I’ve been searching for a first name for the middle Bliss lately, and just can’t seem to settle on anything! I figured it was time to come to you all after seemingly looking everywhere, haha.
I’m trying to find something that feels very nature-y, spiritual, hippie boho, but isn’t necessarily a word, or if it is, it’s widely accepted as a name (ie, Hazel, Robin, Wilder, etc). Generally, I would usually go for something a bit more classic to balance out how unexpected Bliss is, especially as a boy’s middle. However, I’m loving him as a brother to Shepherd Fate and Herschel Valley at the moment, which are both names that lean a bit more “outdoorsy, gentle-adventurer” to me, despite being used in the past and feeling a bit vintage. So really, I’m sort of open to anything that’s not too classic and buttoned-up or too uncommon and wordy. A name that feels like coming to a sun-dappled clearing in the middle of a crisp walk, and breathing in the fresh air.
I feel like the perfect fit is Judah, but he’s a bit too religious for my personal lists, unfortunately. I’ve tossed around Shiloh, Augustine, Lemuel, Gideon, Edward, and Walter, the formers of which felt too on-the-nose, too heavy, or too religious, and the latter that felt too classic and a bit stuffy.

For some reason my brain is stuck on [name_m]Vermont[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f] .. [name_m]Monty[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f]. Which maybe too “place name”, but I think flows with [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_m]Herschel[/name_m], is unexpected but recognizable [name_f][/name_f], outdoorsy and adventurous. You could also use [name_m]Vern[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f], [name_m]Ernie[/name_m] or [name_m]Mo[/name_m] as potential nicknames if [name_m]Monty[/name_m] isn’t for you [name_f][/name_f].

My first thought was Bodhi Bliss, with the nickname Bo I love the alliteration with the double b but I’m not sure how you feel about combos like that! He sounds so cool to me, rugged and outdoorsy with a spiritual meaning.

I really loved the idea of [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f], but I felt like he was a bit too much compared to the cozy vibe of [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_m]Herschel[/name_m], so I love [name_m]Vermont[/name_m] as another “Monty,” option. One of my top combos is [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Bravery[/name_m], and before I had him, I was debating between that and [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] [name_m]Brave[/name_m]. [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] ended up winning, so I love[name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f] as an alternative to him! I’m also really digging [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f], [name_m]Grover[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f], and [name_m]Rudyard[/name_m] [name_f]Bliss[/name_f].
