2 positives are probably not a mistake, right?

Ok, so I am a week late and I took a HPT early this morning and it was positive, then I took one at about 1 in the afternoon today and it was also positive. So it’s probably safe to say it’s not lying…
I have in the past missed my periods and taken tests and they have always been negative and then Aunt [name]Flo[/name] comes like the next day. I was pretty much expecting it to be negative again, but it wasn’t- twice… The other thing is my chest has been killing me for like a week and a half to two weeks- way worse than normal my period is coming soreness. It’s my boyfriend’s birthday today so I was going to tell him tonight when he gets home. Think I’m safe to tell him?? I’m 27 and it’s not planned but we were not exactly doing anything to prevent it from happening, one of those if it happens, it happens kind of things. He has two daughters from his first marriage and it’s his 31st birthday today, I thought it might be a good birthday present for him. [name]Just[/name] wondering what other people did when they found out, this would be my first btw. And I had to tell someone but not any of my friends or facebook or anything…so i decided to come on here.

Congratulations! You can get a false negative but not a false positive so you are pregnant! A cute way to tell him would be to put the preg test stick inside a hotdog bun. Put it in the oven and then ask him to get something out of the oven for you. See how long it takes for him to figure out that there is a bun in the oven. Good luck!

Yeah two + pregnancy tests are probably not mistakes. This has always been enough for me! Congratulations!

I told him by giving him a birthday present. I bought a onesie that said I love dancing with my daddy, its for a little girl I figured it was a better chance because, He has two girls. But knowing my luck it will be a boy now… either way, as long as its healthy ill be happy. Now I get to start thinking names! Any suggestions are great. I tend to get stuck in a rut.

Congrats!!! Telling him on his birthday was a really nice idea! What was his reaction?

He got a big smile on his face and started laughing a little and then gave me a big hug. He was happy and excited.
