I’m 30 weeks today and I still haven’t picked a name for my little boy due in [name_u]December[/name_u]. I like a few, but nothing is sticking for me. so far I’ve got:
But none of these “feel” right.
[name_f]My[/name_f] oldest is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], nn [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]/Bella.
I want a name for this big ol bump already! Help!
I actually like your name suggestions but I think they’d sound better if they were switched up.
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Maverick[/name_u]
[name_u]Oliver[/name_u] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
I really like [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_u]Remy[/name_u] & [name_u]Loki[/name_u] from your list!
A name that reminds me of these, is Alakai. I absolutely love that name, it was suggested when I was 20 weeks and found out the gender. But I know if I choose anything too unique or ‘out there’ my family will judge and make fun of it/not get it they’re all fond of very generic names.
Lennox [name_u]Eli[/name_u]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] nn AJ
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] [name_m]Jax[/name_m] nn CJ
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u] [name_u]Fox[/name_u]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] nn [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m]
Isabella is a beautiful name. From your list, my favorite is [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]. That’s just a dreamy combo! [name_u]Maverick[/name_u] is kind of cute. [name_u]Maddox[/name_u] I don’t care for myself. I just see the ‘mad’ part, you know? [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is interesting, but a little too much.
Here are a few more ideas that I personally like w/Isabella that seem like your style:
Maybe try playing around with these sets that you do like and see if one clicks better. I think you know you’re style just not how you want to apply it.
Isabella [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a fairly straightforward name. Nothing odd or hard to understand. I would try to keep it the same with a cohesive tonality between FN and MN.
I like [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] as is. But here’s some playing around with the names.
Out of these 4, I like [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_u]Maddox[/name_u] or [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] paired with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
If you wanted a double middle name like your daughter, [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (beautiful name btw) how about…
Malachi [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] would sound great with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
Others that sound good with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
Theodore [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Oliver[/name_u]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] (essentially [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u] just sounds great with [name_f]Bella[/name_f])
Elijah [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_f]Bella[/name_f] and [name_u]Eli[/name_u])
Oliver [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] ([name_f]Bella[/name_f] and Oli)
Agree with @storygirl87 that your boys list feels very different than big sis’ name [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] with possible exception of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. Also like the suggestions of flip-flopping some of your names to fit in better stylistically!
Good luck
I actually adore the suggestion of [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]!! It matches really well with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
@storygirl87 & @CurlyC
Yeah my name list is probably very different, considering I was 15 dating my high school sweetheart who made the final decision on the name.
4 years later and trying to choose a name by myself, both my boys and girls lists are completely different than they were at that time.
For example, if this baby would’ve been a girl, my faves were [name_u]Willow[/name_u], [name_u]Nova[/name_u], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. Very different from [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]!
