Hello all, we have a 6 year old named [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and we are expecting a little girl in a few months.
We are looking for a name that is not as common as [name_u]Noah[/name_u], but still familiar enough so that her name doesn’t look odd next to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. We prefer names on the shorter side.
We have these already, but we are trying to expand our list (top ones are starred):
(we used to have [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] on the list as well, but we scrapped them because they were too close to [name_u]Noah[/name_u] for our comfort)
Are there any names you think we might like?
Our surname is Hispanic, is 2 syllables, starts with T and is heavy on the R sounds (but does not pair too bad with R names).
I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] or [name_f]Leah[/name_f] go wonderfully with [name_u]Noah[/name_u], I don’t really like the other ones on your list (I like [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], but not [name_f]Elisa[/name_f]).

[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]

[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on your current names…
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]/[name_u]Julie[/name_u] ~ [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is very classy and works nicely with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] however I am not keen on [name_u]Julie[/name_u] I find this choice dated whereas [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is quiet classic and still feels fresh.
[name_f]Mara[/name_f] ~ Has a lovely European sound and too me despite it’s varying range of origins running from Hebrew, Russian, Italian etc this name feels Nordic and fashionable. I think [name_f]Mara[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] work together however they do sound quiet rhymey together.
[name_f]Elisa[/name_f] ~ A pretty name but I think [name_f]Elise[/name_f] feels more refreshing with [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_f]Liora[/name_f] ~ This name feels new and fresh, she feels like a cool alternative too the likes of [name_f]Laura[/name_f]/[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]/[name_f]Lauren[/name_f]. She also sounds lovely with [name_f]Liora[/name_f].
[name_f]Alia[/name_f] ~ I prefer [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] spelling wise I also like the link to Judaism furthermore it works with [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. However I am assuming your not Jewish and maybe this combinations feels too ‘Jewish’ for somebody who isn’t Jewish. As somebody of Jewish origins I think I wouldn’t want to use a combination that represents someone else culture too strongly. But it’s totally up too you how you see it.
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] ~ I feel the same thing with [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] as I do with this name, but not so strongly because in my eyes [name_f]Eva[/name_f] feels more universal and is used strongly in other cultures too. [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is a lovely name with a sweet sound. I think [name_f]Eva[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] sound lovely together as well.
[name_u]Rue[/name_u] ~ Such a lovely vibrant choice with a fashionable sound. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_u]Rue[/name_u] do feel different but seem too sound effortless together.
[name_f]Cara[/name_f] ~ [name_m]Add[/name_m] a ‘l’ and I would be swooning I adore [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] ~ A lovely elegant feminine name. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is delightful and has a chic Parisian feel. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is gorgeous!!!
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] ~ [name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on [name_f]Leah[/name_f] are similar to my thoughts on [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u], expect [name_f]Leah[/name_f] doesn’t feel as strongly religious. Still [name_f]Leah[/name_f] isn’t a favourite either.
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] ~ A lovely intriguing nature name. [name_f]Calla[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] feel very unusual together but do have the strong pronounced ‘a’ sound which could make naming future children difficult as you would have created a theme.
[name_f]Vienna[/name_f] ~ I dislike [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] with [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] ~ I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] works nicely with [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite combination is [name_f]Elle[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] it’s delightful.
from them we like: [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Junia[/name_f], [name_f]Maia[/name_f], [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]India[/name_f], [name_u]Sierra[/name_u], [name_f]Faye[/name_f]/[name_f]Fae[/name_f]/[name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
Noah and Holly (I know siblings called this)
Noah and Milla
Noah and Elsie
Noah and Nelle
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_u]Eden[/name_u] fit well slightly biblical
I really like [name_f]Leah[/name_f] with [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. We have [name_f]Elianna[/name_f] with [name_u]Noah[/name_u], but wondering if you like [name_f]Talia[/name_f]. It means gentle dew of heaven and has nickname of [name_f]Lia[/name_f]. If we have another daughter [name_f]Talia[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and also beautiful [name_f]Maya[/name_f] are on the short list
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Talia[/name_f] and [name_f]Maya[/name_f] are on our short list to go with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and siblings
