A fourth boy! Help!

I’d love anyone’s thoughts on a name for our fourth son. Our boys’ names are:

[name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Brendon[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]

My thoughts/considerations:
All first names were an chosen because we liked them, middles are family names. I love to use long full names, but my husband’s family shortens everyone’s name so I need to be sure that I like the nickname that they will inevitably call him (ie [name_m]Arch[/name_m], [name_u]Ever[/name_u]/Ev, [name_u]Theo[/name_u]). I started off obsessed with surnames as first names and names that started with vowels, but I got stuck on [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and that theme went out the window  I’m not sure if it makes sense to pick the theme back up again or to just move on. I tend to like three-syllable names. Also, I’m not sure how much I care about not repeating the first initial. What would you do??

Here’s my list so far. Thoughts?
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] ([name_u]Dash[/name_u])
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] (Sulli)
[name_u]Remington[/name_u] ([name_u]Remi[/name_u])
[name_m]Odin[/name_m]
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u]
Augustos ([name_u]Gus[/name_u])
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] (Bash)
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Ozias[/name_m]/[name_m]Osias[/name_m] ([name_m]Ozzy[/name_m])

From your list I like [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] or [name_m]Silas[/name_m] ([name_m]Sy[/name_m] could be a nn!)

I like [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] as well, but I don’t think the pronunciation is as intuative as your other boys names, which ruled it out for me.

What name/names are you considering for the middle?

[name_m]Silas[/name_m] goes great!

From your list i like:

[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] ([name_u]Dash[/name_u])
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u]-Like [name_u]Remy[/name_u] don’t care for [name_u]Remington[/name_u]
Augustos ([name_u]Gus[/name_u])- Would you consider [name_u]August[/name_u] “[name_u]Gus[/name_u]” I think it fits your style better
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] this with nickname “[name_u]Sonny[/name_u]”
[name_m]Ozias[/name_m]/[name_m]Osias[/name_m] ([name_m]Ozzy[/name_m])- Would you consider [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] “[name_m]Ozzy[/name_m]” seems to fight with your boys better

Suggestions:

[name_m]Issac[/name_m] “[name_m]Ziggy[/name_m]”
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u] “[name_m]Leo[/name_m]”
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]”
[name_m]Kipling[/name_m] “[name_m]Kip[/name_m]”
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m] “[name_m]Frank[/name_m]/[name_u]Finn[/name_u]”
[name_m]Lucian[/name_m] “[name_u]Lucky[/name_u]”
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] “[name_u]Wally[/name_u]”/"[name_m]Ace[/name_m]"
[name_m]Callum[/name_m] “[name_u]Cal[/name_u]”
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m] “[name_m]Des[/name_m]”
[name_m]Cassius[/name_m] ([name_m]Cash[/name_m]-us) “[name_m]Cash[/name_m]”

From your list I really like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]! It’s a great name and evens out your boys names well.

I’ll suggest:
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] / [name_m]Ben[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] / [name_m]Nate[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] / [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] / [name_m]Eddie[/name_m]
[name_m]Robert[/name_m] / [name_u]Robbie[/name_u]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] / [name_u]Alex[/name_u]
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] / [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] / [name_u]Cal[/name_u]

I think [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] nn Bash is the best fit from your list.

Other suggestions:

[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_u]Beck[/name_u]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u] nn [name_u]Cam[/name_u]
[name_m]Dominick[/name_m] nn [name_m]Dom[/name_m] (or even [name_u]Nick[/name_u])
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] nn [name_m]Fin[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] nn [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] or [name_m]Henry[/name_m] nn [name_m]Hank[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] nn [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]/[name_u]Jamey[/name_u]/[name_u]Jem[/name_u]
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m]/[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]/[name_m]Lenny[/name_m]

[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u]/[name_u]Sammy[/name_u]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] nn [name_m]Vin[/name_m]/[name_u]Vinny[/name_u]/[name_m]Vince[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m] nn [name_m]Will[/name_m]/[name_u]Billy[/name_u]/[name_m]Liam[/name_m]

My first thought is that themes are nice but not essential. Tastes change over time, and so do circumstances. You saw that with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]‘s name, and I don’t see a really compelling reason to return to a theme you’ve sort of moved past. I think you’ve got a really good batch of names to choose from. [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and [name_m]Ozias[/name_m] are a little farther from the classic/surname vibe your other kids’ names share; but, I recommended to someone just yesterday to go for [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] when her other kids have more classic names. [shrug] I mostly think a sibset is comprised of whatever names your kids have. Choose what you like and what you think your kid will wear well.

[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] or [name_m]Ozias[/name_m] would sound great with your boys’ names, and the nicknames work out good too, imo.

I love [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] for you. [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] fits very nicely as well.

[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] is my favorite! I especially like the nickname [name_u]Dash[/name_u], and I think it goes well with your boys names (which I love so much, by the way!)

I also like [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] (though I maybe prefer [name_u]August[/name_u] for you), [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] (I like the nn [name_u]Van[/name_u] for it!), and [name_m]Silas[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Orson[/name_m] too, but I like it more in the middle.

My favourites from your list are [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m].
