Year 1: DH takes business trip to Michigan to report on a big story there. I stay at home on my own and have a some time with my girlfriends. I find it lonely in our little apartment without him but I manage

Year 2: I take a business trip and go on tour as a backing dancer for 8 months. I go alone and I have the experience of a lifetime.

Year 4: DH transfers from ‘[name_f]Chicago[/name_f] [name_m]Daily[/name_m] news’ to ‘[name_f]Chicago[/name_f] Tribune’. They transferred because he was made to do far more hours with no raise in pay and he is much much happier in his new job.

Year 5: [name_f]My[/name_f] friend [name_f]Kayla[/name_f] and I go out of town for the day into [name_f]Chicago[/name_f] for her bachelorette party! We go to a bar that we hired for the night and had an amazing time. Her fiancee is her childhood sweetheart [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_u]Paine[/name_u] and they are having a [name_f]Spring[/name_f] wedding.

Year 6: DH and I move into a suburban two-story house in Winnetka with our 3 year old son [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. The house is by the sea and the view is stunning. Our new house is about a half hour drive from our old apartment in downtown [name_f]Chicago[/name_f].

[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] to honor my Jewish heritage and [name_f]Jessalyn[/name_f] as we love its uniqueness and originality. [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] was born on [name_u]January[/name_u] 4th and has straight Blonde hair and light blue eyes. Year 9: [name_f]My[/name_f] sister in law [name_u]Louise[/name_u] (DH’s older sister) comes to stay with our family in Winnetka for the summer as she had to move out of her house which she had shared with her ex-husband until she could find a new house. She stayed for 3 months along with her two sons [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] & [name_u]Charlie[/name_u].

year 10: I achieved one of my life-long goals! I officially opened my own dance studio and started classes for all ages.

Year 11: [name_f]My[/name_f] uncle [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] Brokmann passed away. He was my fathers older brother and we were very close. He was only 63 and it showed me that you should never take life for granted and live every moment to the fullest.

We chose [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] after my mother as the name has significant meaning to me. Year 13: I give birth to twins - A boy and a girl! We name them [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] McArthur & [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. We chose [name_u]Micah[/name_u] because whilst in [name_u]Israel[/name_u], we met a charming waiter who made our stay interesting and relaxing (as I was 6 months pregnant at the time). We immediately fell in love with the name and decided to use it for our son. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] were born on [name_u]December[/name_u] 9th and they both have straight brown hair with blue eyes. 2034: The family move into their dream two-story house! Their new Bath home has a large garden for the children and the dog to play, and has 4 bedrooms meaning that [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] finally have their own rooms!
2035: In a heartbreaking turn of events, [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]’s brother and his wife pass away in a tragic car accident leaving behind 2 children. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and [name_u]Alex[/name_u] offer to adopt 10 year old [name_m]Ralph[/name_m] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m] and 2 year old [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. The couple’s children had mixed reactions to this sudden change. 5 year old [name_m]Grant[/name_m] was very excited to not be the youngest sibling, and also to have a brother! 6 year old [name_f]Elena[/name_f] was a bit worried about the changes that would happen in her home, but was very excited to have a baby sister to care for. 13 year old [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], struggled with this the most. Frances and Malcolm’s child, Emmaline Brielle Keyes, wants to bring home a spotted dog from the pet store. 2008: The Bauers temporarily move to a single-story house in [name_f]Austria[/name_f] for 9 months. [name_f]Ginger[/name_f] comes with them. This move is partially for [name_u]James[/name_u]’s company, and partially to be closer to his grandmother’s side of the family.

2009: Now that they are back in [name_u]America[/name_u], [name_f]Kailani[/name_f] and [name_u]James[/name_u] rescue a mutt from a cruel puppy mill. His name is [name_m]Tripp[/name_m]. [name_f]Ginger[/name_f] is very happy to have a baby brother.

2010: For a second time, the Bauers move temporarily to a different country. They move to Laos, again for [name_u]James[/name_u]’s business. They stay for 5 months in an apartment. This time, [name_f]Ginger[/name_f] and [name_m]Tripp[/name_m] stay with [name_f]Kailani[/name_f]’s family.

2011: [name_f]Kailani[/name_f] gives birth to a baby girl! Her name is [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] [name_m]Bauer[/name_m]. She is born on [name_f]October[/name_f] 26, 2011. She has wavy black hair and blue eyes.

2012: [name_u]James[/name_u] takes another business trip. This time, he goes to [name_f]Canada[/name_f]. [name_f]Kailani[/name_f] and [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] do not accompany him, as [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] is too young and [name_f]Kailani[/name_f] needs to stay home to take care of her and the pets.

2013: The [name_m]Bauer[/name_m] family moves to a new home in their city. It is a two-story townhouse.

2014: The Bauers repaint their townhome and repair the leaky plumbing after [name_u]James[/name_u] gets a promotion, making way more money than before.

Year 3: [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] gets made redundant from his job at the animal sanctuary due to funding cuts. Luckily a contact at other animal sanctuary offers him a job, but with less hours and more pay.
Year 4: It’s twins! [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] & [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Scott[/name_u]. [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]’s mother kept on about how the twins were going to be girls because I kept craving pineapple. She also kept telling me that I shouldn’t pick them up if they cry “out of turn”!
Year 5: We decide to add an en-suite on to our bedroom. [name_f]My[/name_f] only demand was a walk in shower and glittery walls.
Year 6: It’s a boy! [name_m]Brody[/name_m] [name_u]Fox[/name_u]. I truly believed [name_m]Brody[/name_m] was going to be [name_f]Aubree[/name_f]! this pregnancy was completely different to my one with the twins!
Year 7: Sebby & [name_u]Chris[/name_u] find a Pacman Frog in the garden! [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] takes it in to work and places ads around the neighbourhood but no one claims her. The boys really want to her as a pet, so [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] brings her home. They name her [name_f]Gertie[/name_f].
Year 8: [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] & I decide to go on a second honeymoon with the boys. We all spend a week in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] visiting some of [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]’s extended family.
Year 9: It’s a girl! [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]. She decides to make an apperence 3 weeks early while I was reading at our local library! Luckily I managed to get to the hospital in time.
Year 10: [name_f]My[/name_f] friend [name_u]Jodie[/name_u] dies from cervical cancer, because she was only 22 at the start of her symptom’s no one thought to check her for cancer. I decide to help with a campaign to start having smear tests from the age of 16.
Year 11: [name_u]Loki[/name_u] develops bone cancer, and is given only 2 weeks to live. Within days of the prognosis he rapidly goes down hill. One of the vets at [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]’s work offers to come and put [name_u]Loki[/name_u] to sleep at home where he’s safe and comfortable.
Year 12: In a whirlwind of excitement and joy [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] gets asked to work at a new wildlife sanctuary… in [name_u]California[/name_u], US! We sit down and go over the pros and cons… the pros win hands down!
Year 13: The boys all start new after school clubs. Sebby starts [name_u]Drama[/name_u] Club, [name_u]Chris[/name_u] starts Animal Welfare and [name_m]Brody[/name_m] starts [name_m]Art[/name_m] Club.
Year 14: It’s twin girls! [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] & [name_u]Scout[/name_u] [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. I had no idea I was pregnant until I visited [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] at work and a lady from a local reserve put her hand on my stomach and said “They’ll be like [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and Fall but they’ll always be sisters”. I went straight home and took a test!
Year 15: I entered into a contest to design a new Loungefly bag… and I won! They’re going to do a small LE run of my bag! I get the bag, purse and my choice of a any other bag/purse set already in stock.

Everyone involved was upset. In the end, [name_u]Lindsay[/name_u] was able to capture the essence of it on a camcorder, and it became one of their early treasured videos. They adopt a male and call him [name_f]Papillon[/name_f], because they love how the word sounds.

[name_u]Pepper[/name_u] and her group of friends since teenage years go out of town for the day to a nearby city. They take a walk in the park alongside a river and after that they buy candy at a candy shop that’s been there since their childhood. They want to revisit a lot of nostalgic sights and this was the first one.

Year 5: [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and I travel again! I have a business trip in Vancouver. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] has work at home to attend to, so he does not come along. It is a short week long trip and I am beyond happy to be back home with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u].

For weeks, we were wracked with nerves and excitement to find out if we were expecting. She knew we were pregnant and I felt I was too, but to make sure she made an announcement at the party. She brought [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and I up to the stage and said, “[name_u]Ever[/name_u] since [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and I were little, we talked about being pregnant together, what it would be like to raise our kids together and have them be as best of friends as we are. Well, today I stand here pregnant, with a little girl. And you, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] stand here pregnant too!” 5 months later, she delivered baby [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u]. And 3 months after her I gave birth to [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f]’s new best friends. Our son is called [name_m]Kolt[/name_m] [name_m]Boston[/name_m]. After rushing her to the vet, they sadly find out she has an inoperable tumor on her spine. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] cries for a while, but since she’s so small she eventually forgets.

Y7: One day, [name_u]Darren[/name_u] (32) comes home from work with a grey kitten that he found by the dumpster at his work. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (4) is completely enamored and begs her parents to keep it. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] (32) reluctantly agrees. They name her [name_u]Sunny[/name_u].

Y8: The next year, [name_u]Darren[/name_u] (33) finds another kitten: this time it’s a male tabby. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is much happier this time since she’s grown to love [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] over the past year. They decide to let [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (5) name the new kitten, and she decides on Boots.

Y9: Unfortunately, Boots dies the next year because of a disease he picked up as a stray. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (6) is absolutely devastated. She insists that the family holds a funeral for him and bury him in the backyard.

Y10: After [name_u]Darren[/name_u] (35) gets a promotion at work and starts working longer hours, he and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] (35) start getting into frequent arguments. They decide to see a marriage counselor, who helps them work on their communication skills.

This means that [name_f]Julia[/name_f] has to go part-time, which is actually a blessing in disguise. Year One
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] gives birth to a little girl who they name [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Moana[/name_f], in honour of [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]’s mother [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s favourite Disney movie [name_f]Moana[/name_f]. Since [name_f]Amy[/name_f] was two weeks early, [name_f]Annika[/name_f] went into labour whilst giving her last lecture before going on maternity leave! To top it off, as she was waiting in her office for [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] to come pick her up, he got caught in traffic and she nearly gave birth on a pile of unmarked student papers. Luckily, he made it in time and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] was born in the hospital, but it was close between the [name_f]English[/name_f] office and the car. Her birthday is 11th [name_u]February[/name_u], she has beautiful wavy brown hair and green eyes.

Year Two
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] take a weekend trip to Liverpool to attend the wedding of their friends, [name_f]Helena[/name_f] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m]. They decide to leave [name_f]Amy[/name_f] with [name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s parents for the weekend, and have a really great time not having to worry about [name_f]Amy[/name_f] getting over-tired or misbehaving during the ceremony.

Year Three
[name_f]Annika[/name_f], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] move out of their rented flat to a little single-storey cottage on the edge of town. It’s really nice to have their own space, and the garden means that [name_f]Annika[/name_f] can start growing her own vegetables.

Year [name_u]Four[/name_u]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] decide to take a family holiday to Bournemouth! [name_f]Annika[/name_f] used to come here all the time as a child to visit her grandparents, but [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] has never been before. [name_f]Amy[/name_f] loves the sea and building sandcastles, and gets really excited playing mini golf.

Year [name_m]Five[/name_m]
Following their nostalgic holiday last year, [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] decide to move out of their cottage in the [name_u]London[/name_u] suburbs and move to Bournemouth! They buy a one-storey townhouse near the train station so that [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] can continue to commute to work easily.

Year Six
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]’s cousin and his wife unfortunately pass away this year, leaving behind their two children, [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], aged nine, and [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], aged seven. Since [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] live nearby, they offer to take the children in and adopt them as their own. [name_f]Amy[/name_f] isn’t sure about getting new siblings as in one move, she goes from an only child to have two older brothers. [name_f]Annika[/name_f] also has to adapt to working in their bedroom as her study is converted into a bedroom for [name_m]Josiah[/name_m].

Year [name_u]Seven[/name_u]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] gives birth to a baby boy, who they name [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] [name_u]Bryn[/name_u], nicknamed [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. Both [name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]’s parents want to be in the delivery room with [name_f]Annika[/name_f] during [name_m]Ben[/name_m]’s birth as [name_f]Amy[/name_f] was born so quickly that she had been born before anybody knew [name_f]Annika[/name_f] had gone into labour. Since the hospital only allows two support people, [name_f]Annika[/name_f] turns down her mother-in-law’s offer and instead only has her husband and her mother with her. [name_m]Ben[/name_m] enters the world on a sunny late autumn afternoon as he is born on the 28th [name_u]September[/name_u]. He has lovely blue eyes and later grows some straight brown hair, but he is as bald as an egg to begin with!

Year Eight
The Brontes take a family trip to Disneyland [name_u]Paris[/name_u]! It’s [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] and [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]’s first holiday without their parents so although they’re really excited and have a lot of fun, it’s a bittersweet adventure. [name_f]Amy[/name_f] has a brilliant time, and tries to buy all the [name_f]Moana[/name_f] themed items she can lay her hands on in honour of her middle name.

Year [name_f]Nine[/name_f]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s friend [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is getting married! For her hen night, she invites [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and their other friends from university out for a day in [name_u]Brighton[/name_u]. It’s really nice to sit on the beach reminiscing about their wild student days, then go shopping in [name_u]Brighton[/name_u]’s famous Lanes. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] spends the night with [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] before catching the train back to Liverpool the following afternoon.

Year Ten
Now that the children are all getting older, [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] decide to splurge on home modifications and convert their loft into two rooms: their bedroom in one, and [name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s office in the other. This adds a second storey to their house, and allows [name_f]Annika[/name_f] to have an office again to work in at home. It also means that all the kids will have their own bedrooms as [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s old bedroom is now [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]’s bedroom, whilst [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] takes [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]’s old bedroom and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] gets his old room, rather than having to share with [name_m]Ben[/name_m].

Year [name_u]Eleven[/name_u]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] must once again lose her study as it becomes a nursery for their identical twin girls! [name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the family, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Seren[/name_u] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u]-[name_u]Willow[/name_u]! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] receives the middle name [name_u]Seren[/name_u] in honour of [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]’s Welsh heritage, whilst [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]’s first name honours [name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s mother [name_f]Louisiana[/name_f]. Although [name_f]Annika[/name_f] is excited to be welcoming yet more little feet in their house, losing her office space is making work harder as she has no quiet place at home to get on with her writing. To add insult to injury, the additional complications associated with twins means that she has been signed off work two months early, which in turn means that she will miss the annual British Victorian Literature conference which was due to be held in Edinburgh this year. The twins are born on the 10th [name_u]August[/name_u] and have brown, wavy hair and bright blue eyes.

Year Twelve
[name_f]Annika[/name_f]’s younger sister [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] passes away suddenly after suffering a stroke in her sleep. [name_f]Annika[/name_f] is incredibly upset by this event as they had only spoken two hours before [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] went to sleep, as well as the fact that [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] was only just thirty years old. She also becomes paranoid about her health as [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] had no warning signs and was not at a higher risk of a stroke, so she schedules a check-up with her doctor who refers her to bereavement counselling.

Year Thirteen
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] has been begging for a dog for about five years now, and this year [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] relents and gets the family a pet. It’s not a dog though; instead they decide to adopt a pair of rabbits from the local RSPCA shelter in the hope that, given their busy lifestyle, it will be easier to take care of rabbits than a dog. [name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the family, Gadget and [name_m]Gizmo[/name_m]!

Year Fourteen
In the wake of [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]’s death, [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f] realised they still had a lot of love to give as parents and this year their application to adopt was accepted! They adopt a ten-year-old boy named [name_m]Hywel[/name_m] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m].

Year Fifteen
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] gives birth to a baby boy whom they name [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]-[name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], more often known as [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. As [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] are kept in hospital for a few days to make sure everything is okay, the whole family decide to throw a surprise party for her when she arrives home. It is a really great time, but [name_f]Annika[/name_f] is quickly exhausted and goes to bed early, leaving the other children to spend time with their aunts and uncles. It is also one of the first major family events after [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]’s death and her absence is tangible. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] looks a lot like [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]’s other biological children with his straight brown hair and blue eyes. However, he is the only one of their children to have a birthday on a major religious feast day as he is born on the 6th [name_u]January[/name_u], which is the Greek Orthodox [name_u]Christian[/name_u] feast of Theophany, and consequently they name him [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] in honour of this day.

Year 10: [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] re-build their home with the proceeds from [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]’s now bestselling book.
Year 11: [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] decide to enroll [name_u]Ira[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] in a local Montessori school after they realize [name_u]Ira[/name_u] is bored out of his mind in public school.
Year 12: Colby [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ibsen[/name_m] ([name_u]December[/name_u] 1st), light brown wavy hair, gray eyes. [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] misses [name_u]Colby[/name_u]’s birth. He’s sick in bed with pneumonia, so [name_u]Josie[/name_u]’s sister attends the delivery instead.
Year 13: The Ibsens go on vacation to the same part of [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] they lived in six years ago. They spend time with friends and go hiking and swimming with the kids.
Year 14: The Ibsens get a Catahoula leopard dog puppy named [name_u]Bell[/name_u]. [name_u]Ira[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] help train [name_u]Bell[/name_u] as part of their chores.
Year 15: [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] enters a contest to win a date with a famous actor. He wins and has dinner with him in [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_m]York[/name_m] City. They become good friends.
