Zelda

I really really love the name [name]Zelda[/name]! It doesn’t seem as though people are too keen on the name. [name]Will[/name] you please tell me your honest opinion.

I like it. When I hear it, I first think of [name]Zelda[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name] (F. [name]Scott[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name]'s wife) and then I think of the Nintendo game.

I love it, [name]Zelda[/name] is such a great Z!

I like it!

[name]Love[/name] it. and I love the nicknamed Zellie for a baby.

I like [name]Zella[/name] or [name]Zadie[/name] more but [name]Zelda[/name] is still very nice.

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear [name]Zelda[/name] is the Nintendo game. Sorry.

Oh nooooo - not [name]Zelda[/name]! [name]Zelda[/name] is a Nintendo game, and I know an older woman (60s) named [name]Zelda[/name] and she DESPISES her name. Really, truly hates it. Her mother thought it was unique, strong, cool - daughter can’t stand it. So, I say no to [name]Zelda[/name].

I just think of the [name]Legend[/name] of [name]Zelda[/name] video games, and they are NOT going away anytime soon. So unless you are/want other people to think you are a giant Nintendo fan, I think this one’s unusable. Sorry! :o(

Oh, no, I don’t want people to think I’m a video-game junkie!! I think I should start considering dropping it. Thanks!

I like it in spite of the video game reference. Besides that was an awesome game!

I love it!

Thanks for all the feedback everybody!!

Well – at least I’ve never heard of the Nintendo game! But that is small comfort because I’m so far from your child’s peers. Sounds as though they will have heard.
I once knew a [name]Zelda[/name]. She would now be in her '70s perhaps. She defined the name for me, as happens when you only know one. She was – interesting – an artist – but no one for whom I would name a child. She seemed too one-of-a-kind quirky.
Without that association I would think of [name]Zelda[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name] – a mixed blessing. She was the ultimate flapper beauty and F. [name]Scott[/name] turned her into an icon of that perfect life we all imagine must exist somewhere. Brutally, on the other hand, she went crazy and never recovered.
I’m talking myself out of even half-heartedly recommending you pursue this name!

The name reminds me of [name]Zelda[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name], who I love. I’m not sure if I’ll use it, but I’m going to keep it on the list.
