Not content with the level of chaos they have, they also get a second Bullmastiff puppy whom they name [name_f]Molly[/name_f].

[name_f]Erin[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] conceive again this year but [name_f]Erin[/name_f] unfortunately miscarries at the end of the first trimester. [name_f]Erin[/name_f] takes up dressmaking and although she isn’t brilliant, she enjoys the challenge of making unique clothes for the children.

Year Six

[name_f]Erin[/name_f]’s parents give [name_u]Theo[/name_u] a strawberry lollipop whilst he’s out with them for the day, and he has an allergic reaction! Luckily, he suffers no serious side-effects but [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is no longer allowed to have strawberries.

[name_f]Erin[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] conceive a child this year but [name_f]Erin[/name_f] miscarries. [name_f]Nine[/name_f] months later, she unexpectedly gives birth to a baby boy! Turns out, she had been pregnant with twins but the second had been hidden and unharmed. [name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the world, [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Joshua[/name_m]!

Year Eight

Year Fifteen

Since [name_f]Molly[/name_f] the Bullmastiff passed away a few years ago, the family decide to buy another puppy to keep [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] company. He’s a [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] named [name_u]Shadow[/name_u].

Year Sixteen
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] finds [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]’s award for painting and gets inspired to take it up herself. Her paintings aren’t very good, but she enjoys herself! [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] really enjoys her paintings and uses them to encourage and inspire the primary school children he works with.

Year Seventeen
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] welcome identical twin girls! [name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the family, [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]! [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] gets another raise, helping them to keep the children fed and sheltered.

Year Eighteen
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] miscarries a baby this year. She also unexpectedly gives birth to a daughter nine months later! As with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]’s birth, [name_f]Erin[/name_f] had no symptoms of pregnancy after her miscarriage, masking the little girl’s existence. Year Nineteen
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] takes up gardening this year to encourage herself to get more fresh air. It also helps the children learn about nature and science. It’s really exciting when they feast on [name_f]Erin[/name_f]’s first harvest of carrots, peas and potatoes!

Year Twenty

2001: Our first daughter, Aurelia Maeve Masters, was born on January 21st! Quincy was so excited to meet her. Delilah officially finishes her Ph.D. and becomes a part-time professor at the College of the Atlantic. Quincy turned 6 on December 13th.

2002: After 3 years with him, we officially adopted our son on May 19th! His name is officially Quincy Grant Masters! Delilah has taken up bookbinding and making little books to sell on Etsy. Quincy loves having little books to draw in and likes to help, but I leave it to them because I’m not a fan of paper cuts. Aurelia turned 1, and Quincy turned 7 this year!

2003: The same social worker that matched us with Quincy back in '99 reached out to us about a baby girl in the area. The mother was seeking a closed adoption and after a lot of shuffling papers, we can say that Ruby Elisa Masters legally became our daughter on August 21st! She was only five months old! We also moved into our first home in June! It has a real backyard and is just outside Bar Harbor. Each kid has their own bedroom with one to spare! This year Quincy turned 8 and Aurelia turned 2.

2004: Our third baby girl, Skye Eloise Masters, was born on Valentine’s day! We love her immensely. We also adopted our calico cat, Sprinkles, in December just before Christmas. She’s 2 years old and seems to get along pretty well with the kids. This year Quincy turned 9, Jezebel turned 6 on July 18th, Aurelia turned 3, and Ruby turned 1 on May 12th.

2005: After being placed in our home last year, Quincy’s biological sister Jezebel Audrey Masters had her gotcha day on Christmas Day 2005! We love our Jezzy so much! We also adopted our white 3-year-old husky Coco. He has a lot of energy, but can be super sweet! This year Quincy turned 10 (double digits!), Jezebel turned 7, Aurelia turned 4, Ruby turned 2, and Skye turned 1.

2006: The twins are here! Wesley Ronan Masters and Oona Brigid Masters came into the world on June 25, 2006. This is the year I officially got my teaching license and started teaching 2nd grad in the fall. Jezebel is sad she couldn’t have me as her teacher but I’m glad we avoided that. Don’t know what we’ll do when Auri gets that age, she just started kindergarten. Delilah is taking a semester off work next year to stay home with Ruby, Skye, and the twins. This year Quincy turned 11, Jezzy turned 8, Aurelia turned 5 and started kindergarten, Ruby turned 3, and Skye turned 2.

2007: After struggling with the birth mother for years on and off, Ruby’s older sister Zinnia Joule is in our lives at 7 years old on September 12th, and it seems like she’s finally here to stay. It’s been great getting to know her. I think our family is finally complete. Delilah has stopped her work at the university and we decided to move off Mount Desert Island. I’m really going to miss it here, but we need more space. We moved to Biddeford and it seems to suit our needs so far. This year, Quincy turned 12, Jezebel turned 9, Zinnia turned 8 on October 16th, Aurelia turned 6, Ruby turned 4, Skye turned 3, and Wes and Oona turned 1.

2008: We moved back to MDI! I’m currently looking for a job, but Delilah is back at the Atlantic. This time we’re in Bar Harbor itself. We have less space but are glad to be back home. This year, Quincy turned 13, Jezebel turned 10 (double digits!), Zinnia turned 9, Aurelia turned 7, Ruby turned 5 and started kindergarten, Skye turned 4, and Wes and Oona turned 2. D and I both had our 40th birthdays this year.

2009: Zinnia got glasses this year, which she seems indifferent about, but Ruby is constantly stealing them to try them on. She’s a real dramatic kid. This year, Quincy turned 14, Jezebel turned 11, Zinnia turned 10 (double digits!), Aurelia turned 8, Ruby turned 6, Skye turned 5 and started kindergarten, and Wes and Oona turned 3 and started preschool. We’re all in work and school!

2010: I once said I thought our family was complete, but life is always full of surprises. Eve Adeline Masters was born March 2nd, 2010, and she is a light in our lives. Wes and Oona are jealous of the attention, but we’re all getting used to having a baby in the house again. This year Quincy turned 15 and started high school!, Jezzy turned 12, Zinnia turned 11, Aurelia turned 9, Ruby turned 7, Skye turned 6, and Wes and Oona turned 4.

2011: We’re working on redoing our home to update the decor and add an additional bedroom. It’s going… chaotically? It’s taking a while, but I think we’re here to stay so we might as well make the house our own. Quincy turned 16, Jez turned 13, Zinnia turned 12, Aurelia turned 10 (double digits!), Ruby turned 8, Skye turned 7, Wes and Oona turned 5 and started kindergarten, and Eve turned 1.

2012: D and I never got a honeymoon, so this July we decided to take the opportunity to vacation in Thailand for 10 days, home in time for Jez’s birthday. The kids stayed with their grandparents, who said they were good, but I know they were a handful (there’s 9 of them!) Sometimes I worry Jezebel and Quincy have to act as second parents to the younger ones when we’re not there, but we are very involved parents. Idk, it’s a process. This year Quincy turned 17, Jezebel turned 14 and started high school, Zinnia turned 13, Aurelia turned 11, Ruby turned 9, Skye turned 8, Wesley turned 6, Oona turned 6, and Eve turned 2.

2013: Jezebel has been very active on her school’s soccer team, and we have been loving going to all her games! Wes and Oona started playing soccer this year too, I feel like our minivan is a bus, haha. This year Quincy turned 18 (he’s all grown up! and applied to college!), Jezebel turned 15, Zinnia turned 14, Aurelia turned 12, Ruby turned 10 (double digits!), Skye turned 9, Wesley turned 7, Oona turned 7, and Eve turned 3.

2014: Welp. We now officially own a bearded dragon. His name is Spike, and he is spikey. The kids love him. I’m still getting used to the sound of the crickets. This year Quincy graduated from high school! We’re so proud! He also is officially University of New England Environmental Science class of 2018! This year Quincy turned 19, Jezebel turned 16, Zinnia turned 15 and started high school, Aurelia turned 13, Ruby turned 11, Skye turned 10 (double digits!), Wesley turned 8, Oona turned 8, and Eve turned 4.

2015: In April I found Eve breathing heavy and broken out in hives. She’s allergic to peanuts. Go figure. Oona is bemoaning the loss of peanut butter products in our house, but everyone else seems to be dealing alright with it. I already called the school and they say they deal with this all the time. They don’t serve anything with nuts. It’s all good. Quincy is entering his sophomore year at UNE and switched his major to environmental studies rather than science. I don’t know the difference, apparently there’s less math involved. D knows more than I do. This year Quincy turned 20, Jezebel turned 17 (and applied to college!), Zinnia turned 16, Aurelia turned 14 and started high school, Ruby turned 12, Skye turned 11, Wesley turned 9, Oona turned 9, and Eve turned 5 and started kindergarten.

2016: Ruby got glasses this year, which I find funny after she was constantly stealing Zinnia’s. She was excited to pick out the colors and wears them all the time now. Jezebel graduated high school this year, and is now officially a UMaine student (yay in state tuition!). She’s a class of 2020 English major! This year Quincy turned 21, Jezebel turned 18, Zinnia turned 17, Aurelia turned 15, Ruby turned 13, Skye turned 12, Wesley and Oona turned 10 (double digits!), and Eve turned 6.

2017: This year I officially moved from teaching 2nd grade to teaching grade to teaching fifth grade at a different school campus. That means Skye, Wes, Oona and Eve all have to start taking the bus instead of me driving them. They’ve missed it a couple times, but I think they’re getting the hang of it! Skye says Eve has full conversations with the bus driver every day. This year Quincy turned 22, Jezebel turned 19, Zinnia turned 18 (and now she’s applying to colleges!), Aurelia turned 16, Ruby turned 14 and started high school, Skye turned 13, Wesley and Oona turned 11, and Eve turned 7.

2018: I got a much needed promotion at work! I’m now the language arts coordinator at the school. Zinnia graduated high school, and has decided to attend Northern Maine Community College and study nursing! We’re so proud! Quincy graduated college this year, and looks like we’ll have two more college grads in 2020! Quincy is currently looking for a job, he wants to work in renewable energy. Quincy turned 23, Jezebel turned 20, Zinnia turned 19, Aurelia turned 17 (and I think we’re finally getting good at this college application thing), Ruby turned 15, Skye turned 14 and started high school, Wesley and Oona turned 12, and Eve turned 8. Delilah and I also both turned 50 this year.

2019: Aurelia graduated high school, and got a FULL RIDE to Smith College (so far away!). They plan on studying Gender and sexuality studies. But the campus is beautiful. We’re so proud of her! This year Quincy turned 24, Jezebel turned 21, Zinnia turned 20, Aurelia turned 18, Ruby turned 16, Skye turned 15, Wesley and Oona turned 13, and Eve turned 9.

2020: Despite the pandemic, we are alive. After our (amazing) trip to Disney World during spring break, the world shut down. Ruby has applied to college despite not knowing what the world might look like next year. Everyone did school remotely March-December, with everyone being home until Aurelia moved back to campus in the fall semester. Jezebel and Zinnia both graduated, but neither had an in person ceremony. It’s starting to feel like this is our new normal. This year Quincy turned 25 (he can rent a car!), Jezebel turned 22, Zinnia turned 20, and is headed to UMaine, Aurelia turned 19, Ruby turned 17, Skye turned 16, Wesley and Oona turned 14 and started high school, and Eve turned 10 (our baby is double digits!)

Y8: With their family growing, [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] decide to turn their unfinished basement into a bedroom! Since it’s quite large, they move [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] into the new bedroom since they love sharing a room. The extra two existing bedrooms become a guest room and a play room for the kiddos, but [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] hope that some new siblings may come along for at least one of the rooms!
Y9: [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] gives birth to twins again, this time both boys! The first twin has straight light brown hair and light blue eyes. She figures it’s something fun to do, and the kids enjoy it as well (with kid-friendly materials, of course). [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is especially interested and years later [name_m]Travis[/name_m] jokes that this is what started her in her love for fashion.
Y11: [name_m]Travis[/name_m] decides to try an write a book! He’s always wanted to but figured that there’s no time like the present to start. It takes him several years, but he does eventually finish. He tries half-heartedly to get it published, but no published bites.
Y12: [name_m]Ben[/name_m] has always loved animals, and recently began asking for a pet cat. [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] decide that it would be a goof thing for the family and agree. They all go to the shelter and find an older brown tabby named [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] who is friendly with the kids and quite calm. They take her home that day!
Y13: After thinking about it a lot, [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] decide to adopt. They end up finding a young woman named [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] in the area who would like to have an open adoption and loves the idea of her baby growing up with brothers and sisters. She gives birth to a beautiful baby boy with straight black hair and dark brown eyes. [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] name him [name_u]Jack[/name_u] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] [name_m]Jenkins[/name_m], with his middle name honoring his birth mother.
Y14: Kaylee’s youngest sister [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] is getting married. She asks [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] to be one of her bridesmaids, and she of course agrees. CJ and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are the flower girls as well!
Y15: [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] unexpectedly gives birth to a baby girl! She has straight light brown hair and hazel eyes. Y16: [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] sees an opening at a new accounting firm for almost 20,000 dollars more than her current salary. On a whim, she applies. After a semi-grueling interview process, she snags the job! She and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] are both over the moon!
Y17: [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], getting more skilled at jewelry making, decides to also start knitting! None of her kids really get into it, but they love that she can make them warm hats and scarves!

Year 1: We had a miscarriage on our first try, it was too early in the pregnancy to know the gender, so we had no name picked out. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] gets a promotion, I’m very proud of him.
Year 2: We have a little girl, she has blue eyes and gorgeous light brown hair. We name her [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], after my mother-in-law.
Year 3: I decide to change my career to a Kindergarten teacher. We celebrate Trinity’s first birthday by getting her an orange tabby kitten, we name her [name_u]Pumpkin[/name_u].
Year 4: We have another beautiful daughter, she has blue eyes and dark brown hair. We name her [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f], [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is my mom’s name and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is the name of my aunt.
Year 5: We decide to move to a bigger home since we have two daughters now. It has two bedrooms so the girls sleep together. We decided not to move out of the city, just into a bigger house.
Year 6: We have our first baby boy! He has black hair like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and blueish-green eyes. We name our son [name_m]Jaxton[/name_m] “Jax” [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] after his father of course!
Year 7: We unexpectedly have a baby boy, he has blue eyes and brown hair! He was so unexpecting that we didn’t have a name in time and he was nameless for 4 days! In the end, we named him [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] after his dad like [name_m]Jax[/name_m]
Year 8: I start a garden, my girls love helping me too. We plant lots of vegetables and they really enjoy eating the veggies after, even the boys love eating them too!
Year 9: We found out that [name_m]Jaxton[/name_m] has an allergy to bumblebees after he is stung by one. It didn’t hurt him too badly, but it left a rash for a few days after he was stung.
Year 10: We adopted a little 3-year-old girl named [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] [name_f]Amanda[/name_f], she has brown eyes and blonde hair she fits right in with our other kids! She is the same age as [name_u]Nico[/name_u] too.
Year 11: We have another miscarriage, we found out it was a boy before he died, his name would’ve been [name_m]Jamin[/name_m] [name_u]Kai[/name_u], our kids really wanted another sibling too. We decide to get a pet mouse named Cheesie in replace of our miscarriage.
Year 12: We take our family to [name_u]South[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u] for the week and learn about [name_u]South[/name_u] American culture, we have a fun time there and bring souvenirs back home with us.
Year 13: We decide to get our kids another cat, we name him [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m], he is a 2-year-old black tabby.
Year 14: We have a baby girl! She has blue eyes and black hair and we name her [name_f]Emmalie[/name_f] “Emma” [name_f]Joy[/name_f] after me which is the same name, just spelled differently.
Year 15: We sign [name_m]Jaxton[/name_m] and [name_u]Nico[/name_u] up for diving at their school. They have so much fun and they love to swim
Year 16: [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] gets her driver’s permit and she is a very careful driver so I know she is going to pass the test for sure. [name_f]My[/name_f] parents move closer to us so they can see their grandkids a lot more.
Year 17: We have another miscarriage, we are bummed, but we still decide to try again cause we know we want one more before we get too old.
Year 18: We have beautiful girl/boy twins! We name them [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Fox[/name_u] [name_u]Mason[/name_u]! They are identical and have green eyes and brown hair.
Year 19: [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and I go on our 19 year anniversary! We go to [name_f]Asia[/name_f] for 2 weeks while my parents watch our kids. We have a great time and learn so many new things about their culture.
Year 20: [name_m]Jaxton[/name_m] and [name_u]Nico[/name_u] win a medal for their swim team! I’m very proud of them, we hang their medal on the trophy case!
