I really love [name]Leland[/name]. I’ve never heard the name used in real life, but I’ve heard it from the show Twin Peaks. It’s more unusual than [name]Zeke[/name], so it appeals to me stronger. [name]Leland[/name] [name]Richard[/name] sounds really nice.
[name]Leland[/name] feels like one of those underused antique gems. [name]Zeke[/name] is okay, but feels more like a nickname for [name]Ezekiel[/name]. I’d still prefer [name]Leland[/name] over [name]Ezekiel[/name] (though I like [name]Ezekiel[/name] a lot more than [name]Zeke[/name]). If you like four letter names with a ‘z’ [name]Zane[/name], [name]Boaz[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name] are also pretty cool. stand alone options.
While I prefer [name]Zeke[/name] to [name]Leland[/name], [name]Zeke[/name] feels incomplete. [name]Ezekiel[/name] [name]Richard[/name] nn [name]Zeke[/name] would have gotten my vote, but as a stand-alone name, I went with [name]Leland[/name].
I think [name]Leland[/name] softens the middle name. With zeke, I focused more on the harder ch and d of [name]Richard[/name] ; with [name]Leland[/name] I focused more on the r and ar toward the end, if that makes sense at all. Plus, I think [name]Leland[/name] [name]Richard[/name] is more pleasing written out as well - it has the repeating a’s and d’s. I’m assuming [name]Richard[/name] is a family name, but i still have to suggest [name]Leland[/name] zeke! Or
I think [name]Leland[/name] is a really handsome name. I’ve never heard it before, but I’m kind of wondering now if my husband will accept it as an alternative to [name]Roland[/name]. I much prefer it.
Oh, and it sounds great with [name]Richard[/name].
