I voted for [name]Eve[/name], but they are all so beautiful, and also kind of different, that I think it kind of depends what you want.

[name]Eve[/name] - I adore this name. This is the one to me that strikes the most notes of both serious (scholarly, academic, kind of an older name to say the least) and sensual (gardens, evening, etc). It is simple and elegant and can be made a little more child friendly (not that it’s unfriendly) with [name]Evie[/name]. It’s by far the last common of the 3 names according to SSA data, in the 400s (?), which to me is a good thing, but might not be to you (of course it is similar to so many names that are more popular, like [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Evelyn[/name]). If your last name is very short, it might not work as well as the other two (but could). If your last name is long, this might be ideal.

[name]Caroline[/name] - is to me the most proper, with a royal air to it, although that long o and long i make it playful. I believe it is the most currently popular on the SSA list, in the top 30 I think (?), so it’s the most “fitting in” name without by any means being overused to my taste. The nickname [name]Caro[/name] I find really very very adorable. If your last name is long, this might be not the best fit (but could); if your last name is short, this might be a very good match.

[name]Eva[/name] - I really like this one, too. To me this is the most evocative name, because of [name]Ava[/name] [name]Gardner[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] Longoria just sort of an oozing sense from the v to the a that [name]Eve[/name] doesn’t have, [name]Eve[/name] is a little “crisper”. I believe it’s in the 90s in popularity (?), again though very close to some more popular names. If you have a two-syllable last name, either of the others might have better rhythm, but again, this might work.

[name]Hope[/name] that helps! Besides the syllable count of your last name, check that the last sound of these names isn’t the first sound of your last name, perhaps. While I don’t think that’s so bad it has to rule names out, when you’re down to three contenders you like equally, I’d avoid [name]Eve[/name] V., [name]Caroline[/name] N., and [name]Eva[/name] A., unless doing so made me realize I loved that name the most!

Good luck!

I voted for [name]Caroline[/name], but I also like [name]Eva[/name]. I prefer [name]Eve[/name] as a nickname though, I don’t love one syllable names as full names

I voted for [name]Caroline[/name]…I also like [name]Eve[/name] though

I voted [name]Eve[/name]. I actually love it with [name]Caroline[/name] - [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Eve[/name] or [name]Eve[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] is too popular for me, with all the Avas out there. I agree with the pps - if you have a short last name, [name]Caroline[/name] may be the best choice, if you have a longer last name, [name]Eve[/name] may be. They’re both lovely, classic and not over used.

I voted [name]Eve[/name], as well! She’s just so simple and charming and utterly perfect, imo. I would love to meet a little [name]Eve[/name], and I love the nn [name]Evie[/name] (which you could just as easily use for [name]Eva[/name]–I just like that [name]Eve[/name] is more simple, less common, and she feels sweeter than [name]Eva[/name] to me. :)). I agree with @dandelion_wine that [name]Eve[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] or [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Eve[/name] would be just stunning!

  1. [name]Caroline[/name]
  2. [name]Eve[/name]
  3. [name]Eva[/name]
  1. [name]Caroline[/name]
  2. [name]Eve[/name]
  3. [name]Eva[/name]

I love [name]Caroline[/name] the best. [name]Eve[/name] would be second and I have never liked [name]Eva[/name] (?) don’t really know why…

[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Eve[/name] would be beautiful!!

Close call between [name]Eve[/name] & [name]Eva[/name] (I voted [name]Eve[/name] though). Biggest deciding factor would be what your surname is, so how it flows together.

I voted [name]Eva[/name].
I dsilike [name]Caroline[/name] by association, and [name]Eve[/name] just doesn’t have the same pizazz. Though, I prefer longer versions with [name]Eva[/name]/[name]Eve[/name] as nicknames. [name]Evangeline[/name], Evallina, [name]Evelyn[/name] etc over the [name]Eve[/name]/[name]Eva[/name] as full names.

I voted for [name]Caroline[/name], but [name]Eve[/name] is a close second for me!

Thanks everyone - I love hearing your thoughts. Our last name is three syllables and begins with a C, so I am not sure about [name]Caroline[/name]! My husband likes the way the two sound together, but I may want [name]Caroline[/name] as the middle name. ??

[name]Eve[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] would be stunning!

[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Eve[/name] with the nickname [name]Evie[/name] more than [name]Eva[/name] with possible nickname [name]Eve[/name]?

I do prefer [name]Eve[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name] over [name]Eva[/name] nn [name]Eve[/name] or [name]Eva[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name], but either is solid : D! I also think with a 3 syllable last name [name]Eve[/name] will work nicely, especially maybe if you want [name]Caroline[/name] in the middle.

I see no reason [name]Eva[/name] couldn’t be [name]Evie[/name] too btw.
