Congratulations and welcome back! [name_m]You[/name_m] have such lovely taste :sun_with_face:

For [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and Thea’s sister, my favourite combos are [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I think they have the same balance of sweet and sassy with a cottagecore feel.

Your boys’ names are all wonderful but the one I’d be most excited to see is [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Porter[/name_m]. [name_m]Scout[/name_m] is peppy and fun and I love it for a boy!

Hi, congratulations!

I like [name_f]Stella[/name_f], but [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] would get a no from me. [name_m]The[/name_m] others fit all I think. My favourite would be [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] with the sisters, but I like all your boys names. [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] are my favourites, but I like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] better with [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f].

For sisters to nella oakley and thea elowyn i love ivy pearl and ruby alice!

For brothers i love finley james and scout porter!

Big congrats! :sparkles:

Working through your list:

Girls:

  • I like Hazel, but not so much Hazel Dove (feels wordy: a brown bird). I’d go for Hazel Marlowe or Hazel Bellamy (also so has more length like the other two). I’d skip Hazel Elsie (repeats HazEL ELsie and see below re Elsie).
  • I wouldn’t do Ruby Iris (red-eye = a bit scary). Ruby Alice or (as a suggestion) Ruby Willa are very sweet.
  • Ivy Pearl is a double word too, but it doesn’t feel as wordy to me. Ivy Mairéad is a suggestion though - means pearl, parade with an M, and has the length and magical quality of Oakley and Elowyn.
  • I wouldn’t pair Stella with Nella, and Elsie as a middle with Elowyn repeat a little.

Top picks: Ivy Pearl, Ruby Alice, or Hazel with a different middle.

Boys:

  • Would tweak Scout Porter (two occupations) and Nash (each kid having a unique starting letter is nice so no N or T names).
  • Probably skip August after Sawyer (somehow slightly repeat sounds and not the smoothest to say)
  • Faves: Miles Griffin (best fit), then Brooks Archer or Scout with a different middle.

Overall, adorable names, and take or leave my thoughts, of course! Good luck!

I really like [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] with [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] is adorable and my favorite combo on your list. I like [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] the most of your [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] combos.
But I could also see [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Alouette[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Cerelia[/name_f] with her sisters.
I think all the names on your list ‘work’ with her sisters, except for [name_f]Stella[/name_f], as others have mentioned.

From your boy list I love seeing [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Porter[/name_m]. What a fun little brother name! [name_f]Nella[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_m]Scout[/name_m] sound like such a fun, adventurous trio. I also really like [name_m]Finley[/name_m] with [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Nella[/name_f] too. [name_m]Finley[/name_m] feels classic, simple, playful yet elegant and flows well with his sisters names. Same for [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m]. I think they fit well stylistically.
I prefer the sound of [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] to [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m]. It sounds more clear when said out loud.
[name_m]Beckham[/name_m], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] and [name_m]Nash[/name_m] sort of feel overly trendy, punchy and less simple, old-fashioned and elegant compared to [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. They aren’t my favorite for this set.

I would go with [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] for a girl and [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Carter[/name_m] for a boy

Firstly, your daughters have such gorgeous names :heart_hands: [name_f]Nella[/name_f] & [name_f]Thea[/name_f] are so sweet together!

From your list, I’m absolutely loving [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] & [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] for girls, and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] & [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] for boys. [name_m]The[/name_m] vibes are friendly, approachable, and sweet, with a bit of a nature-y feel to them.

[name_m]The[/name_m] only name I would personally remove is [name_f]Stella[/name_f], seeing as it rhymes with [name_f]Nella[/name_f] very closely.

I’m also a huge fan of [name_m]Scout[/name_m] as a first for a boy, but I don’t love [name_m]Porter[/name_m] as a middle name… the flow sounds a little off & they’re both occupational names. Maybe [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], or [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]?

I hope this helped! Best of luck!

I love your two girls’ names!

I share some of the same hangups as @EloiseT - [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] meaning red eye, [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] describing a brown bird, the repeated ‘el’ in [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] rhyming with [name_f]Nella[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] (even though it’s a double word name, it’s not descriptive in the same way as [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] etc), and I’d suggest [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]!

For boys, I really like [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m], and [name_m]Scout[/name_m] as a first name but less sold on [name_m]Porter[/name_m] - what about [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Finley[/name_m]?

My favorites are [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] [name_m]Jude[/name_m] I also really like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]

[name_m]You[/name_m] have some lovely options!!

With your daughters, my favourites of your fem list are:

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] → warm and pretty, vintage meets contemporary, plus a nature connection

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] → I kind of like that your eldest has a 5 letter name, your second has 4 letters and then [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] has 3  sweet but sharp; [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] adds something gentle and deliciated.

[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] → bubbly and cheerful but with the sharper sounds of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] + it feels a little mystical like [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f].

Least favourites:

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] → a lovely name but [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] are too close for me. [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]? [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]? [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f]?

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] → they are both lovely but run into each other a bit

My favourites from your masc list:

[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] → cool and contemporary but well established too - [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] brings the modern feel of [name_m]Oakley[/name_m] and mystical vibes of [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f] together.

[name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] → snappy and fresh, outdoorsy and sleek. I like how it fits with your daughters

[name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] → simple but memorable, gentle and kind of cosy. I do think I’d slightly prefer a different middle to give it more energy – as [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f] and [name_m]Oakley[/name_m] bring. [name_m]Like[/name_m] [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]Nash[/name_m], [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m], [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m], or [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]Jude[/name_m].

[name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m] → relaxed, smart and preppy, with a touch of summery outdoorsyness

Least favourites:

[name_m]Beckham[/name_m] [name_m]Jude[/name_m] → I like [name_m]Jude[/name_m] and I like [name_m]Beck[/name_m] and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] just doesn’t do it for me; maybe it’s the footballer link or the ‘ham’ end – not sure

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Carter[/name_m] / [name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Porter[/name_m] → love [name_m]Nash[/name_m] and [name_m]Scout[/name_m], not a fan of [name_m]Porter[/name_m] and [name_m]Carter[/name_m]? I could get over that but I like your other options more.

congratulations!! I love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] for girls and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] for boys! I remember when you named Th3a that you gave them both tree-adjacent middle names so I think that [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] could be a good middle name? like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m] are my favorites, they match so well!

From the girls lists my favorites are [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. For the boys my favorites are [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m], [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m], and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m].

Hi first of all, congrats and welcome back! Your girls’ names are STUNNING, [name_f]Nella[/name_f] [name_m]Oakley[/name_m] & [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f] is such a dreamy, cohesive sibset.

Girls:
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] (all combos) - [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] fits your vibe perfectly.
• [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] feels the most “you” to me, soft, naturey, and a bit whimsical like [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f].
• [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is pretty, but it feels a bit more “full on” with two strong nature names, and doesn’t flow quite as easily as [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f].
• [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is sweet but leans a bit more vintage-cutesy than your other names. Plus the flow feels a bit muddled with the ‘el’ sounds back to back.

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - [name_f]Gorgeous[/name_f] names individually, but [name_f]Stella[/name_f] feels quite close to [name_f]Nella[/name_f], they rhyme a lot, so “Nella, [name_f]Thea[/name_f], Stella” starts to sound a bit sing-songy.

[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] (Alice/Iris) - [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] is cute and pairs well with [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f], it does feel a little different stylistically but i think thats okay. [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] > [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] for me.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - This is so pretty and delicate. It flows nicely, but [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] feels a bit shorter next to [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f], not a bad thing, just a slightly different rhythm.

My favourites for flow and overall feel are [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f].

Boys:
[name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] - This flows really nicely and feels very easy to say. It fits well alongside [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] without feeling out of place. Maybe slightly more common, but super wearable.

[name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m] - Such a nice combination, it feels very “cool outdoorsy” and fits your vibe nicely. [name_m]The[/name_m] rhythm is great, and I like how distinct the two names sound together.

[name_m]Beckham[/name_m] [name_m]Jude[/name_m] - This one feels the most different from your girls (more trendy/modern surname-heavy).

[name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] a lot for you, naturey and gentle. [name_m]Archer[/name_m] makes it a bit more bold, but still works. [name_m]The[/name_m] transition between the two names is slightly clunky and harsh when said out loud, but still its nice.

[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] - This flows SO well. Probably one of the smoothest combinations on your list, and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] sounds really nice with [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f].

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Carter[/name_m] - Feels a bit sharp compared to your other options, and the flow is okay but not my favourite.

[name_m]Scout[/name_m] [name_m]Porter[/name_m] - Fun and cool, but the flow is a bit choppier, especially with the two strong sounds back to back.

My top picks are [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m], and [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m].

Overally though, everything you’ve picked is genuinely so pretty - I don’t think you can go wrong.

I am in absolute awe of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] and I love [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] too! I think [name_f]Stella[/name_f] would probably be too similar to [name_f]Nella[/name_f] but it is beautiful!

For boys [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] [name_m]August[/name_m] is stunning and I like [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] too!

Good luck and beautiful names :two_hearts:

i love your kids’ names and congrats on baby #3!! i notice you have tree-related middles for n3lla and th3a, would you continue this for a third baby?

from your list, with the tree theme:

  • ruby hazel (maybe too colorful haha) or ivy hazel!
  • nash (means ‘at the ash’) - sawyer nash is cute!

other tree inspiration (if you want it) based on your kids:

  • girls: juniper, aspen, willow, laurel
  • boys: hollis, silas, rowan (works for girls too!)

Hi there.

Your daughters’ names are so much fun!

Here are my thoughts for Girl Names

[Fem]

***hazel dove-I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is great. It’s old fashioned, quirky yet feminine, works well at any age & is easy to say & spell. My only hesitation would be that it’s quite popular. At least in my area. I don’t know if I love [name_f]Dove[/name_f], but I can’t pinpoint why. I like the peacefulness of it; just not the sound.

hazel ivy-This is my favorite [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] combo. It’s two floral names, but that’s not such a bad thing!

hazel elsie-I love [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] in general, but not the flow of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] too much.

stella maeve-This is gorgeous, but it does rhyme with [name_f]Nella[/name_f].

ruby alice-That’s cute & goes really well with your daughters’ names.

ruby iris-I much prefer [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. [name_m]Not[/name_m] into the sound of [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and also [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] just looks and sounds nicer.

ivy pearl-I like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] & I love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]! This combo is great.

masc.

***finley james-I love [name_m]Finley[/name_m] for a boy. I prefer [name_m]Finlay[/name_m] if we’re being picky, but either way it’s so charming. This is a very handsome combo.

sawyer august-I like the vibe of [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] & it fits well with your kids’ names. I just don’t like the sound of it that much.

beckham jude-Nice combo, but I’m not big on [name_m]Beckham[/name_m]. It looks awkward. Maybe it’s the k and the h next to each other that feels odd to me. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the [name_m]Jude[/name_m] part.

brooks archer-Meh, [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] doesn’t do much for me. [name_f]Kind[/name_f] of super trendy in my area.

miles griffin-I don’t mind [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. I hear this a ton in my area, too, but it feels more classic at least. I like it with [name_f]Nella[/name_f] & [name_f]Thea[/name_f] a lot.

nash carter-I don’t care for [name_m]Nash[/name_m]. Feels too harsh.

scout porter-Hm. I don’t mind [name_m]Scout[/name_m] for a boy, but not sure. I’m more used to it for a girl.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Your daughters have lovely names!

My favourites of your girls’ names are [name_f]Hazel[/name] [name_f]Ivy[/name] and [name_f]Ivy[/name] [name_f]Pearl[/name], I feel like they really capture the sweet nature feel of your other kids’ names. The only one I don’t like of your options is [name_f]Stella[/name], it’s a little too matchy with [name_f]Nella[/name]. I’m not personally a fan of [name_f]Ruby[/name] but it fits with your other kids’ names.

I absolutely love [name_m]Finley[/name] [name_m]James[/name] and I think it’s perfect with your daughters’ names. I also like [name_m]Brooks[/name] [name_m]Archer[/name] and [name_m]Miles[/name] [name_m]Griffin[/name]. I like [name_m]Scout[/name] and [name_m]August[/name] but not the combos, if that makes sense?

With [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] I like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] (with either [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or Iris). [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Nella[/name_f].
Would you consider [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] or [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] for a first name?

For a boy my favourite is [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. That is just great! My second choice is [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m].
I also like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], [name_m]August[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m] for first names.
