3 syllable name to go with 2 sisters...

Looking for ideas/feedback on names to go with our two daughters: [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] (nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f] prn eh-vee) and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Midge[/name_f]). Last name starts with S and is two syllables.

I think I’d like to stick with the pattern of three syllables for the first name followed by a short middle, but I’m not adamant. Here are the combos I like at the moment (middles chosen for family significance):

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] or [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rita[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] Merit (don’t love the nn [name_f]Addy[/name_f], but one of my favorite relatives was named [name_f]Adeline[/name_f])

Do you like any of these? (middles are interchangeable) Any other 3 syllable names you think would work with our daughters?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
Thank you!

On its own I love [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] with the other two sisters names, but with last name starting with an S I do not love the initials.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is an evergreen name and very good combo with the others, would prefer [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] in the middle over [name_f]Rita[/name_f] though.

Other options
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (as [name_f]Midge[/name_f] is not using the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] bit of her name every day), nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] mixes nicely with nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f], nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] / [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]

Most can by combined with your middles [name_f]Rita[/name_f]/[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]/[name_u]June[/name_u]

[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] - It is 3 syllables and has the same meaning as [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. It is similar to the meaning of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] as well.
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] nn [name_f]Miri[/name_f], [name_f]Mitzi[/name_f], [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] or [name_f]Mim[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] goes well (nn [name_f]Mady[/name_f], [name_f]Mady[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]). I also love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but don’t love it with [name_f]Rita[/name_f]… [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? I love [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] for a middle

Scratch that. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] is too close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. What about [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f]?

Thank you for your suggestions! I love them all. [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] was in the top 3 names for [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], but ultimately I thought it sounded a bit too religious. I might come around to it again, though. I love the nn [name_f]Miri[/name_f].
Any [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name is out because our niece is [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] are out, too.

I second [name_f]Miriam[/name_f].
Also [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] sound lovely.
Other ideas:

I love [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. Surprisingly I just adore [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] with your daughters, despite my usual aversion from [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. And I agree with strawberry that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] works better than [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rita[/name_f].

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f], nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_u]Mattie[/name_u]. There are probably other out there, but those I think are the most common ones.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] / [name_f]Louise[/name_f], nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], [name_u]Lou[/name_u]…
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f], nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f]/a.
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], nn [name_u]Izzy[/name_u], [name_f]Belle[/name_f]…

Well, those are what I can thin of my mind… My favorite is probably [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], but it may be a bit too trendy for you, otherwise my favorite is [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], mainly because of the nickname [name_f]Lulu[/name_f].

My favorite of your options is [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] with the nn [name_f]Sosie[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] Merit, but think [name_f]Addy[/name_f] names are getting far too popular. You could maybe call her [name_f]Lina[/name_f]/[name_f]Lena[/name_f]/[name_u]Del[/name_u]/[name_f]Della[/name_f]? Other thoughts:

[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] ([name_f]Gin[/name_f]/[name_f]Ginny[/name_f])
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] ([name_f]Coco[/name_f])
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] ([name_f]Hattie[/name_f]/[name_f]Etta[/name_f])
[name_f]Luella[/name_f] Merit ([name_f]Lu[/name_f]/[name_f]Lulu[/name_f]/[name_f]Lula[/name_f])
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] ([name_f]Tilly[/name_f])
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] ([name_u]Romy[/name_u])
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

My favorite: [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Luella[/name_f] Merit ([name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Midge[/name_f], and [name_f]Lula[/name_f])

Isn’t [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] 4 syllables → feh-lih-sih-tee

With [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] I really like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]–another vowel and it has a similar feel. And Merit is such a pretty mn.

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is very pretty as well, if a bit N heavy
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rita[/name_f] is nice. I just heard about a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] who goes by [name_u]Caro[/name_u] (rhymes with arrow) and I thought that was neat.

Other 3 syllable names that might work:

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] ([name_f]Lily[/name_f])
[name_f]Jillian[/name_f] ([name_f]Jill[/name_f])
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] ([name_f]Gwen[/name_f])
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] ([name_f]Tibby[/name_f])

I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is perfect with your other girls’! She doesn’t need a nickname.

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Alberta[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Ottoline[/name_f]

I’m going off brief and suggesting a four syllable name but I’m guessing you’ll be okay with that as you like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].

My suggestion is [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] would be wonderful with your sibset.

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]

Nn could be [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

Pretty names! The only one I am not crazy about it [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], because I can see it turning into [name_f]Sue[/name_f] or [name_f]Suzy[/name_f]. I think with your girls’ names [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] would work the best. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], while gorgeous, I think is too close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], which I also love, somehow seems more formal than your dd’s names.

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] Merit is my favorite in your list. I also like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] but too similar to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
Maybe these can give you some more ideas…
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_u]Allison[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiorella[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
Lyrabel [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Mariella[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
Floriane [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] Merit
[name_f]Julissa[/name_f] Merit

Thank you all for your help! Of your suggestions, I like [name_f]Luella[/name_f] Merit, [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] Merit the best. I hadn’t thought about [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] being so close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but I agree. And while I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], the name currently belongs to a dog in our family :frowning:
What nicknames could I use with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]? Is the association to the TV show still too strong? My dh says yes.

There are other characters named [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. There was [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_m]King[/name_m] from Road to Avonlea (book and tv show) long before the tv show with [name_f]Keri[/name_f] [name_m]Russell[/name_m]. It is the name of an American Girl doll and there is a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] Smoak on [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] (she was a [name_f]Marvel[/name_f] character ages ago too).
I don’t really think [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] has any real nicknames though. Some people like Fliss.
