[name_m]Trigger[/name_m] Warning - Loss

A few years ago I had two miscarriages, one was a single, the second was twins. The night before I had the miscarriages, I had a dream about them. One was a girl, names [name_f]Imogene[/name_f] and the twins were boys, [name_m]Kaiden[/name_m] and [name_m]Elliot[/name_m]. For years its bugged me that I’ve had no way to remember them other than in my mind. I never took pictures, don’t have ultrasound pictures, I have nothing but the images from the dreams, and their names. [name_m]Long[/name_m] story short, I’m looking for a way I can have something tangible to remember them by. I wanted to do reborn dolls, but I feel a bit too ‘grown up’ for ‘dolls’, especially now that I have two more kids now. Not only that but reborn dolls are very expensive, especially if I want them detailed. Anyways, any other ideas are appreciated.
You could engrave the names on a piece of jewellery
I’m so sorry for your loss.
[name_f]An[/name_f] engraved piece of jewelry, like a necklace or a bracelet, is a good idea.
I had an early miscarriage in 2022, and we planted a small fir tree in our garden around that same time. It wasn’t completely intentional at the time, but the tree always reminds me of the little one we lost, and looking at it feels comforting. So maybe you could plant something as well that reminds you of them, like a tree or even a flower. If you have a garden, you can make a little memorial for your babies.
If that’s something you like, you can also get a tattoo with their names or something else that reminds you of them.
I also know someone who had a blanket knitted especially for the babies she lost, and I think that’s very beautiful and comforting.
Plant something. Roses, trees, etc.
If you can’t plant something personally, you can try “donating” a tree or bench to a park so people can seek shelter and rest in the name if your children.
With plants you can see them grow and change with the seasons. Also, benches tend to have plaques on them where you can put your children’s names or a quote that speaks to you.
If you want to take a step in the money/charity direction, set up a scholarship or donate to whomever you want.
