My husband and I can’t decide on a final name. I have insisted on [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and would like to call her by both. He wants sofie or sofia in the name. I can either drop the [name]Jane[/name] and name her [name]Willa[/name] [name]Sofie[/name] or name her 4 names. [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofia[/name]. I really wanted a double name. It’s a southern thing. But I’m going to have to include [name]Sofie[/name]/[name]Sofia[/name] to compromise with my husband. Opinions please! We also have a long last name.
I think that with a long last name, a double name would be a tad much. I like [name]Willa[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name], but I think [name]Willa[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] is fine. Maybe you could include [name]Jane[/name] for another daughter?

I’m not a fan of double names in general, but it seems like you have your heart set on [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. It’s quite sweet together, though not my style. I think it’ll be fine to have [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] since all three are on the short side. [name]Sofia[/name] wouldn’t get used much so it doesn’t matter that it’s long. Or you can give her two middle names, [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Sofia[/name], and make her first name just [name]Willa[/name]. You could still call her [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] informally, like at home, but to everyone else she’d be [name]Willa[/name] Lastname- I’m pretty sure that won’t be too long.
I think [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] Longlastname is just fine. People give their children two middle names all the time, or a double first name and still include a middle name. No biggie.

As a big fan of four names I say go for [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofia[/name]. Wqe also have a long name, 8 letters and my kids all have 4 names.
[name]Will[/name] you be having more children? You could always save one name for another daughter if you aren’t sold on two middle names.

I’m not a fan of double middle names, myself (but, in any case, I think people should be consistent with their kids’ names in terms of the no. of middle names they give them…just my opinion). Regardless, I do think [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] sounds best, as is. If that absolutely won’t work, then [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofie[/name], and you call her [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name], as you liked.
I think it’s a southern thing because i’m from the south as well and my husband is from the midwest he hates the idea of four names but that’s just him!!! I say go with four you can always call her something for short you don’t always have to call her by her full name!

I think if you plan on calling her [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and not just [name]Willa[/name], then maybe she can be named [name]Willa[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] so it is more obvious as a first name. Her middle name can be [name]Sofie[/name]. [name]Willa[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofie[/name]
I’d like to add that [name]Sofie[/name] would be fine but [name]Sofia[/name] might be a bit much with 3 syllables.

[name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is cute, but [name]Willa[/name] [name]Sofie[/name] isn’t a bad alternative It’s a lot better than [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofie[/name], so my opinion is to drop [name]Jane[/name]. You can still say [name]Willa[/name] [name]Sofie[/name] as a whole name. <3

Thanks for all the great responses. I think we have decided on [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Sofia[/name]. In answer to the question about monogramming I had to laugh because I wondered the same thing. I asked a cousin about it who has 4 names and she said you include all names in order straight across.
