupt. Maybe because I expect [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] to be a nickname for something? [name_f]Matilde[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
They’re in my signature, but I’ll write them here as well:
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f]: This combo would be better as [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f]. The “ie” at the end of the [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and the E at the beginning of [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] is too much of the E sound.
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]: I think the flow of this combo would be better if reversed, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]: This is a beautiful combo.
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]: Both of these names are too harsh when put together in my opinion. Perhaps [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] or [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: I think the O sound in [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] and the O sound in [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are a little too much. Perhaps [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
[name_f]Iona[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]: This is pretty. Though I prefer the spelling [name_f]Iona[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
[name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]: Not a fan of the name [name_f]Reina[/name_f]. Makes me think of Reindeer. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is pretty.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]: I like this reversed, [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. Absolutely beautiful.
[name_f]Tilly[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]: Not a fan of [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]. It is hard to imagine that name aging well. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] with [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] as her nickname.
The one that sticks out to me is [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]…Pretty
I like Tillly [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and like the suggestion of [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
