A great baby naming style quiz!

Yes, I know there are oodles of them out there, but this one (from OK [name]Cupid[/name]) is the best. My result (Exotic Traditional) totally nailed me (especially with the result it said is my polar opposite–Tryndee; I hate trendy names.)

I got:

Exotic Traditional

You scored 26 popularity, 81 history, 30 creativity, and 73 texture!

You like uncommon, traditional, real, names with history behind them. Some people will think you made the name up, and you’ll have to be willing to give impromptu history lessons, but at least your kid will stand out from all the [name]Emily[/name]'s, [name]Hannah[/name]'s and [name]Isabella[/name]'s. Some of these names have a more common nickname that you can use, which might make things easier for your child at times. Online, many of the users at www.bigbadbabynames.com fit into this category. The naming style most unlike yours is Tryndee. You probably think Tryndee names are the craptastic products of an inane hive mind. It’s not likely you’ll find many names to agree on with someone who has that naming style. Other categories with names you might like are: Literary, Ethnic, Androgynous, Classic

Hit the nail on the head ;o)

I got:

Biblical

You like common names that sound up-to-date, but not weird, and you like them to feel real. So, look in the Bible. [name]Even[/name] some of the more obscure Biblical names are coming into wider use, so little [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Deborah[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] won’t get picked on. Other catagories with names you might like are: Classics, New Classics, Popular, Androgynous The naming style most unlike yours is Weird [name]Magic[/name]. You probably think of them as stupid hippie names. It’s not likely you’ll find many names to agree on with somone who has that naming style.

[name]Fantasy[/name]
You scored 32 popularity, 77 history, 34 creativity, and 50 texture!

You like uncommon names, that still seem familiar, not too weird, and special in a good way, like something you read in a book, or maybe a favorite character in a movie. While you’ve never heard the name used for a child before, people who are into the same things as you will get it and think it’s cool, and your child’s peers will get used to it. Other catagories with names you might like are: Exotic Traditional, Youneek, Weird [name]Magic[/name], Princes and Princesses, or Legendary The naming style most unlike yours is New Classics. You probably have been friends with, or dated a few Jennifers, Ryans, Heathers, and Jeffreys, and don’t want to use any of those names for your baby. It’s not likely you’ll find many names to agree on with somone who has that naming style.

Getting there!

Ethnic

You scored 46 popularity, 79 history, 51 creativity, and 92 texture!

You like uncommon, traditional names that have a definate flair, but still have roots in reality. Like Ethnic names. Maybe you’ve done research and found out that your grandfather only became [name]Bob[/name] [name]Smith[/name] because the clerk at [name]Ellis[/name] Island had too much trouble with his real name. Or maybe you lived in another country and love the names that are common there.Try looking up your ethnic roots at www.behindthename.com , there’s lists of names for a wide variety of ethic groups. One word of caution- do your research, and know the language and culture that goes with the name. [name]Don[/name]'t just believe what it says in a baby name book about [name]Neveah[/name] being Slavic for [name]Butterfly[/name]. Other catagories with names you might like are: Weird [name]Magic[/name], Exotic Traditional, Legendary, Old-Fashioned The naming style most unlike yours is Popular. You probably think those names are overused and lacking in roots. It’s not likely you’ll find many names to agree on with somone who has that naming style.

Classic
You scored 56 popularity, 75 history, 28 creativity, and 72 texture!

You like common, traditional names that are solid and down to earth. Some people might even call them boring, but they’re fine names that have stood the test of time. In the book The [name]Baby[/name] Name [name]Wizard[/name], try looking under Timeless, or Solid Citizens. Online, many of the people at www.bigbadbabynames.com like Classic names. The naming style most unlike yours is Kre8tyve. You probably think names like Jaysin and Mackeighli are horrible, and feel sorry for babies inflicted with those names, as they are doomed to years of explaining how their name is spelled. It’s not likely you’ll find many names to agree on with somone who has that naming style. Other catagories with names you might like are: Biblical, Old-Fashioned, Princes and Princesses, Exotic Traditional

I’m kre8tyve. I have to admit. I like out there and creative names. If its a word and It sounds right, I immediately put it on my list. For example:

Soul
[name]Pink[/name]
[name]Fox[/name]
[name]Wolf[/name]
[name]Indio[/name]
[name]Nirvana[/name]
Song
Singer
[name]Onyx[/name]
Tigres
Taiga

I couldn’t help it, I had to do this, haha

Another exotic traditional here! Proud of it

Gotta get the hub to take the test so I can see if he and i match!

I got Androgynous, which surprised me! Hubs did too, which surprised me even more! I thought we’d get [name]Fantasy[/name] or Legendary!

I got Exotic Traditional too!

I would be curious to see what naming style is most prevelant among the 'Berries and how much that influences the opinions on the boards.

My guess (as is so far confirmed by people’s responses) is that most Nameberries fall within the Exotic Traditional category. It seems to fit well with what I’ve seen in terms of the most prevalent style of suggestions on here for the last couple years!

Another Exotic Traditional! It fits me perfectly

I got -
Youneek
You scored 39 popularity, 37 history, 43 creativity, and 50 texture

Which I find a little odd as I don’y like changing the spelling of names at all!!
But my tastes are definitely toward the unusual, ‘hippie’ like names.

I got…

Androgynous

You scored 49 popularity, 38 history, 36 creativity, and 74 texture!

You like uncommon, fresh-sounding names that still aren’t too weird and have a foot firmly on the ground. Using a boyish name for a girl, or a name that’s been slipping into androgyny for a boy sounds a bit offbeat, but at least you’re not making up a name, or mispelling it, you’re just challenging gender rules. Other categories with names you might like are: Exotic Traditional, Legendary, Youneek, Biblical The naming style most unlike yours is Princes and Princesses. You likely find these names to be too sweet, foofy and sparkly. It’s not likely you’ll find many names to agree on with somone who has that naming style.

Exotic Traditional

my opposite is Tryndee names.

I agree with this.
