For everyone 0-45 years old
Every year, roll a [d20] for each individual (my favorite way to do this is to Google “roll 10 d20”).
0-5 years old:
1-4 = passes away
6-10 years old:
1-3 = passes away
11-15 years old:
1-2 = passes away
16+ years old:
1 = passes away
If you roll a 20, a future death roll is negated.
Relationships
Individuals 17+ can get betrothed. Every year, roll a d20.
14-20 = betrothal. The couple will be married the next year.
These rules apply for remarriages.
Births
Every year, roll a [d20] for each married couple 18-40 years old.
14-19: a baby is born
20: twins!
Gender - Roll any dice:
Even: Girl
Odd: Boy
Roll a [d20] for the mother and a [d20] baby.
1: they died during childbirth.
For everyone 46+ years old
The life expectancy during this time was relatively short.
Every year, roll the corresponding dice to the age of each individual.
If you roll a 1, you pass away.
46-50: roll a d12.
51-55: roll a d10.
56-60: roll a d8.
61-65: roll a d6.
66+: roll a d4.
Choose one child/family to be the “heir” of the household you’re playing with. I recommend keeping track of at least two other households in case everyone in your heir line dies.
