We have two girls: [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]. We are expecting #3 in [name_u]September[/name_u]. (Fingers crossed it sticks!) We have a boy name decided: [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_m]Ross[/name_m]. If it’s a girl which option do you like most? The middle options are family names. I should also say my husband nixed a lot of my options and I am very happy he likes these!
All your other kids and the potential boy name are 2 syllable and I like maintaining that symmetry for another girl too. And they all have a one syllable middle.
Sylvie [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is gorgeous and fits the bill swimmingly.
One, I love your daughter’s names they’re literally so cute. Second, I picked [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], but I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be a great middle name option because [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] sounds so similar to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].
I am so in love with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] with your daughters’ names! I like the symmetry of the 2 syllable first/1 syllable middle for each of them, and I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] fits in beautifully in terms of style while still feeling distinctive. I also just love it in its own right!
To me, [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] has the most similar feel to [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] - particularly [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I’m the odd one out, I know, but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] just feels like it’s too recently an old lady name, and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] give off very different vibes than [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] the best - the rhythm of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]/Gwendolyn is so fantastic to me, and I find both of these options sit in a pocket of being old but current and not super popular. Personally I’ve been loving [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] a lot lately, on its own and for its many nickname possibilities ([name_f]Neve[/name_f] is my favourite), but I’ve always liked [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] really well too.
As to your others: [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] to me retains an old-lady quality (I know that isn’t the case for everybody) and doesn’t feel fresh yet. And, I really like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] but I don’t like it with either [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] or [name_u]Wren[/name_u] - both of those sound too much like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] to me.
