some of them are really similar, like [name]James[/name], [name]Jane[/name], [name]Jean[/name], [name]June[/name], [name]Jude[/name], [name]John[/name], I tried to space them pretty far apart so it might not be such a big deal if their names sound alike. I actually didn’t think this was too hard, I guess I really like a lot of J names… and while if I only had two kids, [name]James[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] would be way too close for my liking, if I had 18, it’s pretty much fair game! I feel a little bad for [name]Jex[/name] and [name]Jagger[/name], though.

“J” names typically don’t top my list, although there are a few classics that I love ([name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Jane[/name], for example). But I’ll give it a go!
The only ones I would truly consider though are [name]Jasper[/name], [name]James[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Julius[/name] and [name]Jane[/name].

I wouldn’t personally name all my kids with the same letter. I think its too boring. Also i wouldn’t want all those kids. I love kids, but thats too many!
An advice for parents who want to have many, many children and name them all by names with the same initials: Buy a [name]Baby[/name] Name Bible, buy a good book about baby names and get your ideas from there. [name]Don[/name]'t go just for whatever comes on top of your mind.
18 ‘J’ names would be extremely difficult. At least they didn’t go down the alphabet! From A to Z, my 26 children would be named…girls then boys for each letter.

I watch their show and although I see the point about some of the things they do/believe being a little… out there, it’s obvious their intentions are good and they love each other and all of their children very much.
They have so many because they believe children are God’s blessings and they will have as many as He gives them. I wonder if menopause will hold off for her since her uterus is almost constantly in use??? I’m really interested to see if they make it to 20.
The house is a monster, and the introduction to the show says that they live on the income from several commerical properties and other ventures. They don’t use credit cards or have loans or anything like that.
Saw online this morning that the oldest son is going to name his daughter Mackynzie. Sigh. Kreeatyve spelling. Guess it should be expected if he grew up with a sister named [name]Jinger[/name], but still…

Wouldn’t it be very confusing yet alone to have 17 kids all with J names, but have johannah AND joy-[name]Anna[/name] AND joseph?? i think they could hav found better names that didnt sound alike… johannah and joy-anna??please…
I’ve seen the show also - in particular the episodes where, as a family, they build the monster house themselves!!! Because they are all home schooled, it becomes one of their projects. It’s a huge house and even has a slide from the bedrooms upstairs (which are actually two big dorm rooms - one for the girls and one for the boys).
The scariest thing is they interviewed one of the younger girls and she said “when I grow up I want to have lots of babies, just like Mummy.” There are going to be hundreds of Duggars before long!!!
