I know it’s dated but I love it! I also feel like it fits with my other names.
Wdyt? (Have a feeling this is gonna get mixed reviews)

I really like it! I think it’s ready for a revival. [name_f]Majorie[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jorie[/name_u] was on my list for a long time!
Not my personal fave. As you said, it’s definitely dated! But it’s got a warm sound and some very cute nickname options — Jorie, Maggie, Mary. Overall nice.
I feel like it’s a name that a person either completely fits the vibe of and totally embraces or they’ll go by a nickname until they’re an adult - it doesn’t feel very flexible but it does offer a great range of natural nicknames which makes it quite usable, I think.
[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] is pretty charming and I adore the nickname Jorie!!
I actually prefer the Scottish spelling [name_f]Margery[/name_f], but I love the name and would love to see it make a comeback. And [name_u]Jorie[/name_u] is awfully cute.
I really like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] she’s just suddenly grown on me probably because I’m a fan of the song [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] by [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] [name_m]Swift[/name_m] so listening to that one on repeat has made me love it
[name_u]Jorie[/name_u] is sweet
I used to loathe this name (I really don’t like the “marge-ey” sound) but it has grown on me. I have it on my list of middle names, to honor two of my grandmothers name [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
Two things helped me see the name as usuable for a modern girl. One, I saw the name on a crime show. I can’t remember if it was a Law&Order or what but there was a teenage character called [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]. It was like, huh…some sort of an association rather an an elderly grandma. The second was just the realization that every [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], [name_f]Maude[/name_f], [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] and [name_m]Harold[/name_m] all started out as babies, then grew up. A name may seem “too old” or “too big” for a little baby but that stage lasts for SUCH a short while. So will a [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] stand out in a sea of classmates called [name_u]Brinleigh[/name_u] and [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]? Sure. However, she will grow up and it won’t matter much.
I like it and can see it coming back soon. It fits right in with [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], [name_f]Maude[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Betty[/name_f], etc. It was actually my grandmother’s name but she felt it wasn’t serious enough (she was quite a “proper” sort) so she went exclusively by her middle, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], instead. The [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] spelling definitely feels brighter and breezier than the stodgier [name_f]Margery[/name_f].
[name_f]Marsaili[/name_f] has sometimes been used as the Scottish form of [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], although etymologically they’re not related, and I have to say I much prefer it.
I like the nn [name_u]Jorie[/name_u] but I’m more in love with [name_f]Marj[/name_f] haha
I love it! I went to school with a young [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] who was an absolutely lovely person, and they definitely colored my opinion of the name. I’m also a fan of the [name_f]Margery[/name_f] spelling.
I don’t love it, but I don’t dislike it. I can definitely see it making a revival soon with names such as [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Maude[/name_f], and [name_f]Constance[/name_f] slowly on the upturn.
I don’t love the beginning and don’t like the nickname Marj/Marge, so I think that stops me from liking it any further.
I love [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]! It feels vintage, but not dated to me. I could easily see it being revived!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it!! It always makes me think of this adorable [name_u]French[/name_u] girl that was on ANTM like 10+ years ago. She made me love the name!
I really like Marjorie. There was a little girl named Marjorie (about 2 then, maybe 4 now) - at my job and it really helps to hear it in real life - and on a very spirited kid too. Jorie is a fun nickname, it kind of has this cool girl feel. Marj is lovely as well.
I love [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] !!
I am bias because it’s my grandmas name and she’s like the very best human ! I would absolutely consider using it in the first name spot and have the nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] !
I love [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]! I could definitely see her coming back in a few years. She’s so sweet, I would love to meet a real [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]!
I really like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]! I don’t think it’s dated at all.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! I really hope [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] makes a comeback soon!
I don’t hate it, I just feel conflicted since it reminds me of margarine. I think the nicknames [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and [name_u]Jorie[/name_u] are very cute thought
