We’ve narrowed baby girl names to [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and I switch back and forth every week. I have loved the name [name_f]Olive[/name_f] for so long but think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is safer. Help me decide!
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
Mostly because you said you’ve loved it for so long. [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t pick the safer choice, trust me, I almost did and I’m so grateful I was bold and chose the name I really loved. Especially since after we had my first we suffered from infertility for three years before getting pregnant again. I was afraid I would never have another baby and was even more grateful I chose the name I loved most.
Be bold.
(Plus, [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is such a lovely name)
I agree with @laurelrobyn. Also, if the reason you are going back and forth is for the “safer” name, both are lovely so go with the one you love the most!
I think [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is cute and unusual! Definitely [name_f]Olive[/name_f]!
I prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but it sounds like you prefer [name_f]Olive[/name_f], which is what matters.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] sounds like violently.
I vote [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
Agree with all of above: though I personally prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (only marginally), go with your heart (since both are pretty, happy and eminently wearable names), and if you end up going with [name_f]Violet[/name_f], I’d change the middle to avoid “violently”.
In your case, I say choose [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. Always choose the name you love for long and always come back to.
As much as I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f] seems perfect for you here
I love this response and I agree with it! Be bold. Go with [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
