We have thrown out [name]EVERY[/name] name on our girls list in the past week because I just can’t get on board with anything. My husband loves [name]Lucille[/name], I loved it too until I said it a lot, now I just don’t like the way it sounds with our kids names. Not to mention there is no middle name that sounds remotely good with it. We have a boys name picked out… [name]Declan[/name] [name]Caius[/name]… I just wish a girls name would be as easy for us. I just can’t fall in love with anything
Please throw out suggestions.
All of our children have the letter “L” in their names, it was unintentional but I’d like to keep it going as I feel that a name without an “L” would sound weird next to their names.
If we can stay away with names ending the same as the other kids names I’d prefer that but If we love a name enough it won’t really matter. We definitely don’t want names that start with the same letters as our kids names.
No variation of [name]Rose[/name], [name]Amelia[/name] or [name]Ariel[/name].
Our children are [name]Elias[/name] [name]Octavian[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] [name]Daphne[/name].
I appreciate all the suggestions we can get. With only 10 days to go until my due date I’m getting a little stressed.
Here were the first ones to pop into my head: [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Lila[/name], [name]Blair[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Colleen[/name], [name]Natalya[/name], [name]Anabel[/name], [name]Jocelyn[/name], [name]Rosalind[/name]
Well, I see that your children have very gorgeous names, so [name]Mallory[/name] wouldn’t be very good with them all. Now, I have some suggestions for you:
[name]Gem[/name] names with L:
[name]Opal[/name]
[name]Crystal[/name] ([name]Krystal[/name])
[name]Emerald[/name]
Iolite
[name]Pearl[/name]
If you wanted a flower name, you could go with [name]Camille[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Violet[/name], even [name]Lily[/name] or some variations of it would be gorgeous (such as [name]Lillian[/name], or [name]Lilly[/name])
First, your due date is my birthday and it is a great day for a birth! As for names, I like how [name]Lydia[/name] looks with your sibset. Or [name]Scarlett[/name]? You’ve got that novel/heroine vibe going on with the other girls…
[name]Lydia[/name] was actually on our list, but the fact that it starts with L and the other kids have L’s in the middle of their names kinda threw me off.
I like [name]Cecily[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name], but I feel like the s sound of [name]Cecily[/name] is a lot next to [name]Elias[/name] and I wasn’t sure if [name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] sound too similar.
I like [name]Penelope[/name] also, but it’s rising in popularity.
First things first, [name]LOVE[/name] all your kids names. Secondly have you considered [name]Celeste[/name]? or [name]Noelle[/name]? I think those two names look lovely with [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Elias[/name] and [name]Helena[/name]…
Some combo suggestions:
[name]Celeste[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name] [name]Annamarie[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name] [name]Viola[/name]-[name]Mae[/name] (I dont know if you like or dislike two middle names)
[name]Celeste[/name] [name]Agnes[/name]
I like the suggestions of [name]Evangeline[/name], [name]Fleur[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]. [name]How[/name] about [name]Lillian[/name] or [name]Elodie[/name]?
I don’t hear any striking similarity between [name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] except the strong A vowel and the ending -ah. The D and H are suitably different, and the words are stressed differently. However, I do concede they’re somewhat close.
[name]Cecily[/name] and [name]Elias[/name], however, is more of a stretch. [name]Cecily[/name] really seems like a natural fit into your family. [name]Cecily[/name] and [name]Elias[/name] are somewhat palindromes of each other (somewhat) but the order of the sounds is obviously reversed such that it takes a really sharp ear to notice it. If you chose [name]Cecily[/name] each child would have a different ending and starting sound (J-T, [name]EL[/name]-S, H-A, C-EE) but it blends seamlessly in with the other siblings.
The names share a lot of imagery too-- I picture empire-waist dresses, games of croquet and a nice glass of Pimms. This would definitely get my vote.
Possible middles: you would need something like [name]Adelaide[/name], 3+ syllables ending on a consonant sound.
I’m really liking [name]Cecily[/name] now. We want to stick with the somewhat Shakespearean theme we’ve got going so how does [name]Cecily[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] sound?
