4th girl name help, please…

Hi everyone :relaxed:. I’m pregnant with our 5th and she will be our 4th girl… We prefer names that are somewhat classy and a bit uncommon. Our current children’s names are Jocelyn Elyse, Charlize Rose, Everly Grace and Jameson John. My Husband and I are stuck between
Ellisyn Mae or Marian Mae. Mae’s a family name. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks so much💜.

I love the sound of [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] :star_struck:

I also love the name [name_u]Ellison[/name_u], it’s been one of my favorites for years!

But I would definitely go with [name_u]Marian[/name_u] in your case!

I am liking [name_u]Marian[/name_u] for you! I think that [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sounds great with your other kids names. With that being said, [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] is still stunning and would make a great sister to [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Charlize[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u], and [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]. You really can’t go wrong!

I also prefer [name_u]Marian[/name_u] for you. I don’t mind [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f], but it does seem a bit similar to both [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u], almost a combination of the two names. I wouldn’t say [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] is more trendy rather than classy. I’ve seen it also spelled Ellasyn. [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] as a first name is another beautiful option.

I definitely prefer [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] to me is very “country” (kind of redneck tbh) sounding, so I don’t associate it as being classy at all. I just picture an old lady on a farm… “Marian [name_f]Mae[/name_f], come milk the cows!” But maybe that’s just me, so take it with a grain of salt! It could also be related to where I live too. But I also don’t love the nicknames [name_f]Mary[/name_f] or [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] sounds classic (I’m not sure if it actually is, or just sounds that way) without being too “old” sounding, and I love nickname options [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] if she wants something more “common” or [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] if she wants something more unique. It gives her different options versus just the more classic sounding nicknames for [name_u]Marian[/name_u] (unless someone else can come up with something that I can’t?)

I know a little [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (not double barreled) and she gets called [name_f]Mari[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] which j love! I was thinking that might work for you too if you with [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is darling! I think that [name_u]Marian[/name_u] goes beautifully w/your crew. It’s slightly old fashioned, simple, not over done, grows up well, is sweet & very classy w/out being stuffy. [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] feels a bit more trendy in my opinion. And I got tripped up spelling it even though I just read it. Plus, [name_f]Ell[/name_f] names in general are really over done. I love [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]! But there are a ton of them running around.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is lovely, and I think it fits it the best!
[name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is very pretty as well, but it feels a little similar to your other children’s names for me. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if you never mix up who you are calling for, I think [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u], and [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] might hear enough elements of their own names in [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] that the whole crew might come running.

I love [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for your family. [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] sounds enough like [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] that I would assume they’re brothers, instead of brother and sister. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is familiar but unusual - a good fit with your other kids.

Wonderful points thanks !!

That is so true- how funny!! Great thought!

[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is gorgeous! I love both names individually as well as the alliteration of them paired together, and I think the combo lends itself to lots of fun nicknames if you like nicknames! [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] is very pretty too but I do prefer [name_u]Marian[/name_u], in general and with your set :yellow_heart:

Thanks so much… our kids really liked [name_f]Ellisyn[/name_f] and feel [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is an old name but my husband and I see it more as a sweet girls name that holds a decent amount of class as she grows up… :relaxed:
