[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries! I’m new here and excited for your input. Having a sweet baby girl in a few months and still not sure on her name. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite name right now is [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom really likes the name [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] and at first I didn’t really care for it, but now it’s kind of growing on me. I’m just not sure if it sounds better as a first name or middle. I really hate the nickname [name_u]Gabby[/name_u] but I like [name_f]Brie[/name_f] or [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]. Here are the names I’ve been pondering…
[name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] (my pick)
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] (moms pick)
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] (love [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] but not sure I like this combo)
Which one is your favorite? I’m also open to other suggestions. Thanks 
If [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is your favorite, I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is the best choice for you! [name_u]Or[/name_u] a new [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] combo if you’re not sure on that one. I understand why your mom’s input is valuable, but this will be your daughter and not hers, so you should go with the name you love. You don’t want to feel pressured into using her favorite name and end up regretting it later.
Maybe [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] would be a nice compromise? [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Mia[/name_f] would be sweet too.

Here are my thoughts-
[name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] Elyse-This is nice. It’s not my personal favorite. I’m just not into [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], but it’s a fine name. I think it’s mainly that I don’t like [name_u]Gabby[/name_u]. And if you really hate [name_u]Gabby[/name_u], not sure I’d name your little girl [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. There’s always a risk, if you will, that someone may call her that at some point. [name_u]Or[/name_u] she may grow up & prefer [name_u]Gabby[/name_u]. You could always do just [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Brie[/name_f] as an idea? Kind of blends [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] & [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], actually!
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] Gabrielle-I love [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. It’s my little kitty’s name, so I’m biased. 
It’s so spunky & smart & feminine w/out being frilly. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] flows nicely too. I also like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. They’re both really popular if that bothers you.
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] Gabrielle-I don’t mind [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. It’s not my cup of tea, but it’s a bit more unique than the other two. At least more so than [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. I like the way that [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] sounds.

I love [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. I think anyone named [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is at risk of being called [name_u]Gabby[/name_u], so maybe to avoid that you could consider [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f] or [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] as the full first name. Abrielle/Brielle [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] sounds great too.

I personally love [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]! I think all of your combo sound great, but my favorite is [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]! [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] are also nicknames that you could use for [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]!

I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is super pretty! Sounds elegant and flows well.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] as a middle name! I worry that as a first [name_u]Gabby[/name_u] would be an inevitable nickname. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] are both great. Personally I prefer [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. [name_f]Sisi[/name_f] or Sia(!!) are very cool nicknames.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I am starting to lean more towards [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] I think. [name_f]Sia[/name_f] is such a cute nickname for [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] too 
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is a good pick because Sienna’s your favorite name and it keeps [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] since you like it but decreases the chance of [name_u]Gabby[/name_u]. It also goes well together. I also like [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] because it’s really pretty but I didn’t pick it because a bunch of Gabrielle’s turn into Gabby’s at some point even if you fight it.
What about [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]?

I really like [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] for you - the two names complement each other but don’t sound alike themselves. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] would work too. I agree with PPs, if you dislike [name_u]Gabby[/name_u] as a nickname I would steer away from [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] as a first name.
I love the idea of shortening [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] to [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] as a middle but unfortunately it doesn’t go with my last name which also starts with a B.
I love Sienna Gabrielle! In second though is Mia Gabrielle because the elle of Gabrielle and the El of Elyse kind of merge. However, you should go for your favourite since your mum had chance to name her kids and now its your turn. You shouldn’t have to give up your favourite for her imo
