Zay-vee-uhn/en

Is this a real name? How is it spelled? If there are multiple spellings, which do you prefer?

Thanks, friends

I would probably spell it [name_m]Xavian[/name_m], like [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]. Not sure if it has any historical usage as a name but it fits in with whats currently popular/trendy! Maybe [name_m]Zavian[/name_m] as an alternate spelling too.

This was my first thought as well.

I taught a student last year named Zavien and it was pronounced like that! Handsome name.

Zavien could be my instinctive spelling. It sounds real enough

Ah yes, the X spelling makes sense when you put it in the context of [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]. I worry that some might fully pronounce the X though, and the Z spelling would avoid that confusion.

Iโ€™ve also be wondering if it might get pronounced Zah if it starts Zav, rather than Zay if it started Zaiv or Zayv or even Zaev (though I prefer the look of Zav). I supposed [name_m]Damian[/name_m] is spelled without any of those and as far as I know it is always pronounced [name_u]Day[/name_u] not Dah.

I thought [name_m]Zavion[/name_m].

Itโ€™s a real name! Iโ€™d spelt it [name_m]Xavian[/name_m] or [name_m]Zavian[/name_m], but I prefer [name_m]Zavian[/name_m].

Xavion is how the person I knew spelled it (I think)

I actually knew someone from school named [name_m]Zavian[/name_m] (pronounced the way you wrote it out) if that helps
