2020: [name_m]Just[/name_m] a year after their beautiful wedding, [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] and [name_u]Niall[/name_u] welcome a son, [name_u]Connor[/name_u] [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] [name_m]Byrnes[/name_m]. Their entire family is thrilled.

2021: To add to the happiness, the [name_m]Byrnes[/name_m] find out they are having twin girls. They are named Ailey [name_f]Caoimhe[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Deidre[/name_f]. Their one year old brother, [name_u]Connor[/name_u], is excited to have siblings.

2022: Surprise! The [name_m]Byrne[/name_m] family isn’t complete yet. [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] has [name_f]Eithne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], who is born premature and with a cleft palate. She has corrective surgery that is mildly successful, though her family leaves her options over for further treatment later.

2023: The [name_m]Byrne[/name_m] family takes a small cruise ship off the coast of [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]. The kids meet lots of their peers, and their parents take a much needed vacation from their 4 under 4.

2024: Another daughter for the [name_m]Byrnes[/name_m]! [name_f]Ida[/name_f] [name_u]Flannery[/name_u] is born with Spina Bifida. Although at first [name_f]Ida[/name_f]'s disability poses a challenge for the young family, they take it in stride and improve their house to accommodate the wonderful new addition.

2025: [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] is surprised to find out she is having yet another daughter. [name_u]Connor[/name_u], the brother, and sisters Ailey, [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eithne[/name_f], and [name_f]Ida[/name_f] are excited to welcome [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] Kinonah [name_m]Burke[/name_m].

2031: Turns out that the Toyota [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] wasn’t quite big enough for the [name_m]Byrnes[/name_m]’ growing family. They purchase a Hyundai i800, a spacious van that can hold 8 people.

2032: [name_u]Niall[/name_u] surprises [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] with a trip to a hotel in the Scottish Highlands! They only stay a weekend, but spending time a whole country away is a much needed break from life with nine kids.

2033: One of [name_f]Bridie[/name_f]'s close friends, [name_f]Ann[/name_f], tells her that she’s pregnant. [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] supports her, prepares her to have her child, and helps ease the difficulties of being a single mother. 2034: [name_u]Niall[/name_u] heads to the doctor with abdominal pain and finds out he needs to get his gallbladder removed.

2035: After [name_f]Bridie[/name_f]‘s sister, [name_f]Maura[/name_f], leaves her son [name_u]Rian[/name_u] at the [name_m]Byrnes[/name_m]’ for them to babysit him without asking first, [name_u]Niall[/name_u] gets into an argument with her. After some angry discussion, the two don’t talk for almost six months until [name_f]Maura[/name_f] agrees to ask before dropping her son off.

2036: The [name_m]Byrne[/name_m] family isn’t complete yet! [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] gives birth to a healthy baby boy, named [name_u]James[/name_u] “[name_u]Jamie[/name_u]” [name_m]Teague[/name_m] [name_m]Byrne[/name_m].

2037: Since the family van isn’t easy to drive, [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] and [name_u]Niall[/name_u] decide to get a second car, a Volkswagen Tiguan.

2038: 9 year old [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] is diagnosed as gifted! The [name_m]Byrnes[/name_m] are very proud of her, and enroll her in special programs to challenge her abilities.

2039: Nearly 20 years after their wedding, [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] and [name_u]Niall[/name_u] head back to Aviemore, [name_f]Scotland[/name_f], this time with the whole family, to renew their vows. They don’t make a big show of it, but it ends up being a beautiful ceremony.

2009: We are shocked to be pregnant so soon after our last little boy but have waited 5 years for our family and are overjoyed. We call him [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Connelly[/name_u].
2010: Our car dies. We know we want to add to our family with some more biological children and we also want to adopt some children. We get a 10-seater minivan.
2011: We adopt a 3 year old girl called [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] Poole. She was born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, addicted to opioids. She has been left with some deafness and now wears hearing aids. After adopting her, we change her name to [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]Connelly[/name_u].
2012: [name_u]Harry[/name_u] has a major argument with his younger step brother [name_u]Liam[/name_u] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] Hargreaves, who is 22. [name_u]Harry[/name_u] caught him with class A drugs at our house and was furious, especially after seeing the effects it has had on [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. [name_u]Liam[/name_u] is now on a drug rehabilitation programme and we don’t leave him alone with our children.
2013: [name_u]Harry[/name_u] gets his gallbladder removed. Thankfully the surgery goes well and he is not left with any side effects.
2014: We adopt a 4 week old baby girl called [name_u]Lexi[/name_u] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] Poole. She is [name_f]Freya[/name_f]’s biological sister and has also been born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. She had to stay in hospital for the first 4 weeks of her life, suffering with drug withdrawal. We don’t know the full effects of her condition yet. After adopting her, we change her name to [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_u]Connelly[/name_u].
2015: We were not planning on having a baby so soon after adopting [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], especially with her and her sister’s additional needs but are ecstatic to find out we are pregnant again and have a healthy baby girl called [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
2016: [name_u]Harry[/name_u] gets a promotion to an IT Sales Executive.
2017: [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is diagnosed with Level 1 Autism. She also has mild epilepsy, due to her condition and her eyesight has been affected too so she now wears glasses.
2018: We renovate our kitchen and dining room into a large, open plan space for our family.

christopher and mckenna tarellet

2020: christopher breaks his arm skiing while on the couple’s honeymoon. they return home early but nonetheless had a great time.

2021: the tarrellets welcome a son, christopher thomas jr, who they call kit. he is born with deafness in one ear, but he is otherwise healthy, and chris and kenna learn ASL to help him eventually integrate into both the hearing and nonhearing communities

2022: soon after kit is born, kenna finds out she is pregnant again, this time with twins! rosemary “rosie” anne and remulus “remy” luke are born healthy, and the tarrellets have their hands full with 3 under two.

2023: one day, kenna comes home from work to find that chris has hired a babysitter and planned a trip for the two of them to his family’s cottage in the Adirondack mountains! they have a wonderful time and a nice respite from their busy lives.

2024: another pair of twins for the tarrellets! clementine “clem” sophie and theodora “thea” june are born early but healthy.

2025: chris and kenna take up watching and reviewing movies together in their very limited free time. they happily get into heated debates on ones that they disagree vehemently on.

2026: playing on the playground, kit breaks his collarbone. he is very upset at first, but gets to wear a sling that he can show off to all of his friends.

2027: chris and kenna find out that they are having yet another daughter! kit, rosie, remy, clem, and thea are joined by margaret “meg” may, born healthy.

2028: chris gets into a major argument with kenna’s sister kathryn when she suggests that the pair stop having children. ultimately, kathryn realizes that her comment was unwarranted and apologizes.

2029: the old subaru dies, and the tarrellets need a new car! they decide on a volkswagen atlas, because it has plenty of room for all six kids (and their car seats).

2030: chris and kenna decide it’s time for the kids to meet chris’s family in surrey, england. they all pack onto a plane and successfully make it into the uk, staying with their family their for two weeks.

2031: shortly after their visit in 2030, chris’s father has a heart attack and dies at the age of 77. the family is devastated, but chris and kenna are grateful that the kids got to meet him before he died.

2032: a bright spot is returned to the tarrellets’ lives with the arrival of another baby girl! healthy philippa “pippa” kate is born, her name honoring chris’s late father philip.

2033: chris’s younger brother charlie asks to move into the family’s connecticut home. he’s hoping to get his doctorate in politics at yale, and the family obliges, despite charlie’s college boy ways.

2034: charlie is dating around when he finds out one of the women he’d been with is having a baby. he desperately asks chris and kenna to take in the child, and, while they discuss it at length, they ultimately adopt the baby, a boy. ephraim daniel is born with his father’s colorblindness but is otherwise healthy, and chris and kenna’s bio kids accept their cousin into the family happily.

2035: kenna is feeling really unwell for several months and goes to the doctor to see what is wrong. she is diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which luckily is treatable, and she goes back to feeling better soon.

2036: the tarrellets welcome their third set of twins, a healthy boy/girl pair whom they name alastair “allie” henry and katherine “kitsy” marie.

2037: kenna finds out she is having another boy, bringing their total to 11 children. heath andrew is born with the same congenital hearing loss that his brother kit was born with.

2038: kenna has a miscarriage at 8 weeks near the end of july. while this is a difficult loss for her to bear, she has so many blessings that comfort the family through the tragedy.

2039: chris and kenna decide they need a new car to fit all of their children. they decide on a range rover with plenty of room for all of their family adventures.

2040: just one more set of twins for the tarrellet family! emmeline “emmy” clara and charlotte “charlie” daisy are born happy and healthy. charlotte’s namesake, uncle charlie, is thrilled to meet the youngest member of the family, and the two remain very close through charlotte’s life.

2006: [name_u]Tony[/name_u] and [name_f]Beth[/name_f]’s brother, [name_u]Brett[/name_u] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] Cardella, get in their own argument, and [name_f]Beth[/name_f] and [name_u]Tony[/name_u] have their own holiday celebration at home, again.

2007: [name_f]Erica[/name_f] is diagnosed with autism, and begins attending therapies.

2009: [name_u]Tony[/name_u] has some work-related travel. He goes by himself, and is gone for 10 weeks out of the year.

2010: [name_f]Beth[/name_f] gives birth to twins, a healthy son named [name_u]Jace[/name_u] [name_m]Derek[/name_m], and a healthy daughter named [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] [name_f]Kendra[/name_f].

2011: [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is diagnosed with anxiety, and undergoes therapeutic treatment.

2012: The family decides to adopt a pet, a chocolate lab they name [name_f]Cocoa[/name_f].

2013: [name_u]Tony[/name_u]’s niece, [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] Chuong, is pregnant and needs a place to stay. [name_u]Tony[/name_u] connects her with [name_f]Beth[/name_f]’s friend [name_f]Amy[/name_f], who lets [name_f]Laura[/name_f] stay with her after her baby is born.

2014: [name_u]Tony[/name_u] gets a promotion! The whole family celebrates with a catered dinner.

2015: [name_u]Tony[/name_u] and [name_f]Beth[/name_f] welcome a healthy baby daughter into their home through foster-adoption. [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Kinley[/name_f] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]’s adoption is finalized in [name_u]June[/name_u].

2016: [name_u]Tony[/name_u] & [name_f]Beth[/name_f] renew their vows in front of their extended family. [name_m]Mark[/name_m] gets his aunts and uncles to pitch in to give [name_u]Tony[/name_u] & [name_f]Beth[/name_f] a weekend away.

2017: [name_u]Tony[/name_u]’s job requires him to travel again this year, and he’s away from the family for 7 weeks total.

2019: The entire family takes a trip to Vancouver.
