10th baby...9th girl!

My husband and I are expecting our tenth, and last, baby in [name]December[/name]. We’ve been saying we wouldn’t find out baby’s sex but we couldn’t resist at the last ultrasound. So we now have 8 daughters, 1 son, and another girl on the way.

I prefer not to repeat any first initial but it’s not a rule that’s written in stone. Our kids’ names are
[name]Zoe[/name] [name]Marie[/name], 15
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], 13
[name]Sophia[/name] [name]Rose[/name], 11 (I love her name but didn’t realize how popular it was. I wish we’d gone with [name]Susannah[/name])
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Mae[/name], 10
[name]Tabitha[/name] [name]Grace[/name], 9
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Lucille[/name], 7
[name]Gemma[/name] [name]Isabel[/name], 5
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Octavia[/name], 4
[name]Levi[/name] [name]James[/name], 1 in a couple weeks

My favorite name right now is [name]Millie[/name]. I also like [name]Dixie[/name] but I get very strange looks when I tell people. I like it for the meaning “ten.” Mn will be [name]Ann[/name] or [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Jane[/name]. Dh doesn’t like either name but hasn’t given a single suggestion! I’m very open to ideas and comments.

Thanks! ~[name]Kyndra[/name]

Your kids have gorgeous names. Without repeating any of their first initials and keeping a similar style, the names I can think of are:

Congrats on baby # 10 and again big compliments on the name choices for babies 1 through 9

By the way, I think [name]Millie[/name] is a great name. [name]Do[/name] you think you’d do [name]Mildred[/name] or [name]Millicent[/name] or just go with [name]Millie[/name] as a formal name?

Wow, 10 kids and they all have great names.
I found a few that mean ten or tenth if you like that meaning.

Kumi - Ten
Ashura - Tenth
[name]December[/name] - Tenth month (I know it’s the 12th but it means tenth)
[name]Decima[/name] - Tenth girl

I also found a place that says [name]Dixie[/name] can be used as a nn for [name]Benedicta[/name].

[name]Matilda[/name] nn [name]Millie[/name] could be cute!

I do love your children’s names! And wow, 9 (almost 10) must be a handful! Hehe.

I think also since you’re eldest child’s inital begins with a Z it could be a cute idea to have the youngest’s begin with an A so you’ve kind of gone full circle!

Best of luck

I think I might be getting burned out on baby names. Thereare so many names I used to love that bore me now. And instead of seeming fun, baby naming is more like a chore now. But of these names, I really love [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Mabel[/name], and maybe [name]Penelope[/name]. I like the idea of a name that means ten, but I don’t like the names. [name]Benedicta[/name] is interesting, though. My oldest daughter wants an A name so we’ll have kids from Z to A. If I can get my hubby to go along with [name]Millie[/name] I’ll probably use [name]Amelia[/name], but I think it’s getting popular like [name]Sophia[/name].

Oh, I lied when I said dh hadn’t suggested anything. He’s stuck on [name]Charlie[/name]. [name]Just[/name] [name]Charlie[/name]. He says he hates [name]Charlotte[/name]. :?

OOOhhh PLEASE name her [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]!!! You could probably get away with using [name]Millie[/name] as a nn, but [name]Tillie[/name] is pretty precious too.

Your kids have gorgeous names!

[name]Millie[/name] would definitely need a full name-- it’s way too cutesy on its own. I’m really, really not a fan of [name]Dixie[/name], especially with such feminine, elegant sister names. With [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Eve[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Tabitha[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Gemma[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Levi[/name], what about:

[name]Camille[/name] (nn [name]Millie[/name])

[name]Matilda[/name] nicknamed [name]Millie[/name] works perfectly with your set, and [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] sounds great. [name]Amelia[/name] is nice too, but you’re right that it could be the next [name]Sophia[/name]. As far as A names other than [name]Amelia[/name], I think [name]Alice[/name] fits extremely well.

A names:

What about [name]Amelie[/name]? It isn’t quite as popular as [name]Amelia[/name] but it is still an “A” name that can have the [name]Millie[/name] nickname.

I love both ideas for how to name the baby girl …[name]How[/name] about…
Asara (tenth day–hebrew) interestingly this satisfies both ideas…“10 and the letter A”

I think that [name]Dorothea[/name] [name]Jane[/name], called [name]Dixie[/name], would be perfect for you, though [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is pretty, too. If you wanted something with an A, I think [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Annora[/name] [name]Kate[/name], or [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be pretty, with [name]Millie[/name] being a natural nickname for [name]Amelia[/name]…
