80s/90s -lee, -ley, -lay names for girls

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering, if you had to name your daughter with an 80s/90s -lee, -ley, -lay ending name on this list, which one and why?

You can also comment. I’m wondering if they give you different images of what the person would be like? [name_u]Or[/name_u] colors/associations?

[name_u]Ashley[/name_u]
[name_u]Haley[/name_u]
[name_u]Lindsay[/name_u]
[name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]
[name_u]Whitney[/name_u]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] - I’ll let this count too
[name_u]Kelly[/name_u]

You can change spellings.

Which one would you choose if you could pick any you want? Not just from the list?

And what do you think of more recent favorites?

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_u]Halley[/name_u]

[name_u]Ashley[/name_u], [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u], or [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]! Also [name_f]Kailey[/name_f] spelled this way.

I like how they all sound sunny, bubbly, and fun, but are also grounded and down-to-Earth. I can also picture them on different ages and personalities which I like.

Other similar names I like would be [name_u]Kacey[/name_u] and [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u].

And from the current ones I love [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] best! I have [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] on my list. But I honestly like a lot of -lee names, like [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_f]Tenley[/name_f], or [name_u]Presley[/name_u].

I really love [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] (my favourite spelling)! She sounds so sweet and carefree. I also like [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] although living in [name_u]England[/name_u] I do assosciate it with the ultra posh [name_u]London[/name_u] borough

I would go with [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]

Of these, I think I’d consider [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_u]Whitney[/name_u] or [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]!

[name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] has warmth and a bit of glitter.
[name_u]Whitney[/name_u] is snappy - and well, I like the witty vibe.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] is kind of chilled and cool!

If I could choose anyone I wanted, based on these and the 90s/80s vibe, I’d probably go with [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] - sort of rugged and earthy

As for the recent faves - I do love [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] - a charming meaning and sound, shades of green and imagery of meadows

I would pick [name_u]Whitney[/name_u] or [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - they are both sprightly, with-it names, and have a nice southern belle association while still being modern and fresh. Of the more recent ones, I would probably not pick any listed and go for [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] but [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] if pushed. I also like [name_u]Keeley[/name_u] but it’s tied up with the [name_m]Ted[/name_m] Lasso character.

I’m a [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] fan! Also [name_f]Hailee[/name_f] …even though I objectively think that spelling is a lot. Something about it is very flowery-fun to me.

I also absolutely loved [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] for years! I still think it’s nice. It’s definitely a happy name to say aloud. Same with the more modern [name_u]Finley[/name_u].

I’m a sucker for ending in “ley” names. [name_f]My[/name_f] fav from your list is [name_u]Haley[/name_u], although I would spell it [name_f]Haylie[/name_f].

If I had to choose my top 5 ending in “ley” names, I think I would go with:

[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Iley[/name_f]
[name_f]Kallie[/name_f]
[name_f]Avonlea[/name_f]
[name_u]Brinley[/name_u]

I think [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] is my favorite of the ones you’ve listed! I’ve also seen [name_f]Maelie[/name_f] pop up more recently, and I think it has a sweet sound. Not sure how I’d spell it though.
